all the errors story of a guy who %uh goes around the country %um %um

%uh a fiery

%uh hired George clooney %uh hired %uh

%uh by other companies to lay off

significant numbers of people

%um

and he works for a big firm and they go around the country late people off and

sort of he has developed a lifestyle in the process of doing that

%uh that has enabled him to sort of be cut off from sort of intimate human

contact sort of that tallies able maybe

to to give people this horrible life changing

%uh news that they get

at and so %uh in the end he's the star of it and that he had any meets the ear

for me go along the way they develop a little relationship and it's in human

contact with him

%uh and against that backdrop is for changes going on in his company

I I can't replace the young executives for who wants to make that process of

firing people

even more horrible and distant promote than it already is by doing it on the

lines he would even that nobody would even tell your face the been fired

you sit in front of a computer largely well

that's the story the movie and his sort of

emotional development is that

all right of how bout with someone that of would you

you know actually this movie really kind of threw me I was really enjoying it

for the most part and to sum it up really of laughs

twenty minutes or so it

kind of fell apart from it

%uh you know I

personal feeling is that for the most part

this stuff that

all have to the airport was the sharpest strongest up for the vote

and and carlos is traveling to dallas colleagues any law that was sort of the

leaks that it's in

how you get through that to the security line rightly and

how you get your coffee and keep your that I I hit that all the travel right

and as a study inefficiency insular and really sharp issues training

and kendrick here's what you do things that

the profiling is twenty-fold certain people through security

was really sharp and really funny

but I felt like the emotional stuff

you know as far as him dealing with relationships of learning to cut it

the of real personal got a weak and then the and we know that totally for me for

this loop

you know days later I'm still not really sure how I feel about

I think that I mean my mandate of blake

you know that it one of the national board of review of esprit for the year

so that there are getting us because there are a number of critics of the

who've already to put it as that their top movie of the year at least so far

while the so I'm curious what you thought of and did you did you like it

love it was or wasn't planted evidence or by then

well the ending is a surprise is certainly not really the the ending you

see coming I I will say that it's taken me a couple of days later

I would overall say that wasn't a good thing that that it wasn't unexpected but

I I understand it and it took a different

well that's what you know and on the third level I wonder with the that I

felt it without giving too much away

I find the ending to be

on a certain level extremely tragic

there might be kissed me a motion we rejecting that

the way his character and up

in my interpretation of that that that's what I have a problem

well that that you know that's interesting because all right

%uh I like the ending

but in terms of what happened an ID techs again thrown for a loop I thought

that's what was going on

again at with stabbing what you're going to live to the event America a new

global trade group or of work that a you bruce willis was dead the effort by a so

I I saw coming by

I felt like he didn't quite and the movie so it I have a different problem

with and the like

it just kind of let the day like up

the case there was no panic include lot of big fan of that I'm a big fan of that

kind of ending I'm a big fan of the and sopranos of a penetrating cheers to

valleys of major series that recent criticism

again we ought to give the ending a leading control of direction so I don't

think I I don't think we are but it is surprising and it is

a little bit

there's no definitive stamp on it

there's certainly no definitive stamp on what you're left with is wondering

what's going to happen to George clooney character outright bingham

the next day

rick only a brief recap like of white house they have attacked should

recognize that that isn't it well and I think that part of my

issues here is that I thought like with the way the of egos and and

the tone of kind of the third activity

if you've been watching a lot of the promotional material for this and seeing

the trailers

I feel like to give a much different sense of the way the movies could have

done

if you go in thinking this is going to be kind of the light

fraught the holiday movie

that's not what this is well you know I I don't want to get too too much on to

that point but it's such a good one that I I have to mention I just saw moving

today that were not reveal called everybody's on

with the Robert deniro advocate that analyst and rockwell drew barrymore

it appears to be

based on the posters in everything the sort of guy is others on his own and

he's

if kids don't come home for the holidays so he sets out to do it

and I think this is going to be a holiday family coming together movie

I've got it and

so that and it's really misrepresented those trailers and I think that's a

little bit from here

they've been doing that a lot of I mentioned it on at the movies when I was

doing that for for a good part of the year

a lot of movies

the trailers clearly designed to get people into theaters and they don't care

at all the going to deliver a totally different movie that what you expect

from the for now

I think that all be don't get us wrong it was one movie it all right

at least two thirds of writing almost all of it was a fun movie it was great

writing

you know I was clever I laughed I enjoyed it

my problems opposite by I thought that the time I'm really enjoying this movie

but only Cuba's he didn't say a word

I I thought like that okay I enjoy that movie but that's not going to make my

top hundred Islamic but up to a good

this is going to get

solid movie well that's the other thing is I feel like you know with all the

buzz was happy about it

really this is kind of just the kind of small personal story about one guy

right but it's not

it's not a at bay it's not the most important movie the year

the followed fail

but I think a lot of people are expecting old this movie the a much

bigger

more importantly that really rights icon automatic your expectations is it you're

not going to a movie the things that really the greatest thing on earth at

the end and it turns out it's just nice movie that because

i'd look ID

I'm shocked that they considered for an oscar and I like it but I'm shocked that

no idea about what the actual

well I don't know if they were that compound that is a small story house at

their is a bigger picture to it and especially right now light of the

economic situations where

situation where he works a George clooney care to work for this big

company

at what level of paraphrase but his boss situation they've been

you know says %uh you know it we're looking at massive layoffs in detroit

the recession is skyrocketing the the end of the day by is fall apart the

dollar's worth nothing

this is going to be a great time for us

it is because people are going to get

well I and it's awesome

there we see that

as we've seen that in this sort of times of massive economic stress of hardship

is incredibly profitable some people an incredible sort of %uh inouye has been

an incredible with for some people another great thing they did in this

movie

the fact of that matter as

to what may be my top we demand working now and and maybe my house cleaning lady

working

I mean I haven't seen her for being a movie and just go

I don't care what it is on that strong so I think it is actually

and everything that

she never an issue got a late-breaking life sort of with the departing chief

worked before that I was a big breakthrough role for Martin scorsese

given that part

and kendrick

up plays the young executive who wants to fire everybody over the internet over

to one line

no I did like new moon or twilight she plays the friend in twilight

%uh %uh %uh kristin storage friend

I thought she stole twilight

I've said it in my review of of that camera she is she's great and I think

she's great again here so I think three performances elevated

I was about to hear

I would think not

larry can think of movies that are better

but I think it's a top-notch autopsy we're going up because with with acting

performances

I mean yeah the reform yet is fantastic and the parties really well written for

really well and eric cantor part is

great and she really really skills without accreditation reitman wrote it

%uh with %uh killed her a democrat

okay right and and Clinton tested this is a really good role for him

you know unlike a lot of times where we can see him being like the fleet one

answer

one of the nice things about this is in this film you actually kind of fee

him play a character that falls for someone

and you do go on that journey with him any really dragged along which

is one of the more engaging things I think happens to this fellow all right

so for the first time were actually rate of war

I mean the lady is a very simple rating out of ten

any number out of ten any

ll fraction of what everyone out of ten

and that like my sense of light

it for me and eight is like okay that's a kick ass movie you gotta go see it in

the theater right

up but it's six is movie I would go to see defeated fellow straight so on that

scale

seven and a half

so I really liked it

but it didn't

like go over the thing about all you gotta go see this movie so I pose seven

we would high you know I

kind of there with you I think it's a really solid so I think it's something

people from the

the they were doing numbers are going to go
