I came all the way to find 五味子!五味子! my favorite berries. 英文是Schisandra(五味子) You know what it is? 你們有聽過Schisandra(五味子)嗎? Omija, omija. Schisandra就是五味子 In English is Schisandra. 韓文就是omija Have we ever heard about schisandra? O 就是韓文 五 Shisandra is five-flavored berries. 我現在要做非常好喝 So in Korean omija. 非常非常好喝的五位子茶 O- means five. 喔!等一下~我要先戴 I'm going to make really delicious, 我的太陽鏡 delicious omija punch today. 我沒辦法直視你們 Oh, by the way, I have to wear 太陽太強啦~ my sunglasses. 這個地方的名產就是五味子 I can't look at you directly now. 先讓我給你看看五味子長怎樣 Because the sunlight's too strong. 還不是盛產的季節 This area is famous for omija. 盛產季節是秋天 大概九月 First I wanna show you what omija looks like. 這是冷凍的 但我想先給你們看看 These days is not harvest time. 它們長得很像小小的葡萄 Harvest time is fall, in September. 顏色是紅色的 This is frozen one, but I wanna show you 非常漂亮 然後這是乾的五味子 this look like the little bunch of grapes. 我從紐約帶乾的來 Color is red. 所以住在美國的 你們可以去韓國超市買 Gorgeous, and this omija is dried. 那種大型韓國超市 I brought this from New York, 他們現在都有在賣 so you guys can go to Korean grocery store, 你可以去看看 large Korean grocery store, 五~味~子~ these days they sell omija. 一點點甜 但又非常的酸 So you can check it out later. 然後又有點鹹鹹的 Five-flavored berries. 聽起來是不是怪怪的 Sweet, and very, very sour, 有一點點鹹 and a little bit salty. 味道有點重 Weird, eh? 又有點辣 然後又有些苦苦的 A little salty. 亞洲文化苦的東西 And kind of pungent, 對身體好 or spicy, and of course it's bitter. 有醫療的作用 Asian culture, sometimes bitter things are 所以就是因為才叫五味子 它帶 甜 酸 鹹 辣 good for your body. 又苦 重口味 Medicinal purpose. 你咬它的時候 So these five: sweet, sour, salty, spicy, 會感覺到 and bitter taste. You know? 離這裡很近 當時聳人聽聞 Because all vegetables are good. 在韓國 幾年前 Everybody says that! 他101歲 "Oh, even eggplant is good for your body!" (laughs). 他在99歲的時候拿到汽車駕照 You know what I'm saying? 哈哈哈 But something happened to my life. 然後他老婆大約98歲 I just watched a TV show, Korean TV show. 到底是什麼秘密? I saw a man, 101 year old man, 他看起來超健康 and he's from Chungcheong province, 每個人都想活久一點 somewhere near here, sensational at that time 但如果你很長壽但 in Korea, a few years ago. 都臥病在床10年 He's 101 years old. 你知道吧!哈哈哈 He got his driver's license at the age of 99. 所以你就必須要健康 有活力 (laughs) 你必須要至少能動你的身體 And his wife is 98, something. 那才是真正的長壽 So what is the secret? 那個老頭就真的是那樣 He's just look really, really healthy. 他還自己種五味子 Everybody wants to live long life, 他的方法是用新鮮的五味子 but it doesn't mean that you have long life 跟很多的糖一起攪 with sick in bed for 10 years. 然後發酵100天 You know what I'm saying? (laughs) 然後他把五味子過濾 So you gotta be healthy, energetic, 只留濃縮的果汁 and you should be able to move your body. 再把它們放進玻璃罐 That means that real longevity. 每一天倒一點加點水一起喝 He was just exactly that kind of person. 他就這樣喝五味子茶了60年 He cultivated omija, omija in his yard. 然後我看到他的臉 His way of making is fresh omija 靈活的身體跟體力 mixed with sugar, lots of sugar, 我就想到要喝五味子 and then 100 days and he ferment it. 以前韓國的君王就是喝這個 After that he strained, 但就是在電視上看到這個老先生 and took out the extract, 我就想 and then he put it in a jar, 天啊!我現在就要喝這個五味子茶! every day omija mixed with water. 我就跑去韓國超市 60 years he has been taking this omija tea, 找到一包一包的那種五味子 and then when I saw his face, 就是這個乾的 and body, way of acting, energy, 就是為啥我想知道這到底是什麼東東 and then I thought omija 聞慶市產50%的五味子 is what Korean kings used to drink. 是韓國的50% But just when I watched him on TV, 是從這裡產的 I just changed my mind. 所以我想跟你們分享這個地方 "Oh my, I gotta take this omija tea from now!" 非常漂亮 and then I went to Korean grocery store. 為了來這裡 車子繞來繞去走山路 I found omija package. 繞來繞去~繞來繞去~(哈哈哈) This omija package. 非常深山裡面 That's why, I really want to know about this, 這裡也比較冷 but this Mungyeong area is 50% 就是非常高海拔 of whole products of omija in Korea 總之 我們是用這方法做的 is produced in this area. 然後你就可以享用五味子茶 This area I want to show you this area. 你可以放在冰箱 Really pretty. 五味子茶 In order to come here, car was zigzag, 但是我們是不是要把它弄得更好喝 zigzag, zigzag (laughs). 對吧 And this is really deep in the mountain, 所以我們現在要用很特別的方法 and this is cooler than usual place here. 是韓國傳統的方法 So this is like really high, above the sea level. 我要做麵條 Anyway, we made this way, 這是綠豆粉條 and then you can drink this omija tea. 綠豆粉條 你們應該知道我之前的食譜 You can keep in the refrigerator, 綠豆粉條 and omija tea. 然後我再加韓國調味方式 But we gotta make it more delicious, 把它們混在一起吃 isn't it? 通常綠豆粉條會用來做 So, I'm going to make very unique way, 很好吃的粉條 but this is also Korean traditional way. 一杯的水 I will make noodles. 綠豆粉條 So this is mung bean starch. 綠豆粉條也可以在韓國超市買到 Mung bean starch, you know from my previous recipe, 2湯匙再加1茶匙 mung bean starch jelly, 就是2湯匙再加1茶匙 and then I make a kind of Korean seasoning 1/4茶匙的鹽 and mix together and enjoy. 混合 And this mung bean starch is also used 中火 持續攪拌 to make really nice, nice noddles. 等一下就會成型 One cup water. 然後就會有清澈的粉條 Mung bean starch. 現在就等他凝固 You can buy this at a Korean grocery store. 這個只需要5分鐘 Two tablespoons, and one teaspoon. 昨天去完聞慶是城門 And two plus one teaspoon. 看到有個韓國電視劇的片場 Quarter teaspoons salt. 一些歷史劇 電視劇 And then mix. 都在這裡拍 Cook over medium, and keep stirring. 你可以在這租借傳統宮廷服飾 So sooner or later, it will set, 所以我變身成1分鐘女皇 and you will have some clear jelly, 你看!哇! and then we just make it solidified. 看起來好好吃 It takes only five minutes. 2小時冷卻 就可以了 Yesterday after Mungyeong Saejae, 這是綠豆粉條 there is a Korean KBS drama set, 我3小時前已經先做好了 some historical movies, dramas 現在有點硬 are filmed here. 我來切它 There is a place where you try on costumes 先洗一下手 from dramas, so I became a one-minute queen. 水非常冷 (instrumental music) 通常會切成有點大塊 You see, oh my! 但我覺得大塊 Looks delicious. 有點難用湯匙吃 Around two hours later, it will be set. 不好舀起來 And this is mung bean jelly. 所以我現在把它切小塊一點 I made this three hours ago. 非常好 Now this is hard. 很像小方塊 I will cut it. 再來是梨子 Let me wash my hands. 你就可以切片 Really cold water. 或是我用刨切器 Usually like you cut into match sticks, 把它用漂亮一點 but I found out that match sticks, 五味子茶 when you scoop this with a spoon, 冰塊 it's not easy to scoop. 綠豆粉條 So I will just make really small cubes, 梨子 and really nice. 然後這是松子 放幾個 Like small cubes. 我通常會把頭拔掉 And pear. 好了!
