  • First Narrow Montalbano This week I interviewed a nurse who traveled a long way to help fight the Corona virus.

  • Her name is Briana Alvarez, and she's American.

  • Last year, she and her husband decided that they wanted to pick up and move to Japan.

  • Briana worked as a nurse in Atlanta, and she kind of put her career on pause so that she and her husband can go and live out this dream that they had.

  • They were loving life and totally happy with their decision.

  • But then the Corona virus hit, so she and her husband made the tough decision to move back to the states.

  • I don't want to say it was a hard decision because we knew it was the right thing to do.

  • But it was a sad decision to make, and now she's back to nursing at Children's Health Care of Atlanta.

  • Knowing that we're doing our best to make a difference helps a little bit.

  • She's just one of many health care workers that have really stepped up during this Louisville pandemic.
