字幕列表 影片播放 列印英文字幕 Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has annoyed both China, South Korea and the U.S. a little by making an official visit to the Yasukuni Shrine, which houses the remains of war criminals, as well as a bunch of other people who died in battle. Now, if you’re not up on your history, you should know that a lot of folks in China and Korea are still mad as hell about the nasty things the Japanese did in those countries before the end of World War II. So they see it as a slap in the face that Abe went to pay his respects to these war criminals Also, Abe visited the shine on Mao Zedong’s 120th birthday, and the Chinese don’t think that was a coincidence. However, the visit is believed to be a move by Abe to gain support from conservatives in Japan, and what’s more, China loves a reason to get mad at someone, so they can distract the masses from issues that matter. At the end of the day, it could be a win-win for both parties.
