Someone who doesn't read lives only one. - [Vishen] The man who we believe is the number one teacher in the world today, that's Jim Kwik. And when you see him educate you on speed reading today, you will understand why. ♪ [music] ♪ We kind of underestimate how important reading is to us. Every single day, you're reading news. You're reading social media to get caught up with your friends. You are reading reports to stay up to date in your industry. You're reading emails. You're reading Slacks. You're reading WhatsApp messages. You have to read books to keep your skills constantly growing. So there's so much time we have to spend every single day just on reading. For the average person, this can be anywhere from one to four hours a day. Now, what if we could take that reading and not only cut the time in half, but increase your comprehension and retention? What would you do with two extra hours a day? ♪ [music] ♪ - Knowledge is not only power, knowledge is profit. In today's economy, the knowledge economy, you're paid for what's up here. It's no longer your brute strength, it's your brain strength. It's not your muscle power, it's your mind power. Your total value that you have in this economy is your idea to solve problems, to be able to create, to have these new ideas and act on them quickly. We're not trained on how to do that. All right, this is like the biggest lie is that if I ask you to read faster, your comprehension, you would feel, would go down. But in actuality, it goes up, because... you know, I've been doing this for over 25 years with students all around the world and we have a lot of data. We find that the fastest readers have the best comprehension, because they're the best focused. And because you are better focused, the better focus gives you better comprehension. - That is incredible. - So that's the big lie and a myth. Regardless of your age, your background, your career, your education level, your financial situation, your gender, your personal history, your IQ, none of that matters. There's no such thing as a good or bad reader. There's a trained reader and an untrained reader. Some of the things we're going to cover are how to read one book a week, 52 books a year, in only 15 minutes a day. My name is Jim Kwik and I transform people into speed readers. I hope you join me on this journey. ♪ [music] ♪
