  • for the fourth season of food Tripping with Molly.

  • I wanted to go big like travel to a new country Big.

  • Unfortunately, due to some expenditures last season, we didn't quite have the budget to go abroad.

  • But my producers assured me they could send me someplace here in the US that was just like its own country.

  • That's right.

  • This season we're tackling Texas.

  • Over the next 10 episodes, my trusty crew and I will travel 3000 miles across the Lone Star State in search of good food, good characters and good times.

  • And as luck would have it, our journey just happened to coincide with one of Texas's most quintessential experiences for such pursuits, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

  • But before we get started, I can't wait any longer.

  • Que The Custom Food Tripping With Molly Season four Theme song.

  • We wanted to do something to play.

  • Owe much to it a little bit.

  • So we have one of our beers with cotton candy.

  • One with fried Oreos.

  • Yep.

  • Fried Oreos are a thing.

  • See?

  • But more on that later, the Houston rodeos in a giant football stadium.

  • It's almost like the Mardi Gras for Houston.

  • Everybody goes.

  • There was 75,000 people there last night.

  • Watch the rodeo, experience a carnival, eat fried foods, drinks beer and really just kind of have a good time.

  • Sounds easy enough.

  • But before I'd be let loose to have a good time at the Mardi Gras of rodeos, I still had a little bit of acclimating to D'oh.

  • Turns out this was kind of like being in a foreign country Hee ha.

  • Actually, kind of good, don't you think?

  • Come here.

  • I don't know if I was okay.

  • Molly does not have a future and trick roping.

  • Um, she's a really great assistant because she's very enthusiastic and encouraging, but the roping should probably not be a thing that she liked pursues.

  • I'm impressed with roping that little dummy, so I have no idea what I'm in for.

  • Tomorrow.

  • I guess I can try to do it by it.

  • I don't know how she can get in the rodeo tomorrow and get some popcorn and take a seat stands and watch professionals do it.

  • You're headed to the rodeo.

  • This is my first rodeo ever.

  • I have no idea what to expect, but I think I did a pretty good job with the wardrobe.

  • Everything from traditional fare, which would be your cotton candy, caramel candy, apples to the wild and wacky of the crazy deep fried things.

  • You're gonna find it here at the Houston Livestock Show in rodeo.

  • Time to get weird with the Midway Gourmet.

  • This guy has it all flaming hot Cheetos encrusted corn on the cob.
