I'm wasting my life. This is what I should be doing. If I had known all these years of my life, I would have filmed every meal. That's the American dream, honestly. And to see that South Korea's doing it before us is a travesty. I already do candy-eating videos on my channel, but not to that extent. If these people can do it, I could level it up as well. I shouldn't be surprised, 'cause look at us. We found success playing video games and people watching us play video games. I don't really get it. Actually, no. Not really get it. I don't get it. I get it. I get it. 'Cause you would watch? I would watch. (laughs) For what purpose? What? It's really satisfying to be eating while watching other people eat. Do you know what that is? It's like weird videos of people tapping. (Finebros) Why do you think people enjoy it? (laughing uncontrollably) I don't know. I honestly think it could only be either sexual or just really relaxing. Every time I sit down and eating something, I think, "I have to Snapchat this." So I think that might be, I mean... People watch us playing video games because they don't have the game, right? So it's like, it's living vicariously through another person. I mean, why do you watch the Food Network? You watch it to look at the delicious food. The way that they're commenting on the food, describing the food, they must be good. Like a gamer, you can't just be playing games. You have to be able to talk about it while you have to be fun to listen to. You have to be funny. (Finebros) Here's some reason people have said this works. Some say it's a feeling that, when you are on a diet and you really wish you could eat this food, you watch someone else eat it instead. Sounds like torture. Yeah, I feel like that would make me want to eat more. Oh, like, just living vicariously. I honestly, I get it. Here I am on my diet, and I appreciate you eating that noodle dish, but am I really gonna pay money to send you a balloon to thank you for eating that dish so that I could voyeuristically enjoy that food? No. No. (Finebros) The other interesting reason is, in South Korea, a rising demographic are adults who live alone and the element of not wanting to eat dinner by yourself. Oh no! (Finebros) And watching this while they eat feels like they're not having dinner by themselves. Oh, okay. That's sad. That is beautiful. The internet-- bringing people together.
