brave and knowing that literally nothing will happen if you get rejected it can be so casual it can be like this i think that you're really cute if you would like to go out sometime i would love to get your number and get to know you that simple if they're like oh no sorry i'm not into girls you can be like okay well you have a really cute style or like speak to what you connect on and you could end up making really sweet friends i am not about a dinner date i hate sitting so formally across from someone making eye contact the whole time i would much rather do an activity together so go to an losing your virginity all over again i felt that way granted i was i don't know 17 when i actually started dating and hooking up with girls it still felt like whoa i'm a fully grown person and i feel so foreign in this world of pleasuring women and i always had this idea that it would be so easy because we have similar body parts but it definitely felt a little bit discouraging not immediately know a lot of people like the temperature taking thing that tells you when you're ovulating doing cycle tracking and things like that are great but i know that they're not foolproof and i do know people who have gotten unintentionally pregnant and just a reminder that it takes time for soulmates and deep connections to be forged you're not automatically going to have the best sex of your life with a new partner who you think is cute it takes time to gain that understanding even to communicate well and it's so easy to compare our first time hooking up with someone to an ex who we had really great sex with and be like damn i'm never gonna have sex as good as that ever again but it's really you know that relationship probably took some time to get to that point of intimacy and comfort and so just know that your first time hooking up with someone might be a little bit awkward it might be a little bit nerve-wracking but over time you get more information you understand each other more
