And in this video, I'm gonna help you to understand four reasons why you may be failing at interviews and what to do about it, so that you can turn it around and start nailing those interviews and landing more job offers.

Reason Number one.

You're lowering yourself in the presence of the employer.

What I mean by this is there's a good chance that you may be lowering yourself energetically when you're put in an interview situation.

我的意思是，當你被安排在面試的情況下，你很有可能會降低自己的能量。

So you may be putting the employer above you almost on a pedestal, and you see yourself as the lowly job applicant.

所以你可能把上面的僱主幾乎放在了一個臺階上，你把自己看成了低級的求職者。

What this does psychologically is in the eyes of the employer.

這在用人單位看來，心理上的作用是什麼。

They see you as almost less valuable because deep down you see yourself that way.

Essentially, you're not showing very much confidence, and confidence is the number one thing that you need to be successful in a job hunt.

從根本上說，你並沒有表現出很強的自信，而自信是你求職成功的首要條件。

So to turn this around, you need to change the way you see yourself.

所以要想扭轉這個局面，你需要改變你對自己的看法。

At the end of the day, we're all the same.

到最後，我們都是一樣的。

We're all human beings, So here's a technique that I call the consultant approach.

我們都是人，所以這裡有一個技術，我稱之為顧問法。

So while you're preparing for the interview instead of seeing yourself as any other job applicant, see yourself instead as a consultant who's going into a meeting with a potential client.

所以，當你在準備面試的時候，不要把自己看成是其他求職者，而要把自己看成是一個要和潛在客戶見面的顧問。

When a consultant goes into a meeting, they don't see themselves as any less than the person that's sitting in front of them.

Instead, they see themselves as someone who has value to give, has knowledge and skills that this position this company needs.

相反，他們認為自己是一個有價值的人，有付出，有知識和技能，這個崗位這個公司需要。

When you conceive yourself from that perspective, instead of someone who is coming in and hoping for a job and instead someone who has a certain set of knowledge and skills and qualifications that can help this company out, then the way that you'll act, the things that you'll say and how you'll be in the interview will be quite different from the perspective of just being a job applicant.

當你從這個角度來設想自己，而不是一個進來希望找工作的人，而是一個有一定的知識和技能、資歷，可以幫助這個公司的人，那麼你在面試中的行為方式、說的話和表現方式，就會和單純的求職者的角度完全不同。

Reason Number two.

理由二：

You think they control you, so this ties in with reason number one that you're lowering yourself in the presence of the employers.

But essentially many people think that because the employers are asking the questions that they control you.

但本質上很多人認為，僱主問了問題就控制了你。

But that's actually quite the opposite.

但其實恰恰相反。

What you say and how you say determines exactly how they react and how they feel about you, because you're the one feeding them the answers.

你說什麼，怎麼說，恰恰決定了他們的反應和對你的感覺，因為你就是那個喂他們答案的人。

They have nothing else to evaluate on other than the answers that you provide them with.

除了你提供給他們的答案，他們沒有其他的東西可以評估。

So if you answer their questions in a way that's confident, engaging, relevant and tactful, then they'll also see you as that way.

所以，如果你回答他們的問題的方式是自信的、有吸引力的、有針對性的、有技巧的，那麼他們也會認為你是這樣的。

They'll see you as a high quality candidate.

他們會把你看作是一個高素質的候選人。

Remember, you control how they react by how you react to their questions.

If you can remember that, you'll go a long way.

Reason Number three.

理由三：

You're not telling them why you're a good fit every chance you get.

你不是一有機會就告訴他們為什麼你很適合。

Ah, lot of people think that when they're being asked an interview question that they're supposed to just answer that question directly and leave it at that.

啊，很多人認為，當他們被問到一個面試問題時，他們應該直接回答這個問題，然後就可以了。

But that's not the case.

但事實並非如此。

You have to also tie it into why you're a good fit for this position, even if they don't really directly ask you that.

You have to add that onto your answer.

你必須把這一點加到你的答案上。

Every answer that you give.

你給出的每一個答案。

So when answering interview questions, there's usually two parts.

所以在回答面試問題時，通常有兩部分。

Part one is the actual answer to the question that they've asked you and then Part two is why you're a good fit for that role.

第一部分是對他們問你的問題的實際回答，然後第二部分是為什麼你很適合這個角色。

What makes you a good fit for this position?

是什麼讓你適合這個崗位？

Ah, lot of people miss out on Part two without selling yourself.

啊，很多人都錯過了第二部分，沒有推銷自己。

Every chance you get, you're missing out on perfect opportunities to really feed the employer with more and more reasons why you're the perfect one and only fit for this position.

每一次機會，你都會錯過完美的機會，用越來越多的理由來真正餵飽僱主，說明你是最完美的一個，也是唯一適合這個職位的人。

It's always remember when you think that you're done.

當你認為你已經完成的時候，總是記得。

Answering an interview question asked yourself Quickly, Wait, Did I also mention why I'm a good fit for this role?

回答面試問題問自己快，等等，我是不是也提到了我為什麼適合這個崗位？

Based on the answer I just gave.

根據我剛才的回答。

If you hadn't done that, then right away you have to add that on.

如果你沒做過，那麼馬上你就得把這個加上去。

And if you did, then perfect.

如果你做到了，那就完美了。

And finally reason Number four.

最後是第四條理由。

You're technically not a fit.

你技術上不適合。

There's some instances where certain employers will put up job descriptions that have duties that have no relevance to the actual job itself.

有些情況下，某些用人單位會把一些與實際工作本身沒有關聯的職責放在職位描述中。

And that's just simply because they didn't take the time to revise the job description in that situation.

而這僅僅是因為他們在這種情況下沒有花時間去修改工作描述。

There's really nothing you can do about it.

你真的無能為力。

It's beyond your control and you know not your fault at all.

這不是你能控制的，你知道根本不是你的錯。

On the other hand, there are instances where a lot of people apply for jobs that they may only have twenty or thirty percent experience in doing and the rest of the duties they've never touched before.

另一方面，有很多人應聘的工作，可能只有二三成的工作經驗，其餘的職責他們從來沒有接觸過。

And if somehow your ableto land an interview with those types of jobs and you show up and they find out that you really don't have the technical expertise, then you're really just wasting your own time and their time.

So try to avoid those instances and really just apply for the jobs that really makes sense for you at this point in time.

There you have it for reasons for why you may be failing at job interviews and strategies to turn it around so that you can pass your interviews with flying colors and hopefully land more job offers.
