  • Hello, everyone, and welcome to another video.

  • Now, this is an E V g a g Tex 5 70 H D graphics card.

  • And I found this as part of a system on Facebook a while ago.

  • It was part of an X 58 bill that I paid very little money for.

  • I got lucky with a pretty decent deal, and we're in the video where we tested out that system.

  • I paid more attention to the process or itself eventually pairing it with the Jew ticks 10 70 Now in today's one.

  • Before I send this off to its newfound home, I wanted to give it one last harassed, so to speak and see what it can do in modern Triple eight titles.

  • Now I think the last time we took a look at a G ticks 5 70 individually was a couple off years ago.

  • Now on in that video, we didn't really test that many games, so I've lined up a few more demanding ones today and I want to see what this could do, especially when it's over.

  • Clocked a little bit as well.

  • No, I've taken the cork look up from the stock.

  • 732 megahertz, all the way to 850 stable.

  • That's as high as I could get it without adjusting the voltage.

  • And I've also tweaked the memory clock as well to 2000 megahertz.

  • So it should be interesting to see what this thing can do in terms of its gaming performance.

  • So this being the HD version of the card, it's a little bit shorter in terms of the cooler than other do Tex five seventies on the market.

  • And this gave me some concerns at first in terms of temperature.

  • But it turns out that the idols at around 34 degrees and gets all the way up to 79 under load, which really isn't that bad.

  • It also requires two six pin PC I express connectors.

  • But enough about the design of the card.

  • Let's see what it can do in terms of running modern triple A games and see whether or not one of these, which can be picked up for very little money these days, is actually worth buying or not.

  • So I started with player unknowns, battle grounds and decided to test the performance in the lobby.

  • Initially with the framer Accept Unlimited in the game set to very low with 7 20 p resolution, it looked as though we were off to a promising start because of the different maps and locations, assets and people on screen, et cetera.

  • The frame rate will differ sometimes quite significantly in different scenarios.

  • As we made our Laghi way out off the plane with your ways, causes performance issues on older cards and touched down on the ground, I started to see a slightly lower frame rate here than previously, and the game averaged around the mid thirties.

  • As expected, the 5 70 was running at 99 or 100% usage, and this will be the case most of the time.

  • Furthermore, due to the 1.2 gigs of the Ram, even selecting the lowest settings in some games will mean that we still exceed the limit.

  • The effects of this could be stuttering and frame drops.

  • I believe a 2.5 gig version of this card also exists, though it's unlikely you'd see much of a difference purely because of the drivers support or rather, the lack off since March of last year.

  • You may have also noticed I'm running these tests where they call I 5 84 100 as opposed to the rise and 5 1600 I normally use.

  • The reason for this will be explained in another video.

  • For rest assured, this CPU will actually give us better gaming performance.

  • So what you're seeing here is essentially the four potential off this card at these clock speeds.

  • I've also up to the system ram to 16 gigs.

  • Of course, there L P x 3200 megahertz DDR foreign jewel channel back to the game, and you should see more than 30 f b s a lot of the time at this resolution.

  • Next up, it's fallout 76 at 7 20 p.

  • With the low settings and all of the details, sliders turned down to minimum.

  • Thegame couldn't quite hit 30 frames per second with the 5 70 year we came very close sometimes, but at the end of the day, 25 frames per second should be expected.

  • I got into a little bit of unarmed combat, which, of course, dropped the frame rate a bit more, but the game never went any lover than 20.

  • If that's any consolation.

  • Graphically, Fallout 76 still doesn't look too bad at low settings.

  • It's just like a more colorful version of fallout for whether that means they will both perform similar to each other.

  • I don't know, but I can't imagine you'd Seymour than 30 F.

  • P s in that game, either.

  • It seems that using a G Tex 5 70 with the shadow of the Tomb Raider, unlock some sort of secret D.

  • L.

  • C in the way of a new outfit for Lara Croft, a black Pixley shimmery Get up that will hurt your eyes if you look at it for too long, always expect to see long undiscovered artifact in this game, Siri's.

  • But these artifacts are just ridiculous, really.

  • The lack of modern drivers support has affected this game rather negatively, but it could be worse, as I'll show you a little later on.

  • The actual frame rate wasn't too bad at 100 by 628 frames per second was the average A case That's not good, but it did exceed 30 in some sparsely populated areas and might mean that you could get away with playing if you really had to actually No, it's it's really not all that pleasant and CS go, um, or CPU intensive game.

  • We saw 90 F.

  • P s on average, the GPU.

  • We're still running at 95 to 100% most of the time, which, of course, impacted these performance figures.

  • But you're easily be able to hit 60 frames per second plus online, which I think is essential to some when it comes to fast paced, online first person game play.

  • A drop in resolution should improve this overall average a little more, but I see no reason to do so when we're seeing pretty decent results already.

  • This test was carried out on the popular dust to map, so performance may very elsewhere, but I don't think it should be two different if I'm being honest now, don't adjust your sharpness or call your optician because Metro Exodus really is this blurry.

  • To get the game to, Rana had to drop the resolution to 11 76 by 664 the lowest supported here, as well as drop the scale to 50%.

  • So that's why the game looks like this Metro exit.

  • It's actually a beautiful game, even on the low settings, but it's a little harder to appreciate when it looks like this.

  • Moreover, these graphical tweaks didn't help performance.

  • We saw an average of just 12 frames per second during the in game benchmark run.

  • Actual gameplay might be a little different, but not significantly.

  • It was the fire effect, so that really made this card struggle, dropping us down to single figures.

  • In some instances, I'll have to choke this one down to unplayable, I think, in Doom or the doomed demo.

  • I had to use the same resolution, though this was fully scaled, so it wasn't blurry, and I could actually see what I was doing with the low settings and anti Lessing Awful together, the introductory level returned an average frame rate of 34.

  • This will sometimes dropped to the low twenties in certain areas, or sometimes just for what appears to be no reason.

  • So you might consider this result too inconsistent to be playable.

  • It seems that the 5 70 doesn't have too much life left in it anymore.

  • Actually, I say that, but then a certain title will come along and really surprise you in terms of how well it does it's actually quite a mixed bag of results.

  • Just cause for, though, wasn't one of those pleasant surprises.

  • The resolution or settings do not matter what matters.

  • That, if you are prone to seizures, is the result of flashing images that you look away now because this is not a very good game to play on the Judy X 5 70 In fact, it's like staring at a strobe light.

  • 14 FBs was the average 7 20 p.

  • But even turning things down to 6 40 by 4 80 the game's lowest supported Reyes doesn't help out here.

  • To be honest, the overcooked doesn't really make much of a difference, either.

  • In some cases, I'm sure it makes a little difference to some results.

  • But the fact is, the end of driver support is really what stops this card from doing any better and no amount.

  • Of course, be tweaking is going to fix that.

  • I decided to finish up with an older title that, despite sage, still causes issues with powerful modern hardware.

  • Thanks to Paul optimization, I am, of course, talking about GT A four around the benchmark test, a 10 80 p, using the high and very high settings where we saw an average of 32 f.

  • P s.

  • But after turning that resolution down to 900 p on turning some of the settings down to low and medium, the card handled the game a lot better, though it wasn't a leg free experience once again, I think it's fair to say that we can pin some of these issues on the game itself, as it's never really run all that well on a wide range of hardware, including some top end GP use.

  • So all in all this has been the genetics 5 71.2 gigabyte HD edition.

  • Look back.

  • I hope you've enjoyed it.

  • I think it's pretty clear to see that the 5 70 won't really do all that well anymore.

  • Some games will still surprise you like player unknowns.

  • Battle grounds on C s go were unjust.

  • Fine as well, of course, being more CPU intensive.

  • But if you're planning on buying one of these cards, my advice would be to perhaps don't, um because of the lack of drivers support on the fact that 1.2 gigs of the ramp probably isn't enough anymore.

  • And as I said before.

  • I don't think buying the 2.5 gig version of the card will help in any way because firmly cards.

  • Unfortunately, as much as I like them probably aren't worth the investment, even if you are only paying a little bit of money for them.

  • Of course, it's nice to have it and maybe an old school retro build, because older games will run pretty much flawlessly.

  • It's still a great card when it comes to playing titles from, say, six or seven years ago.

  • But don't expect to slot one of these in your system and fire up Battlefield five anyway.

  • I'm gonna in the video there.

  • I hope you guys enjoyed it.

  • If you did leave a like on it.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to another video.
