  • We've just been told we will not be allowed off the ship because we were honest and said that we had been coughing the most critical question.

  • When with these ships finally, Doc Amy, we jonesparents air onboard the gendarme.

  • Her father Bill has severe pneumonia.

  • Her mother, Gloria, has a fever.

  • There's no time these people need to get off the ship there.

  • People even more ill than my father.

  • They don't have the time to wait to poor.

  • As the ship's moved closer and closer to Florida, Governor Rhonda Santa said he didn't want the ships docking in the state.

  • You know the way to deal with this is to send medical attention to the ship just to drop people off the place where you know we're having the highest number of cases right now, you know, just just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

  • But President Trump sent a different message at his daily news conference.

  • They're people that are sick in the ship, and we don't want to be like they're gonna be ghost ships.

  • You know, I'm gonna do what's right.

  • Not only for us, but for humanity.

  • Cruise ships around the world have faced the covert 19 crisis head on in an unimaginable way.

  • First, the Diamond Princess held off the coast of Japan for nearly a month.

  • More than 700 Corona virus cases on board, then the Grand Princess off the coast of California with 21 Corona virus cases.

  • And today, Fort Lauderdale finally allowing the to Holland America ships to dock after their long South American journey.

  • So far in Florida, on the sand, um, nine passengers have tested positive after nearly a week of testing.

  • Maur positive cases are likely the cruise lines saying sick passengers will have to stay isolated on board until they recover.

  • Well, Lindsey, it wasn't easy, and this back and forth nearly lasted all week.

  • But eventually everyone agreed on a plan that would help the passengers on these ships and Floridians.

  • So here's what's happening next.

  • Those who need immediate medical attention are being rushed to the hospital and those who are just showing moderate symptoms.

  • They will have to stay on these shifts until they have recovered under CDC guidelines.

  • As for those who are fit to travel, they will be driven straight home.

  • If you have to fly, they'll be taken to the airport, where chartered flights are being arranged so the sick passengers will remain onboard.

  • How will they get treatment?

  • And do we know how long they're expected to remain there?

  • We're talking about more than 250 passengers who reported feeling those flu like symptoms.

  • They will have to stay on these ships until they have recovered again under those CDC guidelines.

  • And as for Care Hall in America, says medical staff on the ships will be taken care of them.
