Available any number of different sizes ranging from eight millimeter shackles all the way up to this 16 millimeter behemoth, and this one weighs in just shy of £3. I have featured similar locks in the past, including this multi lock see 16 and this Yale smart padlock 16. Now the great thing about this design is that it has brass on the inside for superior weather resistance and hardened steel armor on the outside to resist brute force. But this one is different. It has steel on both the inside and the outside. To be honest, I'm not sure why they use the two part construction other than to look like a popular locked model. So let's see what it takes to get into this. It has a seven pin dimple core, so it should provide some challenge. Unlike many similar locks, this does not have a dust guard on the bottom. We're going to put some tension in here with this Z bar and I'm going to be using one of my multi pick dimple picks. Okay, little click out of one. Nothing on two. Click on three Little click on four. Look out of five click out of six. Nothing on seven. Back to the beginning. Nothing on one, too. Think I gotta click out of three? Might have gotten something on four. Nothing on 56 Little click on seven Feels like we might have taper pins in here on two. Click out of three Click out of four. Nothing on 56 Very Go Click out of seven and you got this open so it did not feel like there were any security pins. Although we may have had some papers on the ends of them. Let's take this apart and see if we can figure out what's inside. Now that the shackle is out, the inside can be removed by taking this small set. Screw out of position. Yeah, and right away I can see this is a vastly different design from things like the multi lock, which would have a large opening here showing the mechanism and then the dust cover, which would come off. Let's drop this out. We can see most of the ball bearing locking mechanism there. See? Okay. And what do we have to do to get this core apart? Okay, this is unusual. This core feels like it's made out of aluminum, and it is permanently assembled with a pin that goes in the top here. So without drilling that pin out, we are not going to be able to take this apart. So that's a little bit on the disappointing side. I was hoping to see what was inside and confirmed that there were no security pins in there. Either way, I think they could have done a better job on that core. In any case, that's all I have for you today. If you do have any questions or comments about this, please put them below.
