- For me I think the first bit is always having that hook, that thing that gets people tuning into the episode in the first place whether that's a really eye catching sometimes controversial thumbnail or podcast title where it's having a controversial take from the guest as like the opening of the episode having that really engaging hook is something that really helps. I guess that applies to any form of content even a book or you know a piece of speaking engagements for example so it's definitely something that like I try to do in my work and obviously don't try and get all the controversy at like the beginning but it's just maybe it's just like they ask a really interesting question so maybe I'll put that at the beginning and I change the order for example like for example a podcast doesn't have to be start to finish and then you just upload it you can always alter the way and reshape the conversation to basically make it as interesting as possible.
