What’s up? Voicetubers. My name is Ingrid. And you’re listening to today’s pronunciation challenge. Are you an introvert or extrovert? For extrovert, starting a conversation is easy. They feel energized after talking to the people. But for introvert is hard to open up. We can find it exhausted to talk to people all day. I can text, sing, I can read something confidently, but when I come face to face to someone, my mind go blank. When I face someone new, unfamiliar especially. It’s really scary. All I want to do is hide in a café with internet and come out twice a week. (tough?) And guys, I probably sound confident in this challenges, but I can sure you if I ever meet you in person, you will feel awkwardness from me. Life as an introvert is a constant struggle. This video today can help introvert like me and some of you from being so shy. And if you’re not introvert, watch this video because it will help you understand more about your introvert friend. But before you do that, let’s practice today’s sentence.
But I noticed that when I tried talking to an attractive girl or a popular kid, this awkward feeling would take over my entire body.
Okay now let’s move on to today’s vocabulary.
First of the vocabulary of the day is attractive.
Attractive can mean very pleasant in appearance or sound, or it can mean (costing?) interest and pleasure.
For example, she has a lot of followers on Instagram because she’s attractive not because she’s talented.
So the verb tense of attractive is attract. It can mean two things. The first one to pull or draw someone or something towards them by the quality they have especially the good ones. Or it can mean if you’re attracted by or to someone. You like them. Often find them sexually interesting. Okay so two examples here. The first one is the higher quality product attract more customers than our competitors. So that’s the first meaning. And the second one is I’m usually attracted to boys with curly hair. I have no idea why. That’s the second meaning of the attract.
Okay now let’s take a look at another vocabulary.
Awkward, again awkward has two different meanings.
The first one is causing problem, worry or embarrassment.
The second one is moving in a way that is not natural, relaxed or attractive.
Two examples here, the first one the awkward silence in the room indicated the jokes he just told wasn’t funny at all.
The second example. Tom looks awkward using chopsticks but this is his first time, he finally pick up his sushi after the third try. Okay that’s it for awkward.
Next I’m gonna talk about takeover. Takeover is a phrase, it means to start doing a job or being responsible for something that another person did or had responsibility for before.
For example, Lena took over his brother’s company when he was put in jail for a crime. The second one, tiredness took over my body after ten hours of work. So when you put the words take and over together with no space between. Takeover, it will become a noun. And it means a situation which company gets controlled of other company by buying enough of its shares. For example, my best friend has been really busy for the last few months working on the takeover of her father’s company. she barely has time for me.
So the next vocabulary of the day is entire. Entire is an adjective and it can mean whole or complete with nothing missing. For example, when I got home, the entire cake was gone, my dog was staring at me innocently with frosting all over its mouth, so obviously, the dog ate the cake, right. So when you put ly at the end of entire, entirely, it will become an adverb, entirely, and it means completely.
For example, I came home and saw my roommate body covered entirely with body paintings. I had no idea what he was up to. Okay guys that’s it for today’s pronunciation challenge. Be sure to leave a comment and recording. I do appreciate when you do both of those and remember to watch the video. My name is Ingrid and I’ll see next time.

因為害羞不想面對面跟人交談也沒關係,在這裡能也感受到人群的溫暖!!

謝謝Ingrid~

Recording: Back in high school, I really wanted to be that cool kid who was always confident, relaxed, and smooth in every single situation. But I noticed that when I tried talking to an attractive girl or a popular kid, this awkward feeling would take over my entire body. The more I thought about this feeling, the worse it all got. So I’ve set on a mission to get rid of this feeling forever.

今天是禮拜一囉,大家上班加油!
有不少人在問我們公司是不是什麼樣的職缺都有,在這裡推薦大家可以去找 新加坡商立福人事顧問公司,在104跟1111上面都有刊登蠻多職缺,但如果真的找不到也可以直接問我,有時候客戶剛開給我們的職缺是不會在上面的。更新和關職缺的速度也算是相當快,所以有興趣也可以直接私訊我啦。
