JACOB SOBOROFF: Hey, it's Jacob.
Every day we bring you guys the best videos around.
And today, we got Music Monday with Paul Dateh.
[MUSIC - MAT ZO & PORTER ROBINSON, "EASY"]
Michell Phan's EDC guide and Ben Stiller's urgent message.
-Help!
[THEME MUSIC]
-Hey, I'm celebrity bigwig Ben Stiller.
And I want to take a second to talk to you about one
of my favorite shows, "Next Time Online."
-Good.
Good.
-I'm going to executive produce it with my bags of money.
JACOB SOBOROFF: Thanks to this hostage crisis,
season two of "Next Time On Lonny" has arrived.
If you're not familiar with the show,
"Lonny" is a dark comedy about a reality show star
where each episode starts off pretty OK
but then goes off the deep end quickly.
Season two picks up with Lonny moving out to LA
and getting into even more insane trouble,
with cameos by Haley Joel Osment, Adam Scott, and Patton
Oswalt.
-Next time on an all new "Lonny"--
-Far away from the sinners and gentiles.
-What are we going do?
You're the voice of a generation, Lonny.
-I would like this over.
Lonny is dead.
-I've lost everything.
-Let's go!
JACOB SOBOROFF: Go catch up now before they
release the next batch of new episodes.
PAUL DATEH: Get your tank tops, your flower head bands,
your beaded bracelets, your fur boots, your glow
wristbands ready, because the world's largest
electronic dance music festival is happening
in Vegas this coming weekend.
To make sure you're ready for Electric Daisy Carnival,
our Music Monday playlist is full of music videos that
will get you acquainted with artists from this year's
incredible lineup.
The playlist starts off with this anime-inspired music video
from Mat Zo, created by UK animators Louis & McCourt.
[MUSIC - MAT ZO & PORTER ROBINSON, "EASY"]
This track is actually a collaboration
with Porter Robinson who played at last year's EDC.
The rest of the playlist has more dope tracks
from EDC artists like Chromeo, Martin Garrix,
and YouTube's very own Madeon.
Today's playlist is available right here,
linked in the description.
And it'll pop up again after the show.
CARLY: If you're lucky enough to actually attend the Electric
Daisy Carnival, you are going to have a blast unless your makeup
is not on point, in which case you are going
to get mocked by a teenager in a kandi mask.
But have no fear, Michelle Phan just released this tutorial
on how to create the perfect summer festival look.
-Apply a shimmering lavender color
along the crease of your eye and blend away.
Use a vibrant blue or teal color to line the top and bottom lash
line.
Keep your lip color natural, because this look
is all about your eyes.
There's no look too bold or too simple
that's not worth your self expression.
CARLY: We want to know.
What would you wear to EDC?
Post a link to your favorite fashion inspiration,
and it could be featured in an upcoming special.
JACOB SOBOROFF: Since launching our channel back
in January as the first daily web series in ultra HD 4K
resolution, we have got a ton of comments from you guys
almost daily, like this.
It's all thanks to Red Digital Cinema.
Today, the company launched their shot
on Red Channel, which features stunning 4K videos
like this gorgeous short that won their 2013 film festival.
[BACKGROUND MUSIC]
Anybody that makes a 4K video can
submit it to be featured on their channel.
And if you want to know more about the technology,
it is really cool.
There's a link in the description
to a blog post from our post supervisor, Peter.
And you can let me know what you think about my ultra HD 4K
resolution nose hairs in the comments.
AUSTIN NULL: Hey, YouTube Nation.
Austin Null here, The Nive Nulls on YouTube
where I make videos with my hot wife and cute kids.
Now I have two kids, both of them
have been born on the Internet.
[BACKGROUND MUSIC]
Eww, right?
No.
It's awesome to be able to think that we can look back and find
all these different events in our lives and our kids' lives
as well.
[BACKGROUND MUSIC]
It's one of my favorite things about YouTube,
being able to make memories and look back on them
and have something for our kids to even look at one day.
CAMPBELL: Hey, YouTube Nation.
My name is Campbell.
I just rediscovered this Kylie Minogue music video directed
by Michel Gondry, and it made my brain trip.
I suggest you watch it.
[MUSIC - KYLIE MINOGUE, "COME INTO MY WORLD"]
JACOB SOBOROFF: Thanks, Campbell.
Kylie just released a new album.
And if you're up for more mind-bending Michel Gondry,
his new film "Mood Indigo" hits US theaters this summer.
Remember, Paul Dateh's Music Monday playlist is coming up.
And if you've got a genre or an artist you want Paul to cover,
leave a note in the comments with the hashtag #MusicMonday.
Now play us out, Pujol.
[MUSIC - PUJOL, "CIRCLES"]
