  • however, one.

  • And welcome to another video now.

  • The year was 2013.

  • If PC was your chosen gaming platform, then you may have Bean, one of the many people trying to run Crisis three and finding that it was next to impossible, thanks to the incredible visuals visuals that still very much hold up even to this day.

  • You may have also been enjoying what some, including myself, called the Best Assassin's creed game in years.

  • Black Flag.

  • If you had a mid range PC to play these excellent titles on, then the are 9 to 80.

  • X may have bean among your hardware of choice, essentially an HD 79 70 replacement.

  • You knew what you were getting with a card like this.

  • After all, the 79 70 walls in 2011 I am these $549 flagship two years on in this $299 part made for an interesting proposition.

  • What I have here is the M S I G series twin frozen three gig are 9 to 80 x, which actually costs a little more than reference models.

  • At the time of its launch today, I paid 60 United Kingdom British sterling pounds, pence online and £60 dollars or euros seems to be the average price at this point in time on the used market.

  • This isn't too far different from the 79 seventies secondhand asking price.

  • Now, before we get into the performance, there is an issue I want to address with this specific card.

  • After purchasing anything, I always look at reviews of the product that were written at the time I came across an interesting tech power, a particle which detailed an overheating issue with this model M iss.

  • I did release the BIOS update, which addressed this and after checking GPU said, it seems this card does have an even newer BIOS version installed, so we should be good to go, and there's no need to flash it.

  • Spec wise.

  • We've got a three Gigi DDR five card with a 10 20 megahertz clock speed on a 1500 megahertz memory.

  • Cook a 500.

  • What P.

  • S.

  • U is recommended and you'll need 16 pin on 18 pin connector.

  • I'm using a 550.

  • What?

  • See Sonic focus plus gold.

  • A power supply I can wholeheartedly recommend for anyone looking at silent modular options.

  • I've paid the card with my rights and 7 1800 X on 16 gigs of DDR 4 32 100 megahertz memory.

  • I'm still using the 1800 X in my system as it's ideal for all my rendering needs for gaming.

  • It's still an excellent chip, too, for the benchmarks I thought we'd start with Crisis three.

  • Now, since 2013 we've seen various game updates and graphics card driver's.

  • The are 9 to 80 ex supports the latest dandy drivers at the time.

  • Off this video, which is tthe E 19.2 point three software released on the 16th off December 2019 I tested one of the earliest levels, and here you have to run around avoiding rockets while searching for something to destroy them.

  • It's quite chaotic, and I thought it would make for a great testing level.

  • Remember or in game levels will affect performance differently, but I'll talk about my experiences here with the high system setting spec preset on anti a leasing set to FX A.

  • We saw an average off 68.

  • I tried targeting 60 f ps throughout and have adjusted any settings accordingly, to try and maintain that there will be a few dips in Crisis three, but nothing significant here.

  • I mentioned it before, but this game still looks fantastic, even if you use low settings.

  • To be honest, I then play through the opening 20 minutes of Assassin's Creed black flag, just to see how these games that came out when the car did run on it.

  • Today, just to give you an idea of perspective when we move on to modern results, I can't speak for performance in busy areas like Havana.

  • But here the game was hitting 60 f p s, which is the cap, I believe, implemented by Obi Soft.

  • I think it might go up to 62 or 63 in some places.

  • So how does it handle newer games?

  • Well, let's start with a new Assassins.

  • Crude Odyssey, to be specific.

  • Here at 10 80 p low.

  • 60 f PS isn't achievable, but you'll still see around 50 with this preset.

  • It's not bad on a sleeper if you're happy with them, or do I dare say it?

  • Consul like experience at 30 FBS, Then you can turn things all the way up to high.

  • Personally, I've always been happy with 30 FBS in third person titles.

  • I guess that's the PS four game in me talking.

  • But it is all down to personal choice.

  • Rather than turn things down to 7 20 p resolution at low for a shot at what is close to 60 I'd rather make the game look as good as I can for a 30 frames per second target on this GPU.

  • As I said, though, it's all personal preference.

  • Next up, it's don't really to something about running fine, equip about my bad driving, etcetera.

  • Yeah, you get the picture.

  • It's an excellent experience, as always, that really to needs no in depth analysis.

  • It will run fine on a toaster, providing that toaster has a graphics card that was considered mid range any time within the last 10 years.

  • Velcro New Dawn also ran well.

  • I started with 10 80 p and the low proof set with a turned off, and this gave us 69 frames per second on average.

  • This is complemented with decent percentile figures.

  • There was minimal stata, not bad so far for £60 card running the benchmark again.

  • But this time seeing how high we could go and retain 60.

  • I used the normal preset and enable t a to eliminate some of those jagged edges.

  • Even then, we were seeing 61 FBS according to the endgame benchmark test.

  • Another good result.

  • Moving on to kingdom come deliverance Now when I spent some time running about in the wilderness, generally being a nuisance here, I started with the medium preset and turned off Auntie a leasing which doesn't look too bad.

  • And this meant we averaged 60.

  • Just about you can see by the 1% on 10.1% lows that there were a few drops.

  • This performance would, of course, changing busier towns or settlements, for example.

  • But most of my time is usually spent outside of these busy areas, and that is definitely where the game will be at its best frame rate wise.

  • Either way, you're going to have a nice enough time, even if you do have a 30 FBS target in mind instead.

  • Because Metro Exodus is a first person shooter, most of you, I'm sure, would prefer 60 frames per second myself included.

  • This is doable at 10.

  • 80 p low in some areas.

  • Yet other areas, sometimes of the same map, will bring this average down.

  • 55 was the average frame rates overall on the Caspian level that I tested.

  • And honestly, this was another result that did better than I thought.

  • Overall, Metro still looks good on low, but the random dips could certainly be off putting again, though.

  • Remember the price?

  • This is a car that on the used market, can cost less than that of a new GT 10 30 but will be so much better in games.

  • Here's a game you haven't seen on the benchmark list for awhile, mainly because it had a giant update that I was putting off.

  • But over the last week, I've just sat back and let everything download pub.

  • Gee, it normal.

  • With 10 80 p, resolution will hit 62 F.

  • P.

  • S.

  • On average, there will be a couple of noticeable micro freezes here and there.

  • But I tend to get this with pub Drea.

  • On most hardware, I test the game, looks good and runs well.

  • Low settings will guarantee you a more consistent 60 FBS plus, but normal retains some of that graphical quality.

  • It is all, of course, dependent on how you would prefer to play at its lowest quality, preset red dead redemption to runs.

  • Okay, it still looks great, and here we are, riding around trying to fend off some bounty hunters.

  • The frame rate stayed pretty solid, but just like Assassin's creed that we tested at the start, it may be best to target 30 F.

  • P s instead, for more solid and consistent experience, you can then turn the graphical settings up a bit if you want.

  • For example, here is how the game looks and runs on the last favor performance setting the last option before the balanced setting.

  • Choosing balanced actually sent the average below 30.

  • But these graphical settings keep it just above.

  • Finally, it's the Outer worlds.

  • Another personal favor of mine.

  • This is best played at low on the AMG are 9 to 80 x.

  • This game seems to favor in video hardware, and it really does suffer here in terms of the 1% on 10.1% lows.

  • This is a bit of a disappointing end to our results.

  • The average frame rate is okay, however, and it will even hit 60 in some towns, but turning things up means that the percentile figures suffer even more.

  • Edgewater actually gave us a far better result than wandering around outside of the town, and it really is a very mixed bag.

  • I think there are certainly some improvements still to be had within the outer worlds here, which could possibly happen.

  • Thanks to future update.

  • It's over.

  • Well, then, well, I think they are 9 to 80 X or the rebranded 79 70.

  • Whatever you want to call it, it's still a pretty decent card, especially for the money that it can be found at Bear in mind.

  • You will need 1/2 decent power supply in order to run it.

  • But any good quality 500?

  • What unit from, Let's say, be quiet.

  • See Sonic course say any of those companies should do the trick just fine.

  • If you're looking for a used GPU that isn't too expensive and should be ableto handle 10.

  • 80 p with it least 30 frames per second in almost every title out there, then it could still be a choice that you may want to consider for 60 frames per second.

  • Constantly, you're going to need something a bit beef.

  • Yeah, but you may struggle to find something that's capable of that.

  • At this price point, I do hope you've enjoyed this.

  • Look back at the R 9 to 80 ex.

  • It seems we've tested pretty much all of the R nine series.

  • Now we've done the higher end our nine Nano, the lowering stuff as well on this sort of sits right in the middle.

  • If you enjoy this video, be sure to leave a lock on it down below.

  • Leave a dislike.

  • If you didn't let me know if you have this card in your system and what games you play on it, subscribe to the channel.

  • If you haven't done so already, Have a very happy New Year on DDE.

  • I'll see you all in the next video.

  • In fact, I'll see all of you next year.
