To get to the national gallery by metro

take the metro yellow green line and exit at

archives navy memorial station then walk

across the street to the national

gallery

you can also take the DC circulator bus if

you're around the national mall area. it

will save you a lot of walking

admission to the gallery of free

The gallery is open from monday through

saturday and 10a.m.. to 5 p.m. and sunday

from 11 a.m. to 6p.m.

at the national gallery you can explore works of

art from the Renaissance to the present day with a

self-guided or docent led tour

self-guided tours are offered in

audio-video or print guide. check with the

information desk

and look at the information desk for

free docent-led for that highlight some

of the galleries permanent collection.

In addition to viewing beautiful works of

art, visitors can ice skate in the

sculpture garden in winter, visit the large

museum shop, or eat in one of its many

cafes.

remember the famous movie which featured

these cherubs singing? it was the night the

museum. battle of the Smithsonian. The museum

also offers quiet places to rest at each

end of the gallery on the main floor.

it also offers free public Wi-Fi. the

gallery would take you at least two or

more hours depending on your interest

you can also combine with the National

Archives, national history museum, museum

of air and space, and the Smithsonian castle.

other attraction on the north side of the

national mall.
