-I saw your video,
you and Anderson .Paak, who I love.
-Yeah.
-"Don't Slack" is the name of the song.
I heard it a couple months ago. I was -- You were nice enough
to let me hear it.
But now it's available. It's out.
And, dude, what's the weirdest thing, is that it's --
The video is basically set inside someone's living room.
-Yeah, yeah.
So, it's kind of crazy that it worked out that way.
We didn't -- We didn't plan it that way.
Obviously we shot the video at, like, the beginning of February,
and the whole idea was to --
We got Anna Kendrick,
who's obviously the star, you know, the --
Poppy in "Trolls World Tour" and the "Trolls" franchise.
She was game to sort of play this character
that we were just basically, like, trying to cheer up.
And we had come up -- Remember "Drop Dead Fred"?
Like, that was sort of the concept,
was that we were, like, these imaginary friends
that basically, like, antagonize this character
and at the end of the video cheer her up.
And then, you know, obviously
the world is going through what it's going through right now,
and so when people see the video,
I've already gotten a bunch of texts
like, "How -- What -- When did you shoot this video?"
So, yeah. -Yeah.
-We didn't plan it that way, but, yeah.
I guess -- I guess it's not the worst idea
to just have a dance party at your house.
-No. Absolutely not.
It's actually a smart and fun idea.
And who better to do it than you.
It's kind of an interesting time, obviously,
that we're living through, but I think one of
the cool things -- that you're releasing this movie,
or Universal is releasing this movie
on TV, on demand. -Yeah.
-Which is good,
'cause so many kids need something to watch, dude.
My kids are freaking out.
But it also kind of educates my --
I did it with my kids on different types of music.
Like, that's kind of what this one's about.
-Yeah, yeah. I think we --
What's great about this one is we're using, you know --
We're using different genres of music
to kind of bring the message home to young people
and probably remind some older people, too,
that, like, we're all different and that should be celebrated.
And, you know, um -- And it's --
And there's a lot of laughs along the way.
And like you said, like, crazy casts of musicians and actors.
-Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige.
-Yeah. Obviously. Anderson.
-George Clinton. -George Clinton.
-Dude, George Clinton! -Yeah.
-Parliament, P. Funk. -I know. I know.
And, yes. -That's awesome you're exposing
all that music to a new generation of kids.
-Yeah.
I mean, one of the cooler things
is that when we play the soundtrack,
my son definitely continually requests "Atomic Dog."
So I'm like, "If I never do anything again,
I introduced my son to 'Atomic Dog.'"
-Yeah. Exactly, right? My kids are singing Gorillaz.
After the first one, I was like --
-Oh, yeah. -I was like, "That's so cool.
I told my kids who the Gorillaz are."
And I'm like, "Oh, no, it wasn't me. It was Uncle Justin."
-[ Laughs ]
-I can't take credit for anything, man.
Hey, we are asking everyone who comes on the show
to have a charity that they're working with right now
and trying to raise awareness to.
And yours is the GoFundMe America's Food Fund.
-Yes. That's --
Yeah, that's the one that Leo DiCaprio
and Laurene Powell Jobs kind of started,
and I'm donating and supporting that one.
100% of the donations to the fund
go directly to World Central Kitchen and Feeding America.
And those are two organizations that are specifically
distributing meals to those impacted
and in need by COVID-19.
So, yeah. -Yeah.
-Love that one and so happy to be a part of it.
And I think you've done -- Have you done --
You've done stuff
with Feeding America and things like that before.
-Yeah. -I mean, it's one that --
For me, it's a no-brainer and a great one,
and, you know, obviously --
-I know you reached out to the Memphis Food Bank.
-Yeah. We donated to that one specifically.
-Yeah.
-Yeah. -It's crazy.
You know, it's like all this --
All the great honestly charity that's coming through this
and everyone that's kind of -- All the kindness
that's happening from this will help a lot of people.
And I think it's a good, good thing.
Dude, I miss you, and I can't wait to see you in person,
give you a hug, man.
-I miss you, too. -Bye-bye.
-I'll talk to you after this. I'll text you.
-Yes. Yeah, yeah. Just text me after we get off this Zoom.
-I'll talk to you in ten minutes.
-We'll keep doing like Camp Winnipesaukee.
Everybody adopt an air five. -Yeah.
-Everybody keep air-fiving out there. Psh!
-Bye, bud. Love you.
-All right, man. Love you, too, pal.
