But before Benedict Cumberbatch looks ahead to this year's BAFTAs, he's been reminiscing about winning the Britannia Award last year. It was a really special night, and especially to receive it from two really good friends that I've known for a while, Chiwetel and Alice, that was really lovely, and what they said broke my heart, actually, because that was my favourite moment. They spoke about me as their friend first and foremost and that choked me up. Onto this year though, and fellow 12 Years A Slave co-star Michael Fassbender didn't want to get ahead of himself when asked if he wants to win at the Golden Globes and BAFTAs. I don't know, you tell me. No, it's nice to be nominated, it's nice to get exposure for the film and hopefully encourage people to go see it. It's Gravity that leads the BAFTA nominations though, and having filmed it in the UK, it sounds like Sandra Bullock has become an honorary Brit, repping those who worked on the movie. We got to go back to England, which is where we shot the film and we had such an amazing time there, spent a lot of time there, worked with a lot of amazing people and artists and they all should be here but there's so many of them, there's so many people that worked on every frame of this film and each and every one of them is English and it's nice to be here representing them. If we were gonna have anyone representing us, we'd quite like it to be Sandra Bullock too.
