I wouldsayitprobablytookbetweenfiveand 10 yearsbefore I wasconvincedbythebrutepoweroftheanalysisthatithadtobetakenseriouslyandasthathappened, becausethetheorywasfirstlaidoutonlylinguisticallyandstatistically, therewasnoneuropsychology.
Therewasnoneurobiology.
Therewasnorealtheory.
Therewasnodevelopmentaltheory.
Itwasjustlexicaldescription.

Itwaslike a theoryinsearchof a placetoexistaswell.

Andif I tookthemost, if I tookthequestionsthatmostdifferentiated, thebest I couldeverdowasabout 75% classificationaccuracy.
Andthat's probably a bitofanoverestimation, becausethestatisticaltechnique I usedwaspredicatedonthefactthatwealreadyknewwhichmeninwhichwomenhadansweredthesequestionsandsocapitalizedtosomedegreeonchance.
