Well, in today's lesson, we are going to look at types of tea. 大家好,我是Niharika,歡迎回來,在今天的課程裡,我們要介紹各個種類的茶。 So, what comes to your mind when you think or talk about tea, well, the aroma, the taste, tradition, or social gathering? 當你想到或講到茶,你腦海中會出現什麼呢,香氣、口味、傳統或是社交集會? Well, all these beautiful elements are associated with the wonderful beverage called Tea. 這些美好的元素都跟這個稱作茶的奇妙飲料有關。 So, in today's lesson we are gonna look at the different types of tea, in fact, the most popular ones in the world 所以,在今天的課程我們要來看看各種不同的茶,事實上,也是世界上最受歡迎的, because many people have no clue how to serve different types of tea or how a type of tea should be taken. 因為許多人不知道如何泡不同種類的茶,或是某一種茶該怎麼喝。 So, that's what you are gonna learn, and let's get started. 所以,這就是你正要學的,讓我們開始吧。 The first one is English Breakfast. 首先是英國早餐茶。 Well, English Breakfast is one of the most common type of tea that you would find in the world. 英國早餐茶是世界上最常見的茶之一。 Well, it was initially just called as Breakfast Tea and it was developed by the tea master. 原本只稱作早餐茶,並由一位茶葉專家發揚光大。 He was, in fact, a Scottish tea master, his name was Drysdale. 他其實是一位蘇格蘭茶葉專家,名字是Drysdale。 So, Drysdale was the one who developed this type of tea, and, in fact, it is a blend of fine black teas including the Keemun Tea. 所以說,Drysdale將這種茶發揚光大,實際上他還混合了良好的紅茶,包括祁門紅茶。 So, why the name English Breakfast? 那麼,為何叫英國早餐茶呢? Well, eventually this type of tea was extremely popular in England, 這種茶最終在英國變得非常受歡迎, so the London, you know, tea shops or the tea stores renamed it to English Breakfast 所以倫敦茶商將它重新命名為英國早餐茶 because it is said that the aroma of this tea is very similar to a fresh hot toast from the oven. 因為據說這種茶的香味很像剛從烤箱裡出來的土司。 So, well, maybe that's exactly the reason why it is named as English Breakfast Tea. 所以,或許這就是它被取名為英國早餐茶的原因。 And how this tea should be served? Well, it should be served with milk or lemon. 那麼這種茶要怎麼喝呢?要加牛奶或是檸檬。 But please do not mix lemon and milk together because that would curdle the milk, right? 但請不要檸檬和牛奶一起加,因為那會使牛奶凝結,對吧? So, either it can be served with milk or with lemon, okay? 它可以連同牛奶或者檸檬一起享用,可以嗎? Now let's have a look at the second one, Irish Breakfast. Well, surprisingly, Irish are great tea drinkers. 現在我們再來看看第二個,愛爾蘭早餐茶。令人驚訝地是愛爾蘭人很會喝茶。 Well, I learned it when I was looking for the information about tea. I didn't know that. 當我在找茶葉的資料時學到的。之前我還不知道呢。 So, Irish people are great tea drinkers and they brew their tea very strong. 愛爾蘭人很會喝茶,而且他們會把茶泡很濃。 So, the flavor of Irish Breakfast Tea is extremely robust, and because of its strong taste, people tend to add sugar, and, of course, it's taken with milk. 所以愛爾蘭早餐茶的味道是非常濃郁的,因為它強烈的口味,人們傾向於加糖,當然還有牛奶。 But never with cream; cream is for coffee, okay? 但絕不加奶油;奶油是配咖啡的,懂吧? So, you add milk and sugar to this type of tea. 所以,這種茶你要加牛奶和糖。 In fact, you know there's a saying among the Irish people 事實上,愛爾蘭人有句諺語 that "A perfect cup of tea should be as strong to drop a mouse from it." 「一杯完美的茶應該要濃郁到醉倒一隻老鼠。」 Pretty interesting, right? 很有趣,對吧? So, that's a famous saying, so, yes, the aroma of Irish Breakfast Tea is extremely robust and strong. Okay? 那是一個有名的諺語,所以,對,愛爾蘭早餐茶非常濃郁且強烈的。可以嗎? The next one, Earl Grey. 下一個,伯爵茶。 Well, that's one of my favorites. 這是其中一個我最喜歡的。 Well, Earl Grey Tea...well, there was this man named Earl Grey, 伯爵茶的部分...有一位葛雷伯爵, who was also a Prime Minister years ago under William IV. 他也在威廉四世時擔任了幾年的首相。 Well, of course, this type of tea is named after him. 當然,這種茶正是以他命名的。 The reason because it's believed that a Chinese Mandarin offered a blend of black tea in order to influence trade relations. 因為據說中國清朝人為了促進貿易關係送給伯爵一種混合紅茶。 So, that's a possibility that why this type of tea was named as Earl Grey. 這可能就是這種茶被取名為Earl Grey的原因了。 So, in fact, it is a mix of black tea, it's the blend of black tea and bergamot oil. 事實上,這是一種混合的紅茶,紅茶混合了佛手柑油。 And it's served plain, without sugar, without milk, without cream; it's just served plain. 而且喝的時候不加其他東西,不用加糖、牛奶和奶油;就是泡完直接飲用。 Okay, that's Earl Grey for you. 好了,這就是伯爵茶的介紹。 And the next one that we have is the Darjeeling Tea. 下一個是大吉嶺茶。 Well, Darjeeling Tea is grown in the mountain areas of India. 大吉嶺茶葉生長於印度山區以及高海拔地區。 And the high altitude, the mountain altitude, and the misty, the very gentle misty rains are perfect combination to grow this unique flavor, or a light-flavored tea. 高緯度、山的高度、霧氣和淡淡霧氣覆蓋的雨量,是種植這種味道獨特或是風味清淡的茶的完美結合。 So, Darjeeling Tea is extremely light-flavored. 所以大吉嶺茶的風味非常淡雅。 And, in fact, even this tea is to be taken without milk, there are a few people who like Darjeeling tea to be served with a dash of lemon. 而且這個茶不用加牛奶,有一些人喜歡喝大吉嶺茶加上一點檸檬汁。 But without lemon, without milk, this tea is just perfect because it has a unique aroma that people love it. 但不用檸檬和牛奶,這茶就已經很完美了,因為它有種人們都喜歡的獨特香氣。 So, that's Darjeeling tea for you. 好,介紹完大吉嶺茶了。 Another type is Oolong Tea. 另一種就是烏龍茶。 Well, Oolong tea belongs to China. 烏龍茶源自於中國。 It was grown in China but now it's very much grown in Taiwan, and it's called as Elegant Tea. 生長於中國,但現在也有很多生長於台灣,也被稱為東方美人茶。 In fact, it has another name to it as well. 事實上它還有其他的名稱。 It's also known as Champagne of teas. 也就是茶界中的香檳。 So, again, Oolong tea has this amazing aroma; it's across between black tea and the green tea, and it has a very unique aroma to it. 所以,再說一次,烏龍茶也有很棒的香味;它的獨特香味介於紅茶和綠茶之間。 In fact, the tea leaves are fermented. 事實上,它的茶葉是經過發酵的。 They are fermented to achieve this delicious fruity aroma or delicious fruity taste to it. 讓它發酵到散發出美味的果香,或是水果的口味。 So, if you haven't tried Oolong tea then you should because it's different and it's just amazing. 所以,如果你還沒喝過烏龍茶,那你應該要試試,因為它很特別而且令人驚歎。 And, the next one, Green Tea. 下一個是綠茶。 Well, I am gonna explain Green Tea and White Tea together because they are pretty similar to each other. 我要一起解釋綠茶和白茶因為他們非常相似。 Both the tea are made out of Camellia sinensis plant, okay, which is famously known as the tea plant. 它們都是蠻有名的茶樹種發酵製成的,懂嗎,就是常聽到的茶樹。 And they are very lightly processed so that the leaves of this type of tea, they are made out of Camellia sinensis plant. 而且這種茶葉製程較短,他們是茶樹發酵製成的。 They are very lightly processed to prevent oxidation, and they are lightest and the purest form of the teas. 它們製程較短是為了防止氧化,是最輕微和最純粹的茶種。 And, in fact, has extremely wonderful health benefits. 而且,事實上,他們其實還非常有益身體健康。 So, if, in case you are very concerned about your health, you wanna be fit, you want glowing skin, then Green Tea and White Tea are just perfect. And then the last one that we have for you is Masala Chai. 再來最後一個要介紹給你的是香料茶。 It's also called as Indian Tea with spices, and it is prepared by boiling water, milk, and the tea, of course. 也稱作印度香料茶,要準備滾水、牛奶,當然還有茶。 It's either in the form of tea bags or tea powder, and a lot of spices are added while boiling this, cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, and even ginger. 這也可以變成茶包和茶粉,並和香料煮沸,像是小豆蔻、肉桂、胡椒和薑。 So, all these spices are added in order to make the Masala chai. 這些香料的添加都是為了製成香料茶。 It's delicious; it has a very different aroma, a very Indian aroma to it, and also has a lot of health benefits. 這很美味;而且有一種非常不一樣的香味,非常印度的香味,也有益身體健康。 So, if you are suffering from high cholesterol or if you have bad sore throat, then this chai is perfect. Okay? 所以,如果你有高膽固醇,或是嚴重的喉嚨痛,那麼這種茶就是首選。可以嗎? So, it's either called as Masala Chai or it's called as Masala Tea or Tea with Indian spices. Okay? 這也稱作Masala Chai、Masala Tea,或是印度香料茶。可以嗎?
