Now have you ever tried learning English through watching movies or even TV series?

現在你有沒有嘗試過通過看電影甚至電視影集來學習英語？

Well, the great thing about learning English is there's so many different ways to learn.

好吧，學習英語的好處就是有這麼多不同的學習方法。

Andi, you may not have thought about this, but it's a really great way to learn.

安迪，你可能沒有想過這個問題，但這是一個非常好的學習方式。

So bear with me and I'm going to explain to you how you can learn English through watching things.

所以，請耐心等待，我將為你講解如何通過看東西來學習英語。

First of all, what I want you to do is think about a movie which you've watched before.

首先，我想讓你做的是思考一部你曾經看過的電影。

Maybe you've watched it in your own language.

也許你已經用自己的語言看了。

It might be an English movie which is being dubbed or with your country's subtitles on it.

這可能是一部正在配音的英文電影，或者上面有你們國家的字幕。

Now, if you've really enjoyed this movie, then maybe it's about time that you tried watching it.

現在，如果你真的很喜歡這部電影，那麼也許是時候嘗試著去看它了。

But with only English on, you might be worried that you're not going to understand everything s Oh, this isn't for people off ALS levels.

但只開了英語，你可能會擔心你不會理解所有的東西，哦，這不是給ALS水準以下的人看的。

You need to have a least a basic understanding off learning English and how to speak English.

你至少需要對學習英語和如何說英語有一個基本的瞭解。

How to listen to English.

But there's a few things which can help you well, when you do this.

So number one you're going to need a transcript.

You can find these online for pretty much any movie transcripts of very useful because they have all of the text from the movie.

It will be really good for you.

Make sure it's an English transcript.

You want to be using your own language as little as possible.

Now, obviously, you want to make sure that you're learning English with a movie that has actual native speakers in it.

There's a lot of movies where there will be, for example, a Russian person speaking in English.

Now it's up to you.

Maybe you want tohave a Russian English accent.

I don't know.

But if you want a really native English accent, then you need to make sure the English that you're learning in terms of pronunciation is from a Native speaker.

For example, let's say you wanted to watch a ah Harry Potter film.

比如說，你想看一部啊哈利波特的電影。

Let's say it's good for learning the British accent, first of all, because they all speak in British accents so you could look up a Harry Potter transcript for that movie.

比方說對學習英國口音有好處，首先，因為他們都是用英國口音說話，所以你可以查一個《哈利波特》這部電影的成績單。

So then you can get it on your phone, and then when you've got it on your phone, you can watch the movie.

Now What I recommend you do is that you don't look at the transcript the whole way through.

Try and look at the transcript as little as possible on when it comes to a point where you can understand maybe a word that somebody said in the movie, or maybe something that somebody said that just didn't make sense.

Stop the movie.

Pause it.

Rewind back to before before they say this.

Take a look at your transcript.

Read it, and even after reading it, if you still don't understand it, do a little bit of research.

讀，即使讀完了，如果還是不懂，也要做一點研究。

Remember, you're not just watching a movie.

You're doing this because you want to learn more English. So don't just watch the movie.

You have to study at the same time.

It's still learning, and it's still got to get your brain working.

So if you don't understand it after you've read the transcript, you need to do some dictionary searching.

Find out what the words mean.

Find out what the phrases mean.

If you can't find any answers, then just write it down and you can ask the teacher in a lesson with me, for example, you can ask me what this meant then, obviously, once you've read your transcript, you can then replay what you heard on.

如果你找不到答案，那就把它寫下來，你可以在跟我上課的時候問老師，比如說，你可以問我這個是什麼意思，然後，很明顯，當你看完你的成績單之後，你就可以把你聽到的內容重新播放上去。

See if it makes a little bit more sense.

Carry on with the movie.

And once again, if you come up to another issue, pause it and do the same again is really easy.

It might make the movie last a little bit longer, but it's worth it.

So I always say to my students, that is important to learn English in the most memorable way possible or any language.

Really, Andi, if you love movies, if you love watching things, then it's a great way to learn English because you'll remember it.

So that's why things like having conversations, practicing conversation or watching movies.

Listening, talking.

These are the things which you're going to improve your English the most on that's why movies are so valuable when you feel you're really ready enough, try and watch a movie in English without any transcript on.

Just write down the words.

You don't understand the phrases you don't understand.

Take a look at them after the movie, so this is a really useful tip.

Just make sure that you're finding the most fun and interesting ways to learn English, because if you do this, it will be more memorable.

English is a fun language to learn, and you can find so many different ways.

英語是一門有趣的語言，你可以找到很多不同的方法來學習。
