今天來到家裡附近的Starbucks，

這次想要教大家如何在Starbucks點餐。

Can I get one tall Pike?

今天想要以輕鬆的方式來向大家解說。

OK. Do you want me to write their name on this?

首先說到（和日本的）差異。

Excuse me?

美國的星巴克菜單上可以看到Tall, Grande, Venti這三種尺寸。

Do you want me to write their name on (this)?

雖然不像日本，（美國的）菜單上沒有註明Short尺寸。

Yeah. You can just put it under Jun. J-U-N.

其實這是星巴克的隱藏版的菜單喔！

J-U-N.

美國的星巴克也是有Short尺寸的。（＊貌似各個國家都有）

Yup.

因此，如果想要點小杯的話，雖然菜單上沒有註明，

All right. What else for ya (you)?

但點餐時只要向店員說：“Can I get a short?”，就完全沒有問題！

And also a Grande Iced Coffee with sugar-free hazelnut.

其次，在日本廣為人知的滴漏式咖啡，但美國的星巴克並沒有收錄這個品項。

All right.

在這邊基本上是a Pike（派克烘焙咖啡），或是當天的Dark coffee（黑咖啡）的品項。

And can I get a splash of half and half with that?

因此進入星巴克時，要記得確認當天有的咖啡品項喔！

來這裡之前，我很多學生的煩惱是被問到名字的時候！

Two more here.

被店員問名字的時候，一定要講自己的名字。特別是複雜的日文名字的話，店員常常會寫錯。

因此點餐後，當我被問到“What is your name?“時，我會回答“My name is Jun.”

Oh shoot. I'm sorry. We don't even carry sugar free hazelnut.

或是就報上自己的名字。

Oh you don't? OK. We'll just do…

You just want regular?

這邊有一點要注意，就是要記得把名字拼出來。

Yeah just regular hazelnut is fine.

像我就一定會說Jun, J-u-n，好好拼出來給店員聽。

All right and then the other one?

如果你來到美國的星巴克的話，一定會被問名字，請記得我剛剛教你的方法喔！

接下來，我將針對點餐的方式進行說明。

當我問到學生為什麼覺得去星巴克有難度時，原因是這邊的星巴克可以做客製化的調整。

And the last one is Venti Skinny Vanilla Iced Latte with soymilk and cinnamon on top.

而且店員因為很習於點餐的話術，因此語速非常快。

因此無論是托福能拿到800分的也好，還是初學者，都很難聽清楚星巴克店員所說的話。
