Hello VoiceTube world! My name is Hugh and it’s always a pleasure hosting the Pronunciation Challenge for everyone! Let’s talk about movie theaters today! Do we need them anymore? We all went a year or two without them. How do you feel about that? For myself, I was starting to get something we native speakers refer to as, “cabin fever”, which means getting irritated by staying indoors for a long period of time. Almost to the point of going crazy. Going to the movies always felt like an event for me. I got to share those exciting moments with the audience. I screamed in horror during those scary movies and I even cried with everyone during those sad moments. In North America, there’s another way we can watch movies safely in our own space with everyone in the same area. How? I’ll tell you after the featured sentence.

It’s where there’s a big parking lot with a big movie screen in front. You tune your radio to their radio station so you can listen to the movie and then you can enjoy the show from your own car! This was always a favorite summer activity for me growing up in Canada. I went to a drive-in theater recently and watched Thor and Top Gun. Top Gun was amazing! It reminded me of action movies back in the 90’ies! You guys should definitely check it out! So how does everyone feel about movie theaters? Do we need them?
