She's participated in the contest for the past eight years, and now it is her big moment to shine. So Aaron is joining us now with a preview on Saturdays. Big ST Patrick's Day parade. I don't know if we about now we're already seated. So I did We bow if we kiss the ring. But we do say a big Thank you so much. I'm so excited to be here. It's It's gonna be such a wonderful experience to be queen this year. Oh, the last five years, I was in court. And so it's such a great honor to represent plumbers Local 1 30 this year in the parade. So I'm very excited. So Okay, So tell us. Because you did say you were on the court for five years. Last year's queen I know she came into It was Lauren Cory, right? Lauren came into Amazing. Now Lauren Nielsen. I was actually a bridesmaid in her wedding. This s o. This experience has been so much fun. I've met a lot of great girlfriends and made a lot of really long lasting relationships that spent a lot of fun. How do you become it like, what's the process? Because you said you started like when you were 18. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there like, Hey, I want to be the Queen like me for ST Patrick's Day. But okay, yeah, so is ages 18 to 28. Uh, any young lady of Irish ancestry never married. And then there's a contest held. Yeah, sorry, we can. And then there's a contest held a plumber's hall because those are the folks that actually put on the parade the last 61 years on. They're also the ones that died the river green, which is really great. Really fun. Yeah, And then it's just a wonderful, fun filled day with family and friends and representing the mole Katie clan. The serum Very excited. So how does the Mulcahy? Because I know when we talked to Lauren, like it meant so much to the family to be able to be the same Patrick's Day parade queen. What does it mean to your? Although that's a beautiful picture, we're missing my one other brother my brother Ryan, too. I have a 23 year old brother who is actually in the Marines, and then he's in, but pipefitters? Apprenticeship. So it was a wonderful day. It really means a lot where families, especially since the last five years, we've all been doing it together, so to represent them. And I have my mom and everything. It's just it's really great, and I'm really proud. So she just called and hit up like every part. I mean, she has to be on the phone. They have to be cutting out articles. Loves it. We've got some memory books and just be able to show my kids and my grandkids hopefully. So, yeah, so I retire. It is very important to our family's kind of things. Did you have, like, we saw you guys? I was very beetle last your worker across the street? Like, what kind of things do you have to do in order to get into the court like water? That contest or what? Yeah, so that picture is really funny. We actually stop traffic right over by the times and centers. So that was a lot of fun, but so the court members basically comes everything that I go to, they're gonna be in Mercedes convertibles in the print. So there's four girls we have. Four new girls have never been on it this year. And, uh, they're really great representation of the Irish community. And plumbers look, 1 30 a swell. So you get the carriage. They got a camera here, too. I'm so excited. I'm gonna have to My little cousins, Madison and Lily and the carriage with me and then my mom and my godmother. So really is a family affair. And to be able to have all of them with me, it's gonna be real. Mona's mom balling the entire tub. Would you have to be out of control? They have to take me out of that carrot bill to control myself. I know. I know. She's very proud on. And then something also really special is, um, the anniversary of the Easter rising. The 100 year anniversary for the Irish American Independence. So So you're celebrating that this year, And that's one of the great themes this year. So Yeah. Great. So I have a quick question. What other? What odd places do you wear your crown because, like like me. Maybe in my mind, I would wear it while I'm watching TV. Yes, absolutely. So the day I won, I'm pretty sure I fell asleep with the sash on on the ground. So I was just too excited to take it off. And so it was It was really fun. And every time I put the cape on and put the sash on, it's just surreal. I just I just feel it's such an honor to be able to represent my community. So you get advice to from other parade queens. Obviously, you're good friends with Lauren. But before that, you like, did you get some advice? It gets passed down? Yes. So the last five years, I've been on courts with, um, the last consecutive five queen. So all of them have become really close with me and very close with their families. And I think they were all just really excited for me to join the club of such a established women. And I learned so much from them at 19. It was better than any internship I could have had over being involved with parades. Yeah, s so sweet. That seems very well deserving. We showed your family the best. Enjoy every second of it. Thank you. Saw Mac this practice always at this. What is it now? The ST Patrick's Day Parade kicks up a noon Saturday at Columbus and Balbo do not miss this. The weather should be really nice to you.
