- In our images in clinical medicine, a five week old boy was brought to the hospital with a painful scalp lump that had been present since birth on examination, there was a tense non pulsatile round mass on the occiput surrounded by a ring of dark coarse hair consistent with the hair collar sign seen with neural tube defects.
