Now, because padlocks tend to be flopping around, drilling them can be both difficult and dangerous. Difficult because it can be hard to drill accurately and dangerous because the drill bit can slip and hit your hand. That's particularly so when you're first getting the bits started. That's why I like to use a disc padlock drilling Jake like this one. It takes advantage of the circular bulges on the front and back to line up the bit with the sheer line. Using it is very easy. Simply place it in, tighten it down, and then we can drill right through that hole with a 3 16 strobe it. So let's see how this Brinks model are 70 with stands are drilling. Yeah, that Okay, I think we got through all of the pens on dhe. Let's see if we have anything we need to clean out hopes. Yeah, there we go. As you can see, the drill bit caught onto the back of the core right after we finished with the last pin and it just pulled that shackle open. So this jig certainly makes drilling these locks more safe and consistent. But I think with an investment of time and practice, picking will still be the faster and safer way in. In any case, that's all I have for you today. If you do have any questions or comments about this, please put them below. If you like this video and would like to see more like it, please subscribe.
