The thing is, I don't even think most people are overthinking it.

It really doesn't take much to make it all fall apart, and that's why they're scared. But we're not really overthinking it.

Analyzing it in a way that they're not willing to, because they understand that if they analyze it too much, their faith might crack, and then everything about what they know might crack.

Their entire perception of reality might fall apart. They might realize that everything they've ever known to be true about themselves, about the world around them, about people, about God, about the afterlife, all of that could be a lie.

And that's scary.
