For those of you who don't know, Taiwan does not play when it comes to food.

先解釋給那些不知道的人聽，臺灣對於吃這件事情可沒在開玩笑。

So, I thought it would be fun to invite some of my friends who've never had it before and see what they think of it.

所以我覺得邀請從未吃過台灣食物的朋友來試吃，並聽聽看他們的感想應該會滿有趣的！

I don't think I've ever had Taiwanese food.

我想我從來沒吃過臺灣料理。

I've had Chinese food.

我是吃過中國菜啦。

Probably had it once without knowing it.

可能在不知情的狀況下吃過。

It's like bubble gum.

喝起來像泡泡糖。

Bubble gum, some apple juice.

泡泡糖，還有一點蘋果汁。

Yeah, a little bit like a cream soda?

嗯，有點像是冰淇淋汽水？

看起來有點像韓式煎餅。

It's very buttery.

There's oil in between every layer of this.

Yeah, there's like flaky layers.

I feel uncomfortable watching you peel it open.

看你把它撕開讓我不太舒服。

It reminds me a lot of latkes.

它讓我想到薯餅。

Every culture has something like a tortilla.

每種文化都有一個類似玉米餅的食物。

This definitely tastes Asian as f*ck, so...

不過這吃起來超級亞洲味。

Is that garlic?

那是大蒜嗎？

Is it just straight up cloves of garlic?

這真的是一片蒜瓣嗎？

It doesn't have, like, the spice taste that a lot of sausages have.

它沒有很多香腸都有的辣味。

Huh?

You don't like it?

你不喜歡嗎？

No, no, it's not that I don't like it, I just haven't tasted this before.

不是啦，不是不喜歡，我只是從來沒吃過這種食物。

It's kind of sweet.

它有點甜。

But it's like a good sweet.

不過是好吃的那種甜。

I don't get it, because sausage is ground up.

我不太懂，因為香腸裡面通常都是碎肉。

But this doesn't look ground up; it looks like it was ham.

但這沒有完全絞碎，看起來有點像火腿。

I love the garlic with it.

我喜歡搭配蒜頭一起吃。

I'm not mad at this.

這我不太喜歡。

The garlic is strong.

蒜味很重。

I love garlic, but it's a decision to eat straight garlic.

我很愛蒜頭，但是生吃大蒜需要下很大的決心。

Yeah, I'll eat that.

這個我可以。

Oh, my God, noodles.

天啊，麵條！

It smells so good.

好香啊！

This is bok choy?

這是青江菜嗎？

Funny because when I eat that kind of food, I never eat the cabbage.

有趣的是，當我在吃這種食物時，我從來不會吃菜。

Refreshing and naturey.

This is definitely, like, a lighter dish you would have.

It's not too salty and it's not too sweet.

不會太鹹但也不會太甜。

It's good, you know, it's beef noodle soup.

很好吃，就是牛肉湯。

The thing with pho is that the beef gets overcooked.

吃越南河粉的時候，牛肉常會煮得太老。

Yeah, I gotta take you to better places, then.

我下次得帶妳去好吃一點的餐廳了。

Oh my gosh.

我的天啊。

This is like Bulgogi.

有點像韓式烤肉。

Yeah, I was about to say, this looks kinda like Bulgogi.

這正是我要說的，它看起來有點像韓式烤肉。

Taiwanese food is really similar to Korean food.

臺灣料理跟韓國料理滿類似的。

Oh, my gosh.

我的媽呀！

I love dishes that have multiple animals in them.

我喜歡混合各種不同動物的食物。

It almost melts in your mouth 'cause it's so... it's just so soft.

這根本入口即化，因為煮得很軟嫩。

As a kid, I always ate rice and I always hated eating rice 'cause then I'd always have to like, mix it with the meat and stuff like this, but this is like, drenched in like it's own sauce.

我小時候常常吃飯，但我不喜歡吃飯所以一定要配像肉之類的東西一起吃，但這個飯跟肉汁融為一體！

Yaaaas, all the way.

這一切棒透啦！

There weren't like a million ingredients in each thing, there were like three to five ingredients in every dish, but they work very well together.

每種料理都不是很複雜，都用大概3到5種食材而已，但都搭配得天衣無縫。

Just like a few ingredients, all happily chillin' together in your mouth.

感覺像是這些食材快樂地徜徉在你嘴巴裡。
