The Coco (可可夜總會) is my must-see film.

Moment of tangency([ˋtændʒənsɪ]n.接觸): A glimpse([glɪmps]n.一瞥) what might have been.
Transcript => 0:32 There was this famous movie in Taiwan called “Turn left, turn right.” which in Chinese is called 向左走,向右走. The movie is about a young man who lives next door(隔壁) to a young woman, and they keep missing the chances to meet each other. Many found the film fascinating since it shows how precious(a.珍貴的) it could be to meet, get to know(認識) and even fall in love with someone. It’s hard to believe that only if(除非) we are lucky enough, sometimes we can achieve what we love and need the most. Today’s video {poetically([poˋɛtɪkəlɪ] adv.詩意地)} describes such a phenomenon([fəˋnɑmə͵nɑn]n.現象). Let’s take a look at the sentence of the day:
You never know how easily fate might have tipped you onto some other course, meeting some other person, who would feel like a soulmate.(以下翻譯取自unickname)你永遠也料想不到,命運可以多麼輕易地帶你走向其他條路、遇到某個讓你感覺就像是你靈魂伴侶的人。
might have = might’ve [ˋmaɪtəv]

1. fate [feɪt] (n.)命運
We might not know what would happen in the future, but with enough courage(n.勇氣) and wisdom(n,智慧) , we could still decide our fate(n.命運).

2-1. tip [ tɪp] (v.)使傾斜
In the past, Europeans(n.歐洲人) tipped(v.傾斜) their hats to show recognition([͵rɛkəgˋnɪʃən]n.認可), respect and gratefulness.

2-2. tip [ tɪp] (v.)支付小費
In most of the western countries, it is very common for people to tip(v.給小費) waiters, taxi drivers and other service workers.

2-3. tip [ tɪp] (n.)訣竅
Since Tommy didn’t do well on the exam, our homeroom teacher(班級導師) asked him(me) to share some study tips with him.

3-1. soulmate [ˈsoʊl.meɪt] (n.)靈魂伴侶
soul (n.)靈魂 + mate(n.)夥伴
At the inauguration([ɪn͵ɔgjəˋreʃən]n.就職) ceremony, the president expresses(v.表達) his deep sense of gratitude([ˋgrætə͵tjud]n.感謝) to his soulmate who is also the First Lady.

3-2. soul [soʊl] (n.)靈魂
Mexicans believe that the souls(n.靈魂) of the deceased([dɪˋsist]n.亡者) will come from the underworld(n.陰間) to visit their living(a.活著的) loved ones on the Day of the Dead(n.亡者).
+ Day of the Dead 亡靈節

Okay, that’s it for today. Everyone is unique and different from one another, that’s why {having a bosom([ˋbʊzəm]a.知心的) friend} who understands you is so precious and rare. Therefore, we have to cherish(v.珍愛) our loved ones and value(v.重視) the friendship that didn’t {come by得到} easily. Do you think soulmates actually exist? What are some of the qualities you consider a friend of you should have? I hope you like what we talk about today. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below along with your recordings.

按華人說法,就是緣分啦,朋友、閏蜜、知己甚至是伴侶都是因緣分而結交的
