  • Hello, everyone, and welcome to another video.

  • Now this isn't in video GTX 555 It was part of a wholesale locked of PC components up for sale on eBay.

  • And to be honest, it was the other items that influenced my purchase decision.

  • This was sort of just an added bonus, so to speak.

  • To my surprise, though, we've never actually tested one on this channel.

  • And although I've heard of it, I forgot I existed until it arrived in the Post.

  • This GPU isn't to be confused with the duty 555 m often found in older alien way laptops like the one I tested last year, though it does share a similar background with that mobile graphics card in that this would have been found in Alien wears desktop PCs.

  • Instead.

  • It's an ODM product, which means it was specifically added to pre built systems and never, as far as I know, got sold individually under this name.

  • But it did appear rebranded as a 5 60 s e for retail sale.

  • By the time that released, the PC community had seen more than their fair share of GTX 500 Siri's cards, this one looks particularly bland, though, so the spicy up I've decorated it for myself with flames.

  • I know what you're thinking.

  • Where can I buy this fantastic design?

  • Well, unfortunately, this is a one off custom pace.

  • But you might just catch it on eBay sometime if you're lucky.

  • Despite the lack of a titanium moniker in the title, the 555 should outperform the 5 50 t I but full short of the 5 60 t i by some margin.

  • But why talk about performance when we contest it?

  • So, without further ado, let's see if 2000 and 11 del GTX, Triple five can run any modern titles.

  • Spec wise.

  • We've got just one gigs of the you're on, but it is Judy are five as well as 288 Cuda cause a 736 and megahertz core clock onda 1914 megahertz memory clock.

  • Those of the stock figures and any attempt to change them for whatever reason resulted in our PC completely freezing up.

  • So first, all I thought we'd start with an easy one.

  • This is bioshock, infinite.

  • A slightly old again but one that released around the same time as this card at 10 80 p.

  • Lo, we saw an average frame rates off 62 f.

  • P.

  • S drink this asylum level.

  • Andi.

  • Overall, it was a pretty decent gameplay experience.

  • Now turning things up to medium or high had a huge impact on the frame rate, though if you want to improve this ever so slightly than 7 20 p would be the way forward.

  • But full HD our graphics card.

  • He had no problem in running this older title.

  • I apologize for the 30 FBS gameplay here with this game, but I was testing out a new capture card on.

  • It appears I haven't got the settings quite right just yet, but let's move on to our second title.

  • The much newer and more recently released call of duty.

  • World War Two.

  • Now, originally, I did want to try Battlefield five, but the latest supported drivers for this firmly graphics card was, unfortunately not good enough for the battlefield.

  • Five launcher to handle.

  • If you remember, I believe in video discontinued firmly supports sometime last year.

  • Onder Battlefield five requires driver version 409 point something or other onder.

  • Unfortunately, this card only supports up to about 398 point something.

  • I'm so very specific with my figures.

  • Yeah, it appears the latest supported drivers for the G Tex 555 is a version 391.35 Instead, then I had to make do with call of duty World War Two, which at 7 20 p with the low settings, average around 50 frames per second overall, over a couple of levels that I tested.

  • Now it's not a fish fantastic game experience.

  • For example, you can see the gee takes 555 is pretty much maxed out usage wise.

  • But if you do want to play this game on you have a card like this, then just note that it is perfectly doable now.

  • Fall cry.

  • Five actually run surprisingly bad, even at 7 20 p, with the low settings preset in any form of anti a lacing turned off.

  • We were hovering around 25 frames per second here, just running around, causing chaos, and it was a little bit of a disappointing result.

  • Now I didn't do anything with the render resolution.

  • This was at 100% scaling, and I'm sure telling the inning that down a bit would have helped to improve the overall F.

  • P s.

  • But it would have made the game look a whole lot worse.

  • And there still was some significant frame drops, causing us to drop way below the 30 f ps threshold that I like to try and achieve when using ODA graphics cards like this one.

  • Although in most instances here I have aimed for the full fat 60 f p s experience, whether the cards entirely capable of that or not.

  • Now, one game that did run particularly well on this one gig GTX card was Fortnight 7 20 p.

  • With a mixture of the medium and high settings and 100% resolution scaling on.

  • We saw at least 60 frames per second, most off the time.

  • Now this will drop below 60 on some occasions, as you could imagine.

  • But I think here at 7 20 p, this car did a pretty decent job.

  • Despite its V RAM limitations, it actually supports direct X 12.

  • So it should, in theory, ran most modern games out there.

  • But as I say, games like Battlefield five, if we quickly go back to that will simply not start due to their lack of driver support.

  • No, because Fortnight did so well at 7 20 p, I decided to see how well it would do a 10 80 Pia's well on that.

  • Unfortunately, their performance was quite significantly different.

  • We were averaging around 36 frames per second, which is still respectable considering the age off this graphics card.

  • But yes, 7 20 p is the ideal way to play, and 900 people give you performance somewhere in between.

  • At 10 80 p, you'll see some drops below 30 F.

  • P.

  • S as well, so it really isn't the best resolution to play it.

  • But just know that it does work.

  • Should you want to play this game on a car like this at full HD now?

  • Perhaps I was a little bit daring when it came to trying out justcause four at 7 20 p with the low graphical preset and everything turned down as low as it could possibly go.

  • Now the thing about Justcause forest that you can turn the resolution way down below 7 20 p, but that made no real difference at all.

  • We were hovering around 5 to 10 frames per second most of the time over this 10 minutes gameplay period.

  • Now over.

  • Watch another slightly older but very capable title here for this card.

  • 100% resolution scaling.

  • We use the medium proof set with nothing added and nothing taken away.

  • This was the Hollywood level against a few bots here, performance doesn't very too much between about match and online.

  • I simply used match footage because it's more fluent, more consistent, because I'm always getting wiped out when I'm playing online, and it totally messes up the game play.

  • But I can say now that these figures are from the online portion off my game play test on Dhe.

  • It was a pretty respectable result for Overwatch.

  • As I said 10 80 p.

  • Now this will very ever so slightly, depending on the map that you're playing on.

  • But uh, most of the time for election, we will give you a pretty decent experience on an older oh am graphics card like the 555 here.

  • Interestingly, there's not many of these deeper use about on places like You Bay.

  • There are a few in the sold section of the site so there has been some listed quite recently, but they are relatively hard to come by and you have to ask yourself as to whether or not one of the's is worth buying, I'm gonna have to say, Not really, you know, firm isn't supported anymore.

  • The car does an OK job in some instances, and if you're just looking for a cheap GPU to run some of your older titles at 7 20 p resolution with lower settings, then it may do an OK job.

  • But if you're putting together a new build than it's worth, bearing in mind that the onboard graphics you might find on something like a rise in 3 22 100 g all rise and 5 24 100 you, for that matter would do a better job off running a lot of modern titles.

  • Plus, they've got all of the latest support as well.

  • An interesting point when it comes to far cry.

  • Five is there.

  • Even the Athlon 200 g will run that game smoother atter 7 20 p resolution with about 80% resolution scaling if it's anything like far cry new dawns performance, which, of course, it would be because it's pretty much the same game.

  • Just re skinned to end things here.

  • I've just fired up on old again that this card is now very well seem to to oblivion.

  • It can actually be quite demanding in some situations if you turn the settings all the way up.

  • But here again, it run absolutely fine.

  • You won't have any problems with this title and a card like this one.

  • No.

  • While ago we actually tested a vice 60 and compared it to the integrated graphics of the F or Mentor and Rise and 5 24 100 G and found that performance wasn't too dissimilar, in fact, so as I mentioned before, that's definitely something to bear in mind.

  • Overall, the GTX Triple five isn't exactly a card that you'd want to purchase in 2019 but it is one that, at lower resolutions can still handle itself in some cases.

  • Surprisingly so.

  • I don't think they made a two gig variant, so there's no point looking out for one of those.

  • But I, as with a lot of these older cars, is the V RAM limitation to that hold you back other than just the overall poor performance in general and, of course, lack of driver support now with Fermi cards.

  • But having said that, well, I hope you've enjoyed today's video.

  • If you did leave a like on it, leave a dislike.

  • If you didn't let me know if you still run a genetics Triple five in your system or have one of the original alien, where's this would have been found in Subscribe to the Channel if you haven't done so already, and hopefully I'll see all of you in the next one.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to another video.
