  • Hi.

  • My name is Elle Fanning, um, here this morning to get into my everyday life.

  • Oh, my name's Trixie Mattel and I wanted to show you guys an easy look.

  • Easy for me, Difficult for you.

  • So I have extremely dry skin, which is not a good match for drag because I tear through my face on a daily basis, So I got to take care of my skin like big time.

  • Otherwise I literally will be in drag and have, like, flakes on my face.

  • So I mean, he's 9 to 5 cleanser from Lush because it's a waterless like cleansing lotion.

  • You play it right on dry skin.

  • It feels like I don't know to me, I only have so many hot water splashes on my face until I feel like I'm actually starting to deplete my natural little barrier and went to beauty school.

  • So So there was that kind of washed that in, and in a way, the devil's in the details.

  • So, like, if you're gonna wear as much makeup, is I where I do want people to get close and be like, Oh my God, that looks really good.

  • Up close, people always tell me I look better in real life than doing pictures, which is supposed to be a compliment, but always like, Well, what kind of trash bag?

  • Double clicking pictures.

  • This is Mac.

  • I've been using this charged water, but this is really good, because it has what?

  • I only back moisturizers.

  • It doesn't have any fragrances.

  • And again, because I'm so dry, even the teeniest fragrance will burn my face.

  • This is a lip oil.

  • I don't know if it's that great with my ex boyfriend Gave it to me.

  • We have a lot of trust.

  • Little skidded Navy A spray.

  • This is the post makeup spray.

  • It's supposed to be for recovery because my skin is so dry and rectal the time that so now we can put makeup on.

  • Okay, I'm gonna glue my eyebrows down, which, you know, this is New York.

  • People do that all the time.

  • So what you gotta do?

  • This is a normal glue stick that used in like kindergarten.

  • They go like against the grain of my eyebrows.

  • I'm really fortunate because I have definitely have eyebrows, but they're not the fullest.

  • So if you're a gentleman who has Fuller, browse probably harder for you.

  • You can really reset the entire like architecture of this part of your face, especially in pictures.

  • If your eyes this big, I think it makes people go like, Oh, her head must be really little for me for better, for worse.

  • It's very apparent that no one ever taught me how to do it because I kind of just, like, do my own version of everything.

  • And then I worked for different makeup companies like it works in a supporter I worked in Alta worked for Mac.

  • I would literally be, you know, at the mall, doing people's makeup all day.

  • And then I would be like closing the register at night, counting money with one hand and glue my eyebrows done with the other hand because I just have to race straight to the club to get in drag.

  • It was like my dirty little secret that I did drag because they didn't want these, like Midwestern white ladies, to find out that they would think that I was gonna make them look like a drink.

  • Then I'm gonna take this little rush.

  • This is one of those, like baby hair, basically beauty stores like night and sense.

  • They're supposed be for your baby.

  • Here's but you just get ready here, rush it up.

  • You can see when it's purple that it's still got me.

  • And when it's not purple, it's dry.

  • Didn't take my little washcloth from earlier, and you noticed there's like so much glue.

  • So I use this to go around the perimeter of my brow to wipe off all the extra and because it's water soluble that just comes.

  • So you do have to like several layers.

  • They'll do layer.

  • I'll just Oh, yes.

  • And then I auditioned for drag race because I was working for a makeup company at the time full time and I was like, Full stop and I don't want to say what company it was because it was not cosmetics, but I got fired.

  • And then I was, like, devastated that I had all this extra free time on my hands like, Well, I guess I'm gonna audition for drag race.

  • I don't have anything else to do, So if I hadn't been fired, it would have never understood her drag race.

  • That would even be right here right now.

  • So while this is drying I'm gonna put some primer on my face.

  • This is our urban decay Optical illusion primer.

  • So then I got to do this.

  • I'm gonna take a brush and fish it out of here with some kind of goddamn criminal.

  • You know, Don't teach this in beauty school.

  • Take a mental picture now of my face.

  • I don't like to make it look too much like a man.

  • This is really the things I do when I get ready.

  • So Okay, so I got to seal these brows.

  • You can see they're kind of way because they're still kind of purple.

  • So I'm gonna go in with this is terrific spotter.

  • I travel with, like, five of these, but this is like something somewhere to my skin tone, but a little darker.

  • I'm going to go in there and start pressing this down.

  • And look how that bitch is disappearing the hardest and log.

  • It's like the hardest thing you get good at is covering your ground.

  • Like all the new baby drag queens will have, like an open house, we call him.

  • But even before I've done foundation like that's disappearing, we're gonna start going to some foundation.

  • So the Trixie makeup.

  • So many different colors.

  • I mean, I travel with, like, four different foundations by different powders, but I'm using a TV paint stick that's still out with drag Queens used this.

  • Is anyone gonna start patting some this over the brows?

  • Because we need some serious coverage then I'm using.

  • A lot of people are shocked that I were liquid foundation, but I do and I'll start going around the eye because with this, how much makeup I where I have to do my eyes first, like a real person would use an eye shadow primer.

  • I sort of used liquid foundation as an eye primer because my eye is gonna be like this big today.

  • I'm using this to base just peachy.

  • And that's palate.

  • I mean, I could do my entire face with this.

  • It's gonna get in here and start who.

  • So I try to do this while the foundation's wet so that I can get it to stick because I get a little more of ah, we could impact with that.

  • So now I'm just going with these darker colors, and I'm sort of adding it around the eye.

  • I mean, I really am destroying like big, dark circles.

  • Roman eyes, eyebrows.

  • It's pretty good.

  • There's a few different brown's from here to do that brows because you don't want all just one brown.

  • It looks nuts.

  • My eyebrows are never even one time.

  • Kimchi was like Trixie.

  • You look really pretty when you're about even.

  • Thank you can.

  • It's really sweet.

  • And because I've been doing a lot of 60 stuff I have been doing a lot of like, Nancy Sinatra is a big one.

  • She follows me on Instagram By the time this comes out, she might change her mind.

  • But so now I got some more made TV pain sticks, and I'm just gonna go and I have to start cleaning up around eyebrows.

  • So get this little concealer brush.

  • 01 I used to use TV white, which is like the off white, but oh, no one is more yellow.

  • And I think that looks better on my skin because of how much pink I wanted.

  • My face usually think pink skin is no other choice.

  • Okay, so that I mean, you can tell it's not really much, but once we start to do this, we start to really see some shape.

  • I'm just softening up around the edges.

  • It takes the more my studio picks fluid and start doing the full layer here.

  • This is my TV white paint stick.

  • I'm gonna start doing my shapes.

  • That's kind of like where we operate.

  • Mistake This giant sponge.

  • Start doing this stuff.

  • We have all the shadow, right?

  • And we have all this crane.

  • We have this hard line.

  • So what are we gonna do with that?

  • Quit?

  • No.

  • And I'm gonna get in there, and I'm gonna use just the tip toe bounce along the perimeter of it, and that starts to marry it without moving it too much.

  • I mean, people have told me that my nose is a white worm swimming and chocolate pudding, and I don't think they're wrong.

  • That's most of the highlight.

  • So we can go in and start doing, um, Contours taken makeup, school and stuff there like you give a shot.

  • Think sharing needles says dr please.

  • We just draw brown circles around all of her features, and we think that people think we live with a woman.

  • So this is how I'm gonna marry this this side of this sponge you can tell There's, like, a one cup around side that he's see how fast a brunette the highlight is.

  • I mean, people, when you look at the Trixie makeup, you see the contour.

  • But I see the highlight, as you can see, is the part that really makes it, like, three dimensional.

  • So I can see this one is higher than this one.

  • So you can just go in there and kind of reassign the geometry of that.

  • I don't know what you guys when I'm watching people do their makeup.

  • I'm like, I think I like dirty talking myself.

  • Like I'm watching someone to make up with Mike.

  • All right, so two finishes off, we gotta take you take this little contra pellet again.

  • I don't know this, like, 38 bucks, but I've had this for literally two years, so I really have to be participle.

  • All right, so I'm powdering this.

  • Okay.

  • Tupperware container for my Kia.

  • I put like four different powders in here because maybe I want the coverage of one, but I want the whatever of the other.

  • This is it.

  • This is Ben, I fair mixed with a respond coding powder that like grandma powder.

  • But because we have so much makeup on, I have to really part of the show.

  • This this one's mostly translucent, but it has a little bit of covered.

  • So, to be honest, it kind of just helps give everything a common relationship because it all has the same salary.

  • I'm getting rid of all this makeup.

  • What do you see?

  • How it makes everything like married.

  • This is an nine relief deep around on my forehead.

  • I'm gonna go back in this little palate and borrow some of this, get really close and just add some deaf there, because once you add that, look how like that is such a fake shape.

  • But if you do it right here, I just believe that that's my face.

  • I've been using pretty much the same white eyeliner for a very long time.

  • This is the Knicks white gel liner pitch.

  • This $5 I'm gonna get right in here, and it's I mean, look, all pick, that is you guys know how hard it is to get a white product that it's like full coverage.

  • Look at that once.

  • Wait.

  • So we got to do that part of the eye because that's sort of the Trixie part that everybody remembers.

  • And then same brush clean right under the brow with it makes the darker spots like darker, existing cleaner.

  • There's definitely things watching myself on TV that you learn the hard way.

  • You're like, Oh, that does not look very thought.

  • It looks I almost forgot my island.

  • So we're gonna be drawing on an island here.

  • Peach butter.

  • I also don't want my eyelid to be as white as this.

  • You know, I want it to seem like it's a skin color versus, like a shocking white eyeliner.

  • So it's all going to start to make sense.

  • Will dig it island around.

  • I mean, you guys could imagine how much island and go through a few.

  • You see this?

  • That's pretty much the shape We're going forward.

  • You see the difference.

  • It's a huge difference.

  • Everything so deliberate and we're not using any of my real features.

  • So right now I have, like a you know, this eyeliner and this shadow and trying to, like, use the black eye shadow.

  • I don't want to see a line.

  • I'm just sort of buffing it so that I get sort of disappearance there.

  • This applicator is all these little teeth, and I wear so much makeup that my lashes are covered in, like powder and foundations.

  • I need to go in and paint them completely black.

  • Oh, I hate people were lashes and no Maschera.

  • Go home.

  • Don't even go out.

  • We got these individuals.

  • I like clashes with a clear band because I want to see the lash.

  • I don't want to see the band.

  • I don't want to see a plastic backbone of the last thing that looks shitty, most like hissy fits I've ever thrown publicly or because, but as well start watering and the lashes will start to pop off.

  • And then it's like I'm trying to do comedy or whatever, and I can feel them peeling and I just cannot handle it.

  • Remember, I was on the set for my music video for Break your Heart away from you.

  • For me, the lips are like a whole drama, like I literally were like five different lip pencils were about to go on that trip together.

  • Cool.

  • You see how that now it's like warmer started to turn into a real thing, so Stacy could be upon option like a hot pink.

  • But I want to do I really want to try this meeting, So I'm gonna do some Jeffrey started.

  • Drug Lord, I really want to try this.

  • Oh, my God.

  • Oh, yeah, because we did that white underneath.

  • You do get more of ah, like there's more of a dimension in the middle.

  • Oh, my God.

  • Oh, shivering white.

  • Oh, my God.

  • If you're anybody who's like a makeup person, you want to any sort of like special effects?

  • Ah, flat, White.

  • This is basically a giant way eye shadow.

  • And I'm using it right under my eye on this side and look at the difference from, like, this side to the side, like you almost can't really tell, But it's white, but it makes the lashes look blacker.

  • If that makes sense, it's like, what a difference.

  • So I'm gonna pop up in this little thirsty palate from Jeffrey, so I like sometimes even eye shadow palette has colors in it that I can use this wash.

  • I'm happy because I don't blush.

  • Okay?

  • This is my favorite part of every makeup.

  • Everybody should work blush.

  • I don't care who you are.

  • I actually love on men I love the look of.

  • There's a few guys in l.

  • A who will do, like the kind of wear Western looks.

  • And then they do clean skin with, like, blush and they look like Howdy Doody And I don't know, I just think it's so cool.

  • Listen, I don't know if setting sprays are real, but I use them anyway because they get them sent to me for free.

  • I'm just gonna finish office.

  • Some highlighter.

  • This is about a 45 year old highlighter called Whisper of Guilt that I'm sure they don't even make any more.

  • You guys like Quick's most people, I think most people's favorite thing about dragons, wigs, I think most drag queens.

  • They want to put on the wig.

  • Now.

  • The great thing about not having hair is I don't have to do anything you could just literally place it will go on with my life.

  • I'll do is put the wig on and then take like, a mental picture of like where that is, and then I'll take it off so I can go in and remove like all of this, Then this is a little spirit gum a minute.

  • Just paint the perimeter, does it?

  • You're putting this adhesive over makeup yet He's just gonna makes it the makeup.

  • And then you're basically gluing Make a pigment to your wig, which is not the look sense.

  • Get up in here and hello.

  • So I'm doing this white thing today.

  • Supercool somebody.

  • It's a foundation on my hands because I have Ah, I mean, just, like, doesn't match for days.

  • See you much better.

  • Who I like to do my own nails because I think it's a very like experience.

  • This is some riel shit.

  • I used to get in full drag and then put my big meals on and then paint them because apparently I wanted to feel like a this impulsive, burnt marshmallow on leather jacket.

  • People started giving this music gift was like, Why would anyone want to smell like a leather jacket?

  • Are telling you it is so weird spelling, but in a good way.

  • So I'm not really into necklaces.

  • But I love hearings.

  • These big, weird, like, half moon shapes.

  • That was cool.

  • Do you think this here makes me look like Falco?

  • Or for the never ending story?

  • Never.

  • All right, this is the look.
