So this question is all about expressing purpose. When you express purpose, you say why you did something? There are two very simple grammatical forms that you can use to express purpose in English. The 1st 1 is two plus an infinitive verb. We call this the infinitive of purpose. For example, I ran to catch the bus or the dog lay down to sleep. If you want to make things a bit more formal, you could use in order to or so as to, for example, Iran in order to catch the bus or the dog lay down so as to sleep. The other form you can use is four plus a noun form. For example. I ran for the bus or the dog lay down for a nap. Okay, let's stop for a second and take a break.
