  • thank you all very much honored to be with the prime minister of Ireland.

  • We've known each other now for quite a while and we have a great relationship on a great relationship with Ireland and we have a lot to discuss.

  • We will be talking about the obvious and we'll also be talking about the virus.

  • That's it.

  • The world.

  • See, they canceled their big soccer games there, championship games and a lot of other games.

  • They've cancelled a lot over in Europe and all over the world.

  • So this is a big world problem.

  • We've taken some bold steps.

  • We took the original bolder step of all when we close very early with China, God helped us save thousands of lives and we went very early with Europe on duh.

  • I think that'll like what is be very good and hopefully we can get it back together very quickly in terms of we establishing with China that's contracted.

  • Something happened fairly quickly because they had made a lot of progress over the last three or four weeks and certainly with Europe we think we can go hopefully very quickly.

  • They have some hot spots that are really bad but they'll get him better.

  • Germany, I guess, has some problems now.

  • France has some problems, some pretty big problems.

  • And Italy, of course, is probably record setting in terms of what they've gone through.

  • Italy is having a very hard time, but we think we'll reestablish very quickly once this ends and it's just a question of time.

  • I think it'll go pretty quickly, stay away from people and watch your hands and do over the things that was supposed to be doing a little bit anyway.

  • But it'll be.

  • It'll go very quickly.

  • I know that.

  • We're just talking that Ireland's closed their schools.

  • And, uh, maybe I'd ask the prime minister to say a little bit about what you're doing in Ireland having to do with what we're going.

  • Thank you present for having us again here today, and then I'm going up to ST Patrick's Day.

  • Um, just another opportunity, I think, to show how close Ireland in America are on how good our relationship is politically and economically and everything else.

  • And ST Patrick's Day has become, I think, a symbol of how close are learned in America are we're gonna continue to stay close into the future.

  • Um, big concern in Ireland and Europe at the moment, as you know, is Kobe 19 on?

  • We've acted just as you've acted decisively in the last couple of days.

  • So we have restrictions on travel, for example, at Italy for a few days already.

  • But as of tomorrow, our schools will close our crashes with both, Um, we're banning all indoor Gallery's off more than 100 people and for gatherings of more than 500.

  • This is all based on the health advice from our CDC that we need to do this for a couple of weeks to make sure the virus doesn't spread on were particularly trying to protect older people and people with chronic diseases.

  • We've got about 30 or 40 cases so far that we were really sir into that could rise on.

  • That's why we're taking action, the works.

  • But as you know, it's it's a virus that's gone pandemic.

  • Um, it's all over the world.

  • Those no borders knows no nationalities.

  • I think we all need to work together in the world on this American particular.

  • You're the richest country in the world.

  • You've got great scientists, great companies, great universities that we need them working on treatment's working on tests and working on a vaccine because that's that's what we get.
