The team's excavator machine gets stuck in the mud as water levels begin to rise.

If they can't free the machine, the engine will be flooded with water and destroyed within an hour.

Luckily, this nightmare scenario is avoided when Fred uses his crane to push the excavator back into its correct position,allowing the team to drive this expensive piece of machinery to safety.

However, things aren't so bright for Parker over at Big Nugget.

His team has struggled to locate gold, though they recently came across a new area to mine, which has resulted in a few excellent discoveries.

Unfortunately, the land is in a difficult spot, and Parker almost drives the transport truck off a cliff while trying to navigate the narrow roads.

In the end, he decides it isn't worth risking lives, and the team is forced to prospect for new locations to mine.

Meanwhile, tensions are rising at Indian Creek.

Todd wants to expand the scope of their operations to meet their target.

Dave, however, feels this risky move would spread their staff too thin.

Against Dave's wishes, Todd starts the new project.

The very first night he overloads the washing bin and washes some of their gold away.

Dave is furious when he learns what happened but his mood improves when he learns that the team made a massive profit for the week.
