If I say that my friend is going to show up on the big screen, it means that he is going to star in the movie. 2. _ * a number of [] (adj.) 一些 - A number of means feel or several which just means more than two but not many. For example, if I say that I have a number of businesses that I want to start or that I have a number of books that I want to read.
