We were filming and exhibiting at Cyber Security Conference called GISEC See, I'm actually working. In our spare time, we've had a lot of time to check out this amazing city. So, in this video, we check out the Dubai mall, the fountains, the Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest building in the world. We go to the old town dubai museum, we go to the mosque. Right now, we're outside of the Atlantis, out on the Palms Island. That suite right there, $20,000 a night. This city is crazy. So, thank you so much for watching. Make sure you subscribe to the YouTube channel. Also, check out the blog, AMae.tv. I'm going to be blogging extensively about my experiences here in Dubai. Oh, and if you want to watch another video about Dubai, I'm making a whole second video just about shopping and fashion in this fabulous city. So, we begin our journey in Jumeirah which is basically the south beach of Dubai. You've got your top dollar hotels, along with pristine beaches and lots of excited tourists. They don't even know who I am, they just think I'm somebody. Are you sweating? Yes, I'm sweating. It is the sweatiest city in the world. And the irony of it all is that it's hot, but yet they recommend that women cover their shoulders to their knees, which I've been doing most of the time. But, right now, we're at the beach, and it's just like the less you wear at the beach, the more appropriate you somehow are. This is fabulous, I feel like I'm in Miami right now, except hotter. And, even richer. Miami looks like a poor town compared to this. So, on this trip, I was stoked to have my amazing SecureNinjaTV producer and good friend, John Miller here to film. He's a pro. Check out his channel, West of Everest. Here's me just trying to hold up his camera. And, right now, I'm at the #[0:01:48.8] beach, and right behind me is the #[0:01:51.0] which is the only 7 star hotel in the world. Rooms there start at about $3000 a night. Welcome to the bus stop. Luxury accommodations here at the bus stop. #[0:02:12.0] They probably do this just so that people won't die on the streets. But, #[0:02:20.7] we didn't even need the bus, because we were on a guided tour of Dubai with a fantastic tour company and driver. I will link to their company in the description and on the blog. Okay, we're going to go in and check out the #[0:02:33.9] mosque. It's a copy of the blue mosque in Istanbul. Which, I've actually been to, but I wasn't filming back then. And, I'm covering my head because it shows respect to Islam, when you cover your head and cover everything when you go into a place of religion. So, let's go see what it looks like. #[0:02:58.3] I was wrong. I need to cover more than my head. So, I'm going to put on the #[0:03:05.3] which they so graciously provide. The head cover is called the #[0:03:13.0] I think it's lovely. And while we put a bunch of extra clothes on, we actually had to take our shoes off. Kind of like at the airport, but for different reasons. So pretty. Blue mosque is much more full of people. It's nice to see the same kind of designs in this mosque. Welcome to Dubai. Our next stop is to Oldtown, the oldest standing building in Dubai. A fort built in 1787, and it is now home to the Dubai Museum. I actually cared how my hair looked this morning, and now I'm just sweating to death. #[0:04:13.7] time. So, it's like a fort. A fort from back in the day. Man: Or Fort Lauderdale. Or, Fort Lauderdale. So, this is their house. Look at that. The bathroom. I guess you just pee in the sand. This is how they lived in Dubai in the 1800s. It's hot! It's the kitchen. It has sticks, pots- This area features #[0:04:51.0] ever. Great décor for any home. Man: The spitting makes it even more creepy. This museum keeps getting crazier and crazier. Wow. It kind of feels like a haunted house, but it's really just a museum. It's underground, though, so it's very scary. And, I'm getting excited to meet my real life camel later! Now, we're outside of the royal palace, where Sheik Muhammad Al #[0:05:17.4] lives. Peacocks! Peacocks outside of the royal palace. #[0:05:27.3] They don't love me. I like it. Oh my gosh. Isn't he pretty? Hey, birdy. #[0:05:51.3] He says it better than me. So now, I'm outside of the #[0:05:59.7] which is the tallest building in the world. It's construction was completed in 2010, making it the tallest building in the world. The reason they built it was for Dubai tourism, of course. Just another way to make Dubai look awesome. And, it was Sheik #[06:13.2] who wanted to get it built. You can go to the top, but we're not going to the top, because we don't have the time. Whoa. The Dubai Fountains, designed after Belagio Fountains in Las Vegas, yet twice as big. Man: Go for it. Thank you so much for joining me on this excited adventure in Dubai. Make sure you subscribe to AMaeTV so you don't miss any of the travel videos I'm shooting. Next up, just might be Singapore. Who knows. Also, follow my Instagram @amaetv. Follow my Twitter @aliciamaewebb. Thanks for watching! Man: I'm rolling. You have, for your subscribe box, if you want to draw it out with your hand or point. Yeah. Is that good? Man: Uh, I'd say bring your hand in that way. Yeah. Point that way. There you go. Right there? Man: I'd go up a little bit. Yeah. Caption by GetTranscribed.com
