So what is a prefix? A prefix is a group of letters that are added to the beginning of a word to change its meaning or make a new word. Do you understand or did you miss? I understand. The prefix out can add the meaning of not central or external denounce and adjectives. Words like outskirts outlying and outpatients are common. For example, the building is on the outskirts of town or most of the outlying region is death. Out can also add the meaning away from. For example, at the station, someone might ask, Excuse me, what time is your outbound journey? And when you arrive, your friend can meet you with outstretched arms. Years out can also affect verbs by adding the meaning going further than or being better than to make words like outlive outmatch and outperform, for example. My grandma is very healthy.
