of calling out corrupt African leaders.

I basically keep it real with them, ha!

I do this because Africa has everything in it to be great.

我成長過程中一直相信 非洲大陸就像是個巨人。

You know, I grew up believing

我們的技術、知識分子、

that Africa as a continent is a giant.

天然資源都比其他大陸更多。

We've got skills, intellectuals,

非洲供應了全世界

natural resources more than any other continent.

31% 的金、錳、鈾，

Africa supplies 31 percent of the world's gold,

57% 的鑽石，

manganese and uranium,

以及 13% 的石油。

57 percent of the world's diamonds

我們沒有理由需要仰賴援助金

and 13 percent of the world's oil.

或向中國或世界銀行借錢。

We have no reason to depend on aid

但，沒有好的領袖，

or borrowing money from China or the World Bank.

我們就像一隻不知道 自己能飛翔的老鷹，

But without good leaders,

更不用說翱翔了。

we're like an eagle that has no idea it could fly,

非洲就像沉睡的巨人。

let alone soar.

Africa is a like a sleeping giant.

Now the truth is, I'm trying to wake up this giant,

And it's because we are tired

the Nigerian president vowed to end medical tourism

by fixing our dilapidated hospitals

But what did he do?

He spends three months receiving treatment in London in 2017.

目前有三萬五千名奈及利亞醫生

"Sir, you have no shame.

在美國、英國，及加拿大工作，

(In Yoruba: You have no fear of God.)

做很了不起的事，

You have no fear of God."

因為在奈及利亞他們的薪水不好，

Thirty-five thousand Nigerian doctors are presently working in the US,

也沒有必要的設備

the UK and Canada,

來進行醫生的工作。

doing amazing things,

許多非洲國家都有這種狀況。

because in Nigeria, they are not well-paid,

我們有飛翔的能力。

neither do they have the necessary equipment

但，可悲的是，許多非洲人才

to do the job of being a doctor.

And this is happening in many African countries.

We have the capacity to fly.

But sadly, a lot of African talent is flying straight out of Africa

The interesting thing is,

We are better than this.

I want our leaders to start taking responsibility

and stop putting everything on God.

平凡的人去影響生命。

God has given us everything we need.

It's right here, let's use it.

她是第一位得到 諾貝爾和平獎的非洲女性，

But here's the thing, my favorite part of what I do

因為她為人權站出來， 並種植了一百萬棵樹木。

is featuring Africans doing amazing work,

還有這位辛巴威的女子， 泰雷雷·特朗博士，

ordinary people touching lives.

她在十四歲就嫁人，

Like this Kenyan woman, Wangari Maathai,

the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace prize,

for standing up for human rights

最後上了歐普拉的節目。

and planting a million trees.

Also this Zimbabwean woman,

who was married off at the age of 14
