Postgame show.
We're on location here at the State Social House in West Hollywood.
We just had the first ever Lakers nation dot com Watch party.
It was an absolute blast, especially getting to see your Lakers pick up a huge win over the Milwaukee box.
Joining me tonight markets all this and my clothes.

What do we see tonight?
That was so great about this one.
I loved it.
How awesome was that?
W we actually won know that, but we have the Clippers on Sunday.
But let's talk about the Bucks tonight because this was, if anything was the defining moment for us to kind of show what we have.
We jump together the first time that we played them.
You know, it's kind of hit or miss.
Actually, last couple times we played them kind of hit or miss, but this is more of like the defining moment end of the season.
We both have the best records in the West and the East, and we kind of show them what we have to offer what we're gonna do to them if we meet them in the N B A Finals.
That's right.
This This was playoff quality basketball we saw.
And it was so great to see the Lakers step up because you know what?
Always for it, time and time again is what the Lakers don't be good teams.
What they just did.
They just beat the best team in the league right now.
Like it.
So they beat the best team and really everyone's saying in the N B a bit off the three ball.
They didn't make any shot tonight, didn't make anything in the first half.
We thought it was gonna change in the second half.
It really didn't.
And you know what?
It didn't matter.
They played playoff level intensity defense.
They were calling the game pretty tight, and it's still the Lakers still found a way to overcome Anthony Davis at a ball game.
I was saying that Anthony Davis is gonna try to impose his will in the second half.
He did exactly that.
He dominated the second half.
LeBron James kept his foot on the pedal and he told him he basically told the honest and stick you both.
This is Miami Beach.
I am That's whatthe you read on the body, 3% 18% for the game and they still still got the wind.
Incredible stuff, and a lot of it was on the defensive end.
Quick, let's dive into the stats.

What did you like about the Lakers defensive intensity?
That second half?
That's what I said.
They had to step it up.
They really had a buckle down, and he did the fact that we buckled down and they were able to carry that into that's third.
But the fourth is well, special.
That fourth quarter was crucial.
The fact that he did it really put a stranglehold on it and they held them together because that was my fear of anything.
You know, they say, fear the deer here, the Lakers because the fact that they actually put that stranglehold on track for a late.
But don't fear the bunks for the Lakers, because that's what we are, because the fact that we didn't put that stranglehold on them and should make other NBA teams out there a little bit more on warning and they should be on defense because we're coming for them.

It seems like he always seems to make the right play.
He's doing exactly what you need, and he doesn't foreshocks sometimes LeBron James, Anthony Davis.
They need guys to play a role and be comfortable in that role.
And maybe Hal Koosman has figured out a way to be comfortable in that role and be able to get on the court when it's time to close butt out.
So Russo, he checks his ego at the door, which is exactly why the fan base loves him.
He's gonna bring his intensity.
He doesn't need to take the game winning shots.
He doesn't need to do any of that, but when the ball is passed to him, he's ready and he's ready to push the pace and bring energy.
It's exactly what this team needed, especially late.
Yeah, he makes the big place when the Lakers need them.
He makes the smart play at the right time.
Gotta love it.
He's that hustle guy that's out there, absolutely killing it.
It's pretty appropriate.
The fact that Aris Krusa has that mama mentality is way Crusoe does step it up, especially in the right moments of the right time.
Come playoff time can be a lethal weapon that I have to register him called him this secret.

So, to be honest, I had no reaction to it whatsoever that joke him, Noah like, didn't tapes like, kind of like him into the ground already, like a long time ago?
What does he have to offer?
If anything, it's more like a petty move from the Clippers because it could.
I don't know.
It's more like they're just trying to pick a place that, you know, maybe could take the fouls maybe could try to match up with us, but clearly they're picking up moves or where they're making, they're they're sending up toe play us eventually in the future.
That's what they're doing.
So if anything, it's more like a compliment.
I must feel like it's they're doing out of fear, then, out of like being prepared for, like, the future.
Oh, sure, it's like why the Clippers were going after players that the Lakers wanted.
I couldn't get on their roster.
I was just playing, playing, keep away, showing that they are.
I've got to be a little bit worried about having their plan on doing all the petty moves, trying to buy the Forum.
And you know what I like about that form that hurt the Lakers.
They're just worried about beating the Bucks, though, is the first thing on the checklist.
And now the 2nd 1 in the final piece is gonna be going to beat them.

We didn't see him tonight, but where we'll start with you, Mark, where do the minutes ultimately come from?
In order to get Dion waiters on the floor.
You Little by little, we're gonna have to see some little minutes from certain players, you know, being I guess deducted.
I think it might be starting from coos.
Moe, I think you know, the more if Cosmo wants to be, you know, if he wants to send the floor unproductive, gotta step it up a little bit, because deal is gonna start taking those minutes.
And I mean, you know, that sister kind of shows they're just track record Deal could make it happen.
You know, he's known for making a shot.
He's known for being pretty good defensively, eyes that the best.
But he can also be effective.
So that's what we want.
Kuzma in order is for him to step into rotation or step up in the rotation.
He's kind of have to do that.
So, charisma, it's gonna be Dion.
And that's what he was hired for.
And hopefully we got to see that.
Just gonna see the example of what you know, looking forward to for the halftime so way his minutes have got to come from Rajon Rondo.
Okay, for anyone who watched Raja, Rajon Rondo was on there for maybe 10 or 11 minutes, and he stuck out like a sore thumb.
He essentially dictated two minutes of basketball and through the entire game, this game probably should have got out of hand.
At that point, they were 14 or 15 and he pushed it all the way in the single digits.
I think Kyle Kuzma had a major impact on tonight's game, even though he played pretty bad basketball in the office, that he was not very good.
But I thought his defensive rotations, some of his some of his defensive play in isolation was very good.
You don't even change exactly.
So I was able to say the course and check his ego like we're saying he's gotta figure out ways to impact this game.
He's mentioned it.
He's got to be better at other aspects of the game other than scoring.
If he wants to play on this team and of course we need his scoring in that third option.
But you know what He's still gonna get those minutes as long as he's doing this thing on the defensive.
Yeah, if Kyle Cruise, we can play defense.
He stays on the floor.
Rondo.
We saw two possessions in a row.
You and I were standing there running, running, took shots where we went.
What is he doing?
You, in fact, you had tonight.
Uh, yeah.
I'll try to remember exactly what it was.
You said something like this is like my I took my control.
Yeah, I was saying, basically, I was playing a game MBA to pay, and my little brother described the controller and played for like on Rondo would just run around taking jump shots.
And you're like, Do that.
This is not how you play the game.
And he was playing the game.
It was like a little kid was out there.
I didn't know what he was doing, and he's He's an accomplished player.
He's been playing at the highest level, so I had no idea what he was doing out there.
And you know what?
When it comes down to it to win a championship, you've gotta put the players on the floor that you can trust to do and say the course and impact the game without basically saying that I've got to be in the spotlight, which is Yeah, I will probably agree with that fact that I loved it.
You know, I love his past history, but the fact that we're at the president help now after, you know, scoot over and the next act come up.
And you know, the fact that the Lakers put the W it brings me joy brings me a lot of more confidence in the next coming games that we're gonna be having.
So, you know, I think we're going.
It's more W's let's do it.
Let's do it now.
And look, we're getting the comments coming in saying, Why do you guys hate running?
I don't I don't hate Rondo.
Rondo has his games where he's very good, where layoff Rondo shows up.
The game.
It's okay, See, was tremendous, right?

He also has games like this tonight, where he just makes poor decisions, decisions that you don't think a veteran should make.
So the question is, which runs or you're going to get.
I think Frank Vogel recognized early on that Rondo didn't have it tonight.
And so he cut his minutes and they did the right thing.
At some point, we're gonna be in a playoff game and run.
It was gonna make some big plays, and we're gonna say, Okay, there's the Rhonda we need to see.
We just don't see him consistently.
Yeah, I mean, you gotta play all the players that you can grow in expectation their teammates have to be Expect how you're gonna play, where you're gonna be standing, which type of shots you're gonna be taking Just won't all how you're gonna play the game on the defensive and offensive side of way really have no idea what Rajon Rondo is going to do tonight, Tomorrow, the next day.
Sometimes he's a great player and we see we see flashbacks and exactly who he waas in 2008 with Boston Celtics.
But then, all of a sudden, you're watching game tonight.
Spiritual single handedly change about small game for the worst.
And that's disappointing because I would liketo trust me, we would love to watch a great Rajon Rondo.
We'd rather see, because that's exactly what the team's been trying to acquire for this entire deadline.
You know what he hasn't been that players consistently.
And they're trying to figure out who that guys could use a Frank Vogel with the fact that he can, uh, no manage and also coach's team to whether at, you know, I had a life before against them and beginning.
But frankly, it's kind of shone and proven when he do should get a lot more confidence from your station because, uh, you know, I put all my faith in him and the fact that he's able to do what he's done, you know?
Hey, I'm confident I'm ready to go.
Let's finish this season strong and let's go.
Let's get this championship is get this ring.
Let's get this win Sunday first.

We're looking for playoff around noon, but we got it was pre season run this preseason runner that way today, but But you guys actually right.
Frank Vogel has made the right moves, and now it's all about getting the win on Sunday before we wrap things up.
What is it that needs to happen for the Lakers to get the wind carry on Sunday.
We have to find a way to get Caldwell poem.

He's gonna have to do that again on Sunday.
They're gonna be tested guarding big wings and they don't have just one.
They've got two dominant wings and they're gonna have to figure out a way to stop them.
All they gotta do is figure out a way to slow it down is gonna be another rugged game, but they're on short rest, so it's gonna be tough.
They're gonna have to be ready.

Aboutthe, I have a lot of faith in this team and especially the moves they're making.

And that's scary to other teams that are Lakers or the Lakers, and we have a history.
We have a track record.

And I was starting to feel like that was how I was gonna go But by the end, they wanted to rotate and save LeBron's energy so that he could guard the honest in the winning time.
The box were always going to go back, to be honest, because they've got to test him right now in the regular season box, I've got to figure out, Is he gonna be the guy that we go to when the game's on the line?
So they Lakers knew exactly where they were gonna go, so they sent their best defender and LeBron James when the winning time and he said, Go stop this man And he did it Absolutely.
You got the job done defensively.
The Romans from ending it with LeBron, has these games where he turns it on.
You go in.
You can't come soon enough because when LeBron hits this level, you get nto this guy's 35 he's pulling this amazing amazing the things that he's doing way that he shut down the owners today.
I think at this point LeBron made you run another shot to prove that he is still the best player in basketball and let him have it.
Let it let him do it.
Let him prove it.
