Today I will show how i make connection between Bluetooth module and APM Or Pixhawk. for short range Telemetry(Data Link) Before that, we need the following item. DF13 5 pin header with cable For APM or 6 pin for Pixhawk to 4 way female pin. for Bluetooth module connectivity. and of course we need a Bluetooth Module you can buy it online or from your local shop. and make sure Bluetooth baudrate already change to 57600 Normally default bluetooth baudrate is 9600. you can google, how to switch the baudrate setting for bluetooth module using FTDI cable or you can buy direct from 3DR Store I've put a link in description ok! lets begin here i have APM 2.6 board that already upgrade to 2.8 as we can see at this board at telemetry has 5 pin we just need pin VCC TX RX and Ground this pin is not using here the picture of connectivity Ok now I will make a connection using the android. First began, we need to power up APM board this time I use ubec 5v to power up APM dagadagadagadgagad hahahah now apm already have power you will see the Bluetooth module flashes indicating bluetooth function but have not connected Now let's setting on android agora <--- (youtube detect i said this word) heheh go to bluetooth setting make sure bluetooth is on. Search for bluetooth device i already rename the module with 'multicopter' click on the name put in bluetooth pin number Default pin number is 1234 now bluetooth already paired now go to Tower (droid Planner ) go to setting go to connection type choose bluetooth go to advance setting connection preference make sure bluetooth speed is 57600 back go to flight Data click connect no you can see all the paired bluetooth device click the bluetooth module name that already paired multicopter [connected] no connected now you can see blinking led change to solid This indicates a connection is successful bla bla bla we can check the connection at the status by moving APM board Now we will create a waypoint using the survey area, for testing i make small area only. i change altitude to 40 meter. and save way-point to drone. [Waypoint save to drone] this connection only using bluetooth as a data link and now we are going to take off go to flight data and Arm. [Pixhawk arming sound] [ARM WAYPOINT RECEIVE] [MODE AUTO] no we gonna test bluetooth connection arm [ARM WAYPOINT RECEIVE] now take off [MODE GUIDED] now change mode to follow [FOLLOWING] descending altitude quad to five meter ok now , we change the diameter to 2 meter mode follow Lease now quad are behind me let's walk aroud [BATTERY AT 70 PERCENT] quad will follow every where i go and if you have gimbal we can point camera to followed subject i only bring my tablet along, i left my radio at the take off area [LOW BATTERY, BATTERY FAILSAFE] OMG! run for your quad. hahah to those who want to have an experience using bluetooth module as telemetry data link here i'm using pixhawk you can try it yourself there are various functions that you can try bla bla bla in Droid planner ok may we meet again, thank you Peace upon you. and bye bye.
