It's a quick turnaround for us, isn't it?

But we'll start first with the Great War.

Only two horses, admittedly have won both this century.

But you know, it was hard not to be impressed by that performance the way which he beat that field.
And we came into it when we did the preview, saying, We thought that was quite a few nice types in there, waiting to beat them.
I'm decimated them pulled away from the smart, potentially smart performance was really, really impressive.
I think the fact that he's 8 to 1 for the supreme novices heard there's a big clue about where the where is loyalties lie because it may also be a case with, you know, college is, I don't want to keep them separate, if possible.
But there's a certain 13 to 8 favor in the Ballymore that everybody will want to avoid as well.

Well, Nick, do you do you think for the other horses, that would be a case of going back to the drawing board with them?

You know, for some of these novices, the majority of them were having just the third of four star, so we know that sand down can come up very soft.

Yeah, I think you're really asking an awful lot of the horse to step up into open company like that.
The champion hurdle and, you know, it looks like the Baltimore is going to be the number one target.
That's because he went on Sunday in the lawyer of Nace novices.
Hurdle that was over two and 1/2 miles to Baltimore is over 25 so that you'd think that that would be the target bought is showing plenty of speed so far, there's no reason why you can't drop back and win the Supreme on DDE.
I tell you what.
If he did actually go for the champion, Odo, would you take my opinion out and let's say they took him in and, you know, really sporting about it, looking at the champion heard And you'd have to You'd have to factor nothing.
That's why would it say Tear would have seen previous years, We probably would have sat here and said, You know, go for their body more, you know, keep it simple.
However, this year on, look at that two mile division.
You've really got to fund see your chance to show it.
You've got to Avenue.
You know, we don't want to bash the champion hurdle in division too much.

When you know a male like that, I suddenly favor the champion head off the back of one grade one performance and bubbles have just been bursting left, right and center in this division.
So a lot of them of holes in, you know, classical Dream has struggled so far this term Pentland Hills.

It didn't go to plan for him in the international hurdle, but at the same time of those horses bounce back, it would be a big ass for a novice to take them on that.

He wouldn't want you now, but back in August on Dhe need one room one, since he's now 12 of his last three starts when he wanted on Sunday.
It's a pretty notable scalp, and I think he's really interesting.
You know, he's never once put for faith in temperament wise, but we've got here a 10 year old novice, one of the most experienced novices going.
It might just be worth keeping an eye on over the next few weeks and months because I much in his connections, his new train will be very canny with him.
They've got a very experienced novice, and there are some decent pots open this time of year in these novice, smaller, novice races.
Wouldn't surprise me either if they went for a bit of a sequence or if they decided to chuck him in one of these big, big part novice contests, like the National on Chaser in Equipments Time is not the only older novice chases them around.

The other day, as you rightly said, it is, if the building off you know, the peak of the mountain is Shelton on, we know that he ended and gets his horses ready.
We know everybody targets the horses for those days on the fact that the nicest going nice and slowly reading maybe the issue the ownership issues is being a plus for them, where they can withdraw from the limelight and introduce it slowly might be a good thing, but the fact that we've only just seen album Bozo in the fact that we've only just seen Kemboi, I think you know the only run decent enough races first time.
Oh, that was a nice race here.

So you know, there's a few a few cross marks against a few, but there's a few, you know, little plus points.
As in, you know, people are starting Thio reach the peak at the right time.
That's the thing without being, you know, it is easy to forget.
I think that he's he's the favorite because he's got the radar aboard.

But there are plenty of hidden gems in there.
So I've set you a task of maybe flagging up a couple of race courses that you bean to that maybe perhaps a little bit smaller than that you enjoyed and, you know, just just to put them up.

You know, we'll know I've loved it down to 23 It should be only sweetly, though I could have named a lot because I think There's a some fantastic race courses out there that don't necessarily get the credit.
If if I'm being honest s So what I've done, I'm nobody down to three.
My 1st 1 is Lester.
I really enjoyed Lester.
It's actually one of my favorite race courses.
Well, Pontin, I've always done well there.
Something just just falls right for May on.
I've always had great days out when I've gone down there as well with the family.
The same could be said for for not ing him as well.
I remember once upon a time when they used to have, like jumps racing at Nottingham and also that was it some years ago before that.
Finished again.
You know, not in game.
A relatively small truck go there with the family had some good success there as well.
I know they have the Nottingham Sure Oaks, which is wrong.
Midweek.
So another great track that I do like but said the one that I'm reminiscing get the praises for is that you talk sitter because in my opinion, Nick, this is one off the best race courses in the country without a shadow of a doubt.
It's a great day for everybody you know well again when I take my kids way up So ever amazing day there that the races Brilliant.
I love the Midlands Grand National.
You've got this summer copper as well.
The team that you'd socks.
It's air absolutely phenomenal that they're so friendly that the were card that just brilliant from start to finish on Dhe.
I would like to see them actually gets some former A great race, to be honest with you, you know, Great.

It'sjust, a bonkers race course.
It's inside out.
So the whole grandstand is in in the infield because of that.
Really, everything is all together so that the family section and the fair is on one side.
And then you've got the you know she got a nice atmosphere than the bit more with serious race.
Go in, the old mingle together.
You know the racing.
You're not going to see court Oh star.
But it's getting better all the time.
They have their own £40,000 feature.

Speaking about some Some of the race course there, right then, let's let's look forward now.
To where?
The Classic Chase on Saturday.
Warrick.
We know that's a lot of trainers use this as as a trial.
The stepping stone towards the Grand National in particular for a few years ago.
Want for Arthur won this race, he went on to win the Grand National.
After that, Mallon's bar will come to that horse of the 2nd 1 This race a few years ago also and then went on to finish fifth in the Grand National Lets Start.
That is, at the time of recording, with the the market leader the conditional here, who run a crack last time to finish second in the lab.
Brooks Trophy.
Yeah, very much so.
And probably the right favor at the time of right time recording.

This is a really, really competitive race, but this the conditional, really arrives here on a proper or would trajectory.
You know where he's only been with David Bridgewater for and full of starts this season, but he's come on so quickly, you know, you get off the mark two starts ago.
It Chatham's over fences that tells you how fast he's progressing on.
You know that that form is really working out well, because he beat two in second and third in West approach in Calgary.
You want to win in the November and then the December meetings, respectively, it telling them so that form has been front.
And then he built on that to finish a marvelous second in the lab.
Brooks Trophy last time out.
I don't think the extra trip will be an issue here stepping up to three mile five.
It is a real test for stays, but he shaped as one that will appreciate that on Dhe.
You know, he's currently off the mark of one for two.
Now we've talked about how the classic Chase is an indicator of the Grand National with one year after winning it 2 to 3 years ago on.
We've talked also earlier in the in the podcast about how 145 is the Golden Territory in terms of sneaking into entries, right?
Do you think they'd want to win this race if he's on 142 now?
Because if they decimate the field, he's gonna be eating up towards the one fifties.
Yeah, well, to be honest video if he wins it, then.
Yet, as you say, you know the handicap Mark is going to go all.
But if if he does win it, the confidence is going to be high, you know?
So don't get along.
It might run a great race in defeats.
But if if if it was made, you want to win this on Goldman, a cracker in the ground in the Grand National, that's my opinion.
Anyway, you know that that's that's the way I'm going in.
And let's be honest, you know, as you're waiting out there, you know, one fifties, you know, no problem.
No problem.
No, I don't suppose it the way it is these days anyway, you've got to be a good horse to win, to win the Grand National in the modern day and age.
And what better way I supposed, you know, winning a race like this.
But it will be no mean feat because they're much and it will be testing as well.
Inside Kimble Eye Candy is the second favorite at the time of record, Of course, he was second in the beach, a chase behind a walk in the mail definitely aimed at the Grand National, and I thought he run a good race it behind the window, and I also think you'll go well on Saturday as well.

Well, entry last month.
We've just talked about how the conditional is a potential national type.
Kim, like Camby, is very much a national type.
E thrived over the National fences on his first try in the beach last month.
And, yeah, he comes here with every chance.
I mean, that form is not to be scoffed at Aintree at the likes of definitely Red and one for Arthur and behind him.
So he is a smart staying chaser on.
He's only got £3 as well.
For that, he comes here off 1/4 e.
So he's an eight year old.
He's very much on the up on his offer.
Very comparative.

Well, so it wouldn't surprise me if he went off his favorite petite power.
This year, our plasma knelt for petite power.
If you cannot rule out any for Gle O'Brien horse, that's my note for it.

You know, the big characteristic of a national, be it the Grand National, the Scottish national blah, blah bother.
All of the variations of the National is that you've got to be a real stare on Dhe Warrick being the combination of three mile five Andi, usually testing ground as well means that it's a really barometer for these national races.
And it's a real test in its own right.
Much like the idea is, if I remember correctly, when I chapter Carrie Carrie Lee on the Christmas episode a couple of months ago last month, she won this with Russo Blunk into yes and 16.
She's she's well qualified, and I'm almost certain that when I asked her what are the real test of stamina along with the Welsh National?
