  • I've been asked by lots of people if I can help them to create the perfect CV.

  • So when you're applying for a job, there's a couple of really important things to do.

  • Now I've created a sample CV here.

  • I'm gonna quickly go through it, and then I'm gonna tell you where you can download instantly.

  • And then you can fill in the blanks on the CV and use it for your own job applications.

  • Now the important thing is to make sure your CV is a couple of pages longer than most ideal, even gettinto one page that is perfect.

  • In the past, employers wanted more and more details, but nowadays they want one or two pages at the most.

  • It needs to be neat.

  • It needs to be professional, succinct to the point, but more importantly, it needs to match the job description for the role that you're applying.

  • For now, this layout of used many times for helping people out you to apply for jobs, and virtually everybody gets through to the interview stage using it.

  • Now you'll notice on here like a sail till you wake and download the soon I'll go through quickly.

  • The different details of the CV across the name sorry.

  • Across the top.

  • Just put CV and into your name where the yellow parts are.

  • So I would put CV and I would put Richard Matsch one there, then your contact details.

  • Now, this is important, but on email on your telephone number.

  • Okay.

  • Don't put a home telephone number.

  • Put your mobile telephone number on there.

  • And if you have an answerphone message on your mobile, make sure it's professional.

  • Okay?

  • So if you put a mobile on there and you've got a stupid answer phone message that doesn't put you across in a professional manner, then don't put it down there.

  • Okay?

  • But most people just put an email, but I'd want to be contacting you to see if you're available for a telephone interview or you're available for an in person interview.

  • See contact lenses.

  • Go there just to e mail on a main telephone contact number.

  • Then put your address there.

  • Fill in the the yellow parts.

  • Your name on a full address goes there.

  • Okay, including postcode.

  • Now your skills, experience and qualifications.

  • Now, this is important.

  • So what you're gonna do is you're gonna give them a hard hitting couple of paragraphs about what you do that are relevant to the runner.

  • You might have to tweak this a little bit.

  • This is based on somebody applying for a customer service role.

  • But I put here I am a highly experienced and self motivated.

  • Enter your current job role there or, if you're not in a job, just put individual with a reputation for professionalism, loyalty, exceptional customer service, a willingness to learn a commitment to high standards in all areas of my work.

  • Moving on, I recognize the importance of strong customer service efficiency, time management and can be relied upon to work unsupervised What's delivering the objects of my role.

  • I have many transferrable qualities, including X and communication skills, both verbal and ren.

  • I'm a flexible individual works well in a team structure as well as on my own initiative.

  • So just a quick on important disclaimer.

  • Obviously, if you're gonna use that which is hard hitting and it's positive, make sure that actually applies to you.

  • That's my disclaiming gonna make sure that does actually apply to you.

  • But I've used that many job applicants for clients, and it works.

  • Okay, It gets you across in a positive light, with loads of great skills that the majority off employees will be looking for.

  • Okay, so next thing during my career, I've used various software packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and then list all of the different ones that you've used.

  • If you have used different ones, my qualifications include, so then do apart qualifications.

  • So list all of your qualifications here, not just whether it's o levels a levels.

  • GCS is whatever.

  • If you have any other kind of qualifications like I've got a diploma and management studies, I will put that down as well.

  • Now, any qualifications that relevant to the role you're applying for, put them first, okay?

  • And then work experience or what you do, you list all of your prior work experience.

  • Now, if you are say, for example, my age and your 47 or approaching 50 you might have quite a few jobs on there.

  • You need to list them or within reason.

  • If you have tons of different jobs, I would probably just list the 1st 4 rolls, ongoing in chronological order to start with one, the latest one that you're even now your previous role and then list the ones further down.

  • But some of you might have had loads of different jobs where you could go through an entire CV.

  • I wouldn't put them all on there.

  • But this is important thing to do.

  • It's a work experience, the date range here.

  • So put the date range that goes there.

  • So it might be January 2000 and 10 to present or something like that.

  • The job title on the name of the employer will go there and then put a brief description of your duties.

  • So this is a sample only I worked for employee X for X years, during which time I performed the role off.

  • Put your title there to a very high standard.

  • This position require me to assist the company director and sales team by keeping accurate up to date on GDP, GDP are compliant records to all customers, stakeholders in applicants, wells, juicing quality correspondents on delivery and exceptional customer service.

  • My responsibilities include a few examples here being the first point of contact for customer enquiries.

  • General inquires and leads by above.

  • Telephone email in person, providing a reassurance.

  • Welcome to all customers who contact the office with white telephone, email or face to face preparation of accurate Hi Gordy sells tickets for goods and services that cell preparation of adverts and editorial used Avery software packages.

  • The list goes on.

  • They can see.

  • I've put about 10 different responsibilities.

  • Now these responsibilities again.

  • This is my disclaimer.

  • If you're gonna use them, they have to be relevant to what you did.

  • But he is an important tip.

  • Get a copy of the job description and then list all the qualities that are relevant to it for the role you're applying for.

  • So you would do this part.

  • Fool all the different roles that you read the work.

  • Experience the date range in the employment job Title employee goes there a brief description, a few lines and then list in bullet point.

  • Fashion your responsibilities and finally put references.

  • Put two references.

  • Okay, Really important.

  • Employees do look for references.

  • Don't just put available upon request.

  • Okay, What you have to do is put the name address, obviously not.

  • Purse address, email and telephone number of the reference if they see that these two references and they see that these people listed now we obviously have to contact references first to make sure they're willing to give you a positive reference.

  • But it looks more appealing because if I look at that and if you've already briefed your references and they are available, that tells me that you're a good egg, you're a good person.

  • And these people, I could bring them up, which will will do.

  • And they will put you forward.

  • But you could just do a little No, please don't contact unless I'm successful.

  • You know, you could put that if you wanted to.

  • Especially one of them is your current employer.
