And in this tutorial, I'm gonna teach you how to pass a number serious test.

And this kind of test involves a series of numbers and you have to decide which number comes next, or sometimes which number completes the serious.

I'm gonna work through a number of questions for you in slow time.

So you understand exactly what they are and, more importantly, how to tackle them under time condition.

Straight into it.

What is a number serious test Will.

You are presented with a series of numbers and you have to, as upset, decide evil Which number comes next in the series at the end or completes a series.

So in this case, we have to decide which number goes there in the middle.

Now, this is generally quite easy to want to this particular test question, and I'm just gonna use it to demonstrate the process that I recommend you go through when tackling each and every number.

Siri's test question.

So I would always start from the left hand side and then look for patterns and sequences based on the numbers even increasing or decreasing.

Now they might be increasing by addition.

Well, multiplication.

Well, they might be decreasing by subtraction or even division.

So the 1st 2 numbers of the left we're looking for a pattern.

Those two are increasing by two.

Then the second and third numbers are also increasing by tubes of straight away.

That is a pattern.

And then, if we look at the fifth and the sixth number, we can see there, they are also increasing by two on.

That just confirms that the third and fourth she'll increase by two said that correct answer, therefore, would be seven in this case, up really easy.

Let's take a look at one which is slightly hard.

So again we have to decide which number completes the Siri's there next to the 20.

Okay, so again, starting on the left inside the 1st 2 numbers.

There is a difference.

There are three, and then the next two numbers two and three.

There's a difference of four and then the third and fourth the difference of five.

So there's the pattern straight away, plus three plus four plus five plus six would give us 26.

Now, just to confirm that is correct.

26 plus seven would be 33.

Okay, because that's the number increasing.

Got 3456 and seven.

OK, just to make sure you understand how these work and you're getting a grass with this, have a go yourself.

I want to stress the timer is pretty tight.

I'm only gonna give you about 12 seconds if it's too tight.

The important thing is that you get get the question correct.

Let's take a look at another 11 That's harder this time.

We got to to decide which two numbers complete the serious, so we've got those two there to pick out.

So once again, starting from left to right, let's look for these Siri's and patterns.

So this time the 31st and third number increases by two.

Then the third and 50 odd numbers increased by two.

And then the 15 7 also increased biting.

So those air going up by two.

That means, therefore that that one is six because we have 246 and eight Now if we look at the even numbers, so number two and four is going up by 34 and six has gone up by three and six and eight going up by three.

Therefore, that one would have to be 11.

So it just picking out those Siri's in those sequences right?

Okay, so we're making really good progress.

Now let's take a look at another type of number.

Serious question.

Which number comes next in this year's got 2 to 4 12 48 and then we have to decide which number comes there.

So this is a lot hard because we can't actually simply straightaway see a pattern because the 1st 2 numbers are the same, so it's harder to work out.

Therefore, we need to look for a different kind off pattern.

So again stick into our tried and tested formula.

Starting off from the left, we can see that the first number two, if we multiply it by one that gives us two and then the second number.

If we multiply by that, that by two, which is an increasing one that gives us four, then then multiply four by three, which is an increasing bond gives us 12 than 12 times for again, and increasing one is 48.

Therefore, 48 multiplied by five would give us 240.

So all that is happening there as the series progresses, each number is being multiplied by one Maur each time.

So two times one equals 22 times 24 times 3 12 times four, 48 times five.

And that gives us the answer.

So the key here is to practice lots of these questions, and you'll you'll then become used to the patterns because then they will just simply repeat themselves.
