Over the last week, Disney has announced some new additions and changes that will be making their way to Walt Disney World next year, some arm or extensive than others.

So I thought it would be fun to fill you in and discuss some of these major editions coming in 2019.

This doesn't include Star Wars, Galaxies edge cause.

I'm sure most of you already know about that.

But if you don't Star Wars Galaxies Edge.

A new 14 acre land will be opening at Hollywood Studios in late fall of 2019.

The New Land is gonna be home to two brand new attractions, and construction is well under way.

It's gonna be one impressive and immersive experience, but that's gonna be one of the last editions added in 2019.

So today we'll discuss the stuff that's coming before Galaxy's edge and in order of their respected openings.

We're going to be counting down the top five new attractions coming to Walt Disney World in 2019.

Number five.

Since the end of June 2018 Pixar Place at Hollywood Studios had gone down in history as an extinct land.

Once Toy Story Land opened, the iconic Pixar sign was removed.

Then, about a week later, they officially shut the doors to Pixar Place, which had only been around since 2008.

Well, there is some good news from Disney last week when they announced that beginning January 18th 2019 the Pixar Place area would be themed to The Incredibles.

It's gonna be transformed into the municipal Urgh!

City Block Municipal urgh is a metropolitan city where a lot of The Incredibles two takes place.

Now.

Pixar Place was theme to the Pixar Studios in Emeryville, California and it has a very distinct Pixar look.

It isn't very Metropolitan looking, in my opinion, so this transformation could go one of two ways.

The first would be an extensive transformation where all the Pixar animation studio references are removed.

Major reconstruction of the area could take shape with metropolitan building facades added more along the lines of this facade that was left over from Streets of America.

The arch marks where Pixar place ended.

So keeping this metropolitan city corner seems to be now working in Disney's favor.

I'm not sure if any of the other facades, backdrops and or props from Streets of America were kept, but it'll be interesting to see if any of it shows up in this new area.

The other way to go is Pixar Place could get the Toy Story treatment, where the Pixar sign returns and a bunch of props are just placed over the buildings in UM, or temporary fashion.

The article from Disney mentions Pixar Place a few times when describing what we can expect and the anchor points for the Pixar sign on.

The pillars have also been kept, so the return of the sign might be a good possibility.

I mean, the promo art Disney released still uses the Pixar brick, and you can see the front of the building where the Toy Story mania entrance used to be.

So the probability that some of the Pixar studios theming will remain is pretty high.

But the question is just how much?

Maybe the front half will still have this Pixar feel mixed with The Incredibles props.

But then the back half where streets of America used to be, well, Seymour facades and city theming added, But I don't know.

I'm sure something like the Woody Scrabble pieces in the cement will be removed.

But if you take a look at this picture, the only toy story references left and Pixar Place are things that can be physically moved.

So in that sense, it's really a clean slate that they're working with.

Seeing it all empty makes the area look a lot more generic, So it'll be interesting to see the direction Disney takes.

Some other information released on this New Incredibles area is that at the end of the block, ah party will be held in honor of Mr and Mrs Incredible and Frozen.

I take this information as they're being a new dance party with other character interactions.

Another piece of information we learned is that Edna Mode will have her own meet and greet Pixar Place only has one meet and greet area.

And that's in this building where Buzz and Woody used to meet.

This seems like the logical meeting spot for her, and Disney said she'll be setting up in Municipal urgh, showcasing some of her latest creations, which could lead to some fun theming inside the building.

The last bit of information we got about Municipal City Block was to look for clues to the whereabouts of the youngest Incredible Jack Jack, I think an interactive game looking for Jack Jack like a pirate's adventure.

Treasures of the Seven Seas at Magic Kingdom would be a fun addition to the land, either that or something along the lines of how they hid Pascal around the tangled restrooms area that could also work.

But the fact that they say look for clues leads me to believe that it's more of an interactive experience, which would be a welcome addition to the park.

Either way, it's really exciting that will be able to access this area once again, and that The Incredibles will now have a new home in Hollywood Studios.

Number four December 1st 2018 will mark the last day of the move it shake it dance and play It Street Party at Magic Kingdom, and on January 18th 2019 it'll return as the Move it.

Shake it.

Mosca Dance it Street party Mickey Mouse turns 90 on November 18th so this newly revamped street party will celebrate the one and only Mickey Mose move it.

Shake.

It has been around since 2009 so who knows?

After a decade, maybe this will be the last to raw for the street party parade.

Either way, kids really seem to enjoy this experience, and it's gonna feature new arrangements of Mickey Mouse Club songs sung by live singers.

Having live singers in the Hub kind of brings it back to the days when the Castle State shows featured the kids of the Kingdom On Speaking of Live Singers, the dapper dans on Main Street will also be singing some classic songs in honor of Mickey and Minnie Number three.

Beginning spring of 2019 a new show experience called Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy will find its helm at Sunset Showcase beside rock n roller coaster at Hollywood Studios.

Disney hasn't released much information about the show, but they did say that it's the first of its kind handle.

Place you right in the middle of the world of cars.

The fact that it's the first of its kind leads me to believe that some form of new technology will be used in the show.

The Sunset Showcase Theater is a smaller venue and isn't a traditional theatre with seats.

It's more of just a kn empty black box theater that does have a screen that wraps around the perimeter.

This screen could be the way that were transported to the Cadillac Mountain range.

Maybe the show could have an interactive element, like the technology that scene in Monster's and class floor but uses the life sized characters in a simulator experience.

The show's gonna feature Lightning McQueen Mater and Cruz Ramirez.

Disney also announced that at the end of the Racing Academy, you get a chance to meet Cruz Ramirez before Pixar Place closed.

There was already this meeting agreed, So it appears they're just bringing it over to the other side of the park.

It'll be really interesting.

The sea with the show shapes up to be.

But like The Incredibles and Pixar Place, giving cars a home at Hollywood Studios is definitely a welcome addition.

Number two.

One of the announcements from the D 23 Expo in 2017 was that a new ride called Mickey and Minnie is Runaway Railway will find a home in the Chinese Theatre at Hollywood Studios.

And although this date hasn't been confirmed, Mickey and Minnie is Runaway.

Railway is rumored to open around summer of 2019.

This is gonna be a brand new dark ride experience where you step into the Chinese Theatre for the premiere of a new Mickey Short, only to find yourself sucked into the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon.

This experience is gonna use new technology that's being defined as two and 1/2 D.

He won't need a pair of three D glasses for this ride, but there will be screens, physical sets and, apparently, some animatronics.

It's also going to feature a catching you theme song that's been created specifically for the ride.

This is an aspect that's been lost in a lot of the newer attractions Disney has developed, so it's good to see the idea of an original theme song returning.

All these elements seem to be the perfect ingredients for a new modern hit attraction.

And although we had to lose the great movie ride, I think Mickey and Minnie is runaway Railway might just be a big hit here.

Number one, a new Fireworks spectacular, will debut on World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot in 2019.

Illuminations.

Reflections of Earth, which has entertained guests since 1999 will end its 20 year run at the end of summer 2019.

No official dates have been released, but the end of summer is technically September 22nd so I'm guessing illuminations will end around then.

Then, immediately after the new show is set to debut.

Now, Disney has said that the fireworks show will be part of the transformation of Epcot.

With this transformation, we're seeing more I P's brought into the park like guardians of the galaxy and rat itude.

So I'm sure I P's are something that we can expect to see in the new firework show.

It's gonna obviously feature a brand new score, and there's rumors that drones will be used in this new spectacular, and that the presentation of the show will be similar to Fantasmic in Tokyo.

No official details have been released about the show, but I'm sure it's gonna be spectacular, given the amount of new technology that's available today with Star Wars Galaxies Edge also coming later that year.

2019 is gonna be one exciting year at Walt Disney World.
