  • So you got a kid now?

  • How much late night I molest?

  • Can you handle?

  • Like, at what point have you hit your bis and then your waist?

  • Yeah, Well, do they Don't tell you about having a kid, Actually.

  • Is that the 1st 6 months?

  • Our prime West Coast watching, too?

  • Yeah, so But now you're going to have a second kid so I can watch more.

  • Unless that's the long story.

  • Short here.

  • By the way, Andrew, we'd be having kids coming up here on extra time.

  • Ah, from New York, New York.

  • You are listening to extra time driven by Continental from the A, T and T Endless Studios in Midtown Manhattan.

  • I'm angry with my partners in soccer.

  • Matt Doyle.

  • David Goss.

  • Charlie Davies, A normal Monday participant is in Turks and Caicos.

  • Uh, sorry, Charlie.

  • Help there.

  • I wish I'd known that I'd give him some guys to scout for me.

  • I got my list of what do you think that that flight was like for him?

  • A lot of raising his hands.

  • Hey, go to the bathroom.

  • Him or his sons?

  • I can't tell them.

  • We got a great email which will show to him.

  • Whatever it is, he shows up, which is he could get these adult diapers.

  • Oh, boy.

  • He'd be saying, Oh, boy.

  • Right in the first minute of the show.

  • I just want to say we got a new sponsor today.

  • Billy Forbes plays for Turks and Caicos.

  • San Antonio FC Legend.

  • I don't even know how to respond to that.

  • To stop.

  • You get to be perfectly frank with you that Yeah, that is That's That's something I kind of feel hungover this morning, guys.

  • Endless week to Sunday night.

  • You know, you get the invite to go out.

  • I don't get those anymore, Dad.

  • Life and whatnot.

  • But you get it that you got your friends you like.

  • This kind of sucks.

  • I'm going home.

  • That was Nashville.

  • Portland.

  • No offense.

  • Then somebody gets you to take a shot, and then Philly L A f c happens.

  • We're going to our winners.

  • We're gonna do our Adrian here.

  • Single lane is at 3 a.m. And you end up karaoke.

  • You're eating like me like 3 a.m. That food or halal corner corner card.

  • You know, wherever it is.

  • Yeah, this game we get extra wide talked about this before we get to anything else like this.

  • The biggest win of the weekend with these waters, You stayed up who didn't say You know what?

  • It's Sunday, and it's 11 p.m. And I got to go to sleep from the jump.

  • This I was like, every game has to be like this.

  • Please.

  • Somehow, even Elsie no.

  • Couldn't somehow make this game better, and it was still off the charts.

  • Incredible.

  • Yeah.

  • I mean, it just I'm tired.

  • I'm exhausted.

  • Okay.

  • 11 a.m. And my adrenaline is back.

  • Thanks to L A F C.

  • Philly.

  • Thank you.

  • You're welcome.

  • Thank you.

  • And Jack of godlessness.

  • Bliss nous I thought Jim Curtain's sanity, I think he said, indicating with him going into halftime, I thought it was the right statement, which was we're not scared.

  • We haven't played scared.

  • We came to, you know, go toe to toe punch for punch with L A f c.

  • They get full credit for that.

  • But what you just said of like, I want every game like this every l A F C game is like this.

  • And as MLS fans, I think we have to acknowledge or thank L.

  • A f C.

  • For choosing to play this way and play this way.

  • Game in and game out and they'll give up four goals and everyone say, Well, they can't do this anymore and they'll show up the next week and do it again.

  • They'll do it to the leg MX teams apparently as well.

  • Like What is this delay on?

  • Yeah, this is who l a f c is, and it's awesome.

  • It's so much fun.

  • Then you have to give a ton of credit to Philly for believing that they could go into this environment believing that they could go to toe with them and then doing it.

  • They took the lead three times.

  • Yeah, they probably should have zero, you know, one thing at a time, but they pressed high.

  • They tried to create turnovers.

  • They got numbers up into the attack when they had opportunities.

  • There was a spell right around the first Santo school where they were actually controlling possession than most of it was pressing and counter attack.

  • But they took guys one of you want.

  • I mean, Casper, she Bilko is a medical marvel.

  • The things he does with the body type he has.

  • Makes no sense.

  • Yeah, there's some moments when I want to tell Casper.

  • Should be he could he could fight a box for you could slide a Passover.

  • Absolutely.

  • Everyone in the box, please.

  • Sergio Santos Golazo left footed.

  • You know, Vermeer.

  • Maybe that was that was a Vermeer.

  • Should have done better on that.

  • That was L.

  • A goal.

  • Yeah, it was great.

  • Then validate.

  • Available off the free kick Ya.

  • He won't.

  • Surely that's where the baby is that peace, golden?

  • Oh, sure.

  • But then here is your moment and your call of the weekend yak of glass nous Looks like he's lining up for a shot at the centre back.

  • Jacob Blaise nous tous.

  • Oh, my goodness.

  • What on earth have we just seen are no region?

  • Sources have confirmed that it's Yacoub and then there's the business.

  • You have to do the up and down on television for thunderbolt.

  • I have no I'm asking Anders and get in our years under 30.

  • Santander's talk to whichever Norwegian, you know, because we destroyed transliterated Norwegian to Swedish.

  • Yeah.

  • I mean, this is the same language.

  • This is incredible.

  • So my favorite running up your like Nah, nah, Just like 45 yard, including Sue Holding who was like, he's not gonna shoot this.

  • Then it goes in and Jameer Montero goes arms up like he knew it was coming.

  • And then they run back and they're celebrating in that huddle.

  • And Castro, she Bilko, you can see is watching the big board the whole time.

  • That really just going like what just happened?

  • It is one of the all time great free kicks I that we're seeing in this week.

  • It's the ones that I think of is being like head and shoulders above or the deer Oh, wanna go off the galaxy and, like, five, I want to say where we have this great.

  • Like, we have a great video of it where you see the regular angle, and then you see it from, like, behind and above to the right, and then you see it again, like behind, like directly behind it.

  • Like every angle.

  • It just gets better for Carla.

  • Yeah, and then, um XL.

  • But the movement of the ball, it's about the power in the movement.

  • That's what this was about to.

  • Yeah.

  • Hey, how do you put that much power on the ball.

  • But then how do you get it to essentially?

  • Like, half the gold just gets eliminated in the course of flight premieres like Okay, I got this.

  • It's right.

  • I mean to have a second later.

  • Oh, I don't have this.

  • And oh, now it's by me.

  • I mean, it could it would have liked.

  • Drilled a hole in the concrete behind the net was still spinning, and it was frozen in place with the spin on it from hitting the net.

  • I mean, it was incredible.

  • And then, of course, you had no time to breathe, because why, like a minute rose?

  • And it was gross.

  • 69 seconds later.

  • Nice.

  • Very nice girl.

  • Very nice.

  • Extremely soccer.

  • God in the 69th minute.

  • Brendan answer.

  • Very nice.

  • Mason.

  • 3 to 1 that any cigarette two minutes later.

  • You know, Guy Bradley basically said this was like Red Bulls esque room Philly and I thought this this season's very interesting for Philly because last year was their biggest step forward ever.

  • It was like this kind of coming out party of what we're doing, what we're building.

  • It's working both in the academy and now sort of what I want to call them.

  • Sort of like Moneyball signings.

  • But the style now is different.

  • So you had this high, and then it takes bravery to do this, and it takes some look job security to to come in and say, Okay, we're gonna switch it up now.

  • We're gonna be a pressing team.

  • What did you see tackling from them?

  • Because, Dave, you kind of touched on it.

  • There.

  • They had the moments where they dominated possession.

  • But it really wasn't about that Jim Curtain.

  • It was about trying to dominate 50 fifty's and trying to make sure that l A f c the teams that bunker against L.

  • A f c are kind of shooting themselves in the foot.

  • Because once you let L.

  • A f.

  • C get comfortable completing passes, especially in the attacking third, there eventually gonna combine so well that they open you up and look, It's not like this was a defensive masterclass from Philadelphia.

  • They gave up three goals, but they never let Like, Job number one was never letting L.

  • A.

  • F.

  • C get comfortable passing the ball like that and then having I'm blanking on the name of their new demon.

  • Martinez is good, who is already a filly legend, like temporary suitors in his face after getting kicked like he played for the Phillies in 1973 when I was like having thank you stuffed him, him, Montero and Ah and Bedoya their their balance was perfect in central midfield.

  • In terms of one, protects one challenges.

  • All in like that.

  • That's the whole defensive game plan is one protects one challenges.

  • One protects one challenges and, like you have to do it all as a team.

  • I thought going into this, I thought that the two weak points for Philly we're obviously gonna be Matt really, who's 20 year old backup left back and, like he's replacing the guy who I thought was best or at worst, second best left back in the league last year in Chi Wagner, Um, and then Brennan Aaronson.

  • Not because I think Brendan's air, Aaronson Not good is that I thought last year I mean, he was soft.

  • He didn't get into these challenges.

  • He was not about pressuring the ball.

  • He was not a physical presence at all.

  • And then he was not a guy who completed players in the box and in this one, like I was texting with it.

  • And you know that that slacker that you see me, Yeah, like guys.

  • Berenson's out there being physical, like he's finding space is off the ball, and he's doing the bread and Aaronson things that you like.

  • He's really clever.

  • He combines well, but it's like he's also like laying shoulders into people like winning the ball high King transition moments and then getting that third goal for Philly.

  • So it was.

  • It was just like, Okay, Phillies legit.

  • I have to throw this in here from the mailbag Vince Smith in South Jersey, which is sort of the perfect union E mailer for us.

  • I said they like disappointing Week one to the union, but they gave L.

  • A F C a scare.

  • He loves Aaronson.

  • No signs of sophomore slump El Brujo, which I was trying to throw in there.

  • That's Martinez, his nickname, which is like incredible Mafioso, he says.

  • An absolute bugger from glistens.

  • Total team performance against arguably one of the best endless sides in league history, I would say probably the best side animal s history.

  • I think this is a legit playoff team.

  • But is it reasonable to expect them to contend for first in the East?

  • This is one of those.

  • Hey, Joseph Martinez is out.

  • Do we have a chance?

  • Does this filly team Dave have that sort of potential to you?

  • Or is it still like, Hey, let's just let's keep it realistic.

  • This was a high point.

  • No, I think for this year my biggest question mark was the demon position because you got rid of my junior in which made sense because you're gonna change the way you played.

  • But Jose Martins, but also super risky at the same time.

  • And Jose Martinez doesn't have a ton of profiling.

  • Actually, I'd heard that it was more of a filly to signing this year.

  • You bring in Mattei montage or a bitch.

  • We right there who doesn't have a high profile as well.

  • Warren Carvel, who has been solid in his MLS career but has a ceiling toe what he can do.

  • And that's kind of what you saw.

  • I think against Dallas, one was feeling their way out.

  • I thought the balance that Doyle talked about was off in that game that Toya was too wide for a lot of it, which left gaps in front of core ball.

  • And it pulled Montero even further across the field and they struggled at times.

  • And then Martinez comes in and he can cover the ground that you need him to cover.

  • He's winning tackles everywhere, and he's clean enough with that first touch to allow the guys who are good on the ball to get going forward.

  • The purpose of changing the style they played was to have a higher ceiling.

  • Was what they did last year with the money that they spend was never going to be the best team in MLS.

  • They just couldn't get there.

  • But with this style, with the way that they scout with the young players, that they have mean they could run all day.

  • And what what?

  • Doyle talked about making midfield difficult, breaking things up front seat.

  • That's what the Galaxy did last year in El Trafico, and they ran out of gas 35 minutes in because they're not 20 sold.

  • And so then you saw this filly team.

  • If they can continue to believe in the styling grow, they've got depth at most positions in their system.

  • That's quality already.

  • Marry all starting to games.

  • Four.

  • Chi Vagner Jack Elliott, who was a full time starter last year, coming off the bench now because he was away for a lot of preseason and they've got other options there.

  • And that's that's good for Philly because Mark McKenzie is gonna be a qualified Absolutely.

  • You have those three guys that can rotate and you have faith.

  • And also there's no reason not to believe that if they can stick to this style and continue to grow that they could contend at the top of these.

  • How about this?

  • Let's before we move on and get to our winners here.

  • This game was that good, Honestly, go watch the condensed game.

  • If you haven't watched it, go watch the full game if you can find it.

  • The kid's games on the endless app Carlos Vela hit the 50 gold mark.

  • Can we just have Ah, we do this all the time.

  • We're asking people.

  • Is he the best player in MLS history?

  • We have a moment to talk about every week, whether it's against Leone or it's the chip last week or now it's the free kick goal or it's just every moment he gets on the ball and you just think nobody can stay in front of this guy.

  • And even if they do, he has the touch.

  • The body controlled the balance, the movement to make you basically disappear.

  • I mean, this is It's a pleasure.

  • It's It really is a pleasure.

  • I can't think of another player.

  • Except maybe recently, at least past 10 years Prime Sebastian Giovinco, who just sort of took over games and every single moment you knew they could do it and it was just basically their choice.

  • Is he gonna decide to do it at this moment?

  • Carlos Vela, 50 goals, massage status.

  • He assists two.

  • It's the entirety of his effect.

  • And I think about him in this way.

  • Okay, we talk about transfer fees.

  • What he cost $6 million my rent.

  • Yeah, something $6 million.

  • Are you kidding me?

  • I could buy a brownstone in Brooklyn.

  • You lucky would be lucky to be like you don't even start that conversation up again.

  • But it's not just about the money that paid for him.

  • It's about the money.

  • He's gonna make them on the back in because Diego Rosie without Carlos Vela is not this Diego see like Edward at West without this Carlos Villa is not this Edward out West that he is like the ultimate level of both performance on the field, but ultimately think what LFC want to be, which is kind of a juggernaut.

  • As for a style of play and results go, but also a juggernaut in the wider market where they can be just sort of this talent factory and he's the center of it.

  • He's the center of the universe, and it's so are you saying that this should be the model before DP balance for MLS teams like Go out and get your Vela or your Joe Vinko or your Lodeiro?

  • Right?

  • A guy he's in the prime of his career, and Pozuelo might be that way low and who is legitimately excellent, Um, but is not going anywhere like he's like, this is this is where he wants to spend the last 678 years of his career, and then you probably have to put Joseph in that convo.

  • Now, Joseph, I mean, resigned.

  • He has gotten to that point, but he wasn't that type of player when they got him right?

  • But there's no question terms of quality Joseph in there.

  • And now it seems like future.

  • Yeah, he's in Atlanta United player like where you're going with that, But I think it's maybe a little too simple, because I think the goal in the DP slots should always be to go out and get a game changing player in their prime.

  • Who makes all the players around that.

  • But what about a franchise changing player?

  • Because if you can, like, there's not a great example of this.

  • But like, let's say that Albert Rusnak was this player, okay?

  • And RSL got him for whatever they got him for, and he was making everybody so much better.

  • And you could then sell Savary know for eight million instead of two million.

  • And then you could, you know, sell Cory Baird for three and 1/2 1,000,000 instead of a 1,000,000.

  • Like, isn't that what you're saying is the model of how you spend, which is, I think, to an extent, what Inger Miami's trying to do, right?

  • He sorrow is the guy that stays and he's the guy you're building around, and he's supposed to make Pellegrini and Carranza better on the and the belief.

  • And I think up front would be work cut out for him on.

  • But we're gonna When you bring them in, we're going to sell you.

  • And when you do that, then you bring the next guy back through.

  • Which is Brian Rodriguez right now and for Atlanta.

  • I think that was one of the reasons that kept Joseph was l'm Iran and Joseph.

  • We're all gonna leave, And then what were they built around?

  • And I think l A.

  • F c has gotten a write in that Vella makes guys around him better.

  • You can also build a competitive roster because you know he's gonna be there next year, where it's hard for other teams if you buy three young guys to say this is who we are in two years, So we want to get a fullback who stays and doesn't go as high because he's gonna be playing around this guy for the rest of his career.

  • This is the way we shape our team.

  • So this is what we're looking for.

  • A demon.

  • If you don't know who that team's gonna be in three years LF she doesn't have to be solved, it guys every Yeah, just go out and get your own 26 of those guys.

  • And I guess that's why I said it was maybe a little bit too simple.

  • Because if you're RSL, you probably are attracting Carlos Vela.

  • Like, if you're Kansas City, they've come out and said it You're not attracting that guy.

  • But maybe that's what a fleet Gutierrez?

  • Yeah, kind of is in a different weapon.

  • And I don't even need Felipe a good year.

  • Apparently not.

  • Apparently not Carlos Vela.

  • Thank you for all the moments you given us and will give us lfc Philly House.

  • We respect Gabby Kingda.

  • Yes, we do.

  • We will.

  • You know, I was probably there May.

  • Well, what is that?

  • Was waiting for the drop every time we mentioned it was for the dry Lacombe.

  • Valka.

  • Okay, let's get to our winners of week to David.

  • Get us started.

  • I have to go first.

  • Yeah, you're top of the list.

  • I make the rundown.

  • There's literally your name, Colon.

  • And then the name of the team that you say is the winner.

  • Okay, let's be real.

  • Okay, let's start over Let's do our winners of Emma last week to David.

  • You go first.

  • Where is Oh, I say sporting KC?

  • What a coincidence That way actually did a perfect you could have given me the You're like, You're like Brian Rodriguez a little bit.

  • He set you up perfectly with my class.

  • No, no interest in is this, I say Sporting KC Just emotional alone.

  • Your first game at home after a tough year, the guy you spent a ton of money on shows up and not just like scores.

  • A goal has a crazy assist, Meghan.

  • Guys pumping the crowd up after other players goals like he was everything gone in celebration and like like I watch, I'd never usedto watch for that.

  • But after you know working with Bobby for coming, it's like I watch for that.

  • So they got everything they wanted.

  • They should be Houston at home.

  • That's a reality, but they jumped all over them, smoked him.

  • I think Houston has a 0.6 expected goals like they weren't even in the game.

  • You've still got this midfield that's silly coming together, but Roger Espinoza it looks like he's about to have Yeah, you guys forgot about me.

  • I was done and I'm gonna have a killer.

  • But also some of that, too.

  • Where there were moments last year really is like running, trying to recover.

  • I'm like, Oh, no chance.

  • He can't.

  • He's gonna get nowhere close to this play.

  • And yesterday he's stopping the ball like he's back stopping the ball.

  • Not not bad turnovers and bad areas.

  • Which was their theme.

  • Yeah.

  • So they've cut down on the turnovers.

  • They also have because of Gabby Kenya.

  • And because of Ah, Gianluca Buco.

  • They're five deep in central midfield now.

  • So Peter Vermes should be able to rotate these guys if he's asking L E.

  • A and Espinosa to play 2500 minutes again.

  • I don't think this is going to last, but through 180 minutes it's returns.

  • I promise there's no Felipe Bigger here is yet for them.

  • If they have no Sorry, my mouth is off.

  • Sorry, I'm good.

  • I'm here on the way.

  • The depth is sort of the difference.

  • Juror so comes in.

  • Had a gold called off.

  • That should have stood by the way police owes Goal should not have Still, he was upset.

  • He was offside on that play, but the goal he created for who was the guy Baginda.

  • He starts it 60 yards from goal in his own half.

  • He gets the ball.

  • Two defenders close on him.

  • He way to beat, for them both to react.

  • And then he rolls the ball under himself, spins the defenders, charges upfield, lays it off and keeps running into the box for the assist.

  • That's what you want, and quite honestly, I didn't know if he was gonna be that type of player for them.

  • He's done a lot for achieve us, But you never watched achieve escape and said, This guy's dominating the dream and everything's built around him.

  • Yeah, sorrow was more that guy when they won the title that he was, he was that guy.

  • It's against Houston, but it was better than it was the week before.

  • And for Casey.

  • That's what you want us.

  • Let me ask you about Houston, because this is largely the same team that to miss the playoffs two years in a row.

  • They've given up about 100 20 goals over that time span, and that again largely the same team that just trotted out the same guys.

  • What is for you guys like, what is the thought process there that this could work?

  • We have been like a large data set that says you're stretching.

  • It doesn't the bands of logic there.

  • I think I think you could come into this year and say the same about Montreal, right?

  • And they've been better than they were the last few years because they took a specific approach.

  • I think they're building a platform to grow off of.

  • But the idea was, we're gonna be tougher to break down, and this fits our skills a little better.

  • And Montreal's been good this year in Houston.

  • I don't know who they are still, and I'm not gonna say Try to press and and that was a disaster and that's what he does.

  • I almost said that that midfield, that's what I was just gonna say is Don't even look at the back line like start ahead of the back line and then you get when you look at the back line, cover your eyes.

  • I like Houston control.

  • It's tough, it's tough.

  • And look, they don't have Albert the lease so that like they can't really threaten anybody right now.

  • Morrow.

  • My notice is not going to do it on his own.

  • And I look, I think memo is good.

  • He had some moments that was good, but he's like he's like a good, solid start, right?

  • Right.

  • Dharma Cantero I am of the opinion that, like last year, kind of showed where his limitations where they will be.

  • It's darling Kim Terra's like Isil senior.

  • Bring him on for the final 30 minutes, you know, which is what they did.

  • Yeah, in this game.

  • But you were 430 down at that point, it makes it a little bit hard.

  • Ramos has some stuff, but I would say everything.

  • I agree with everything you're saying, and there's nothing player wise that you can say they're better than they were.

  • Everything has to come from system, believe, coach, whatever it is.

  • If you're looking at this roster, do you start to try to do what the Rapids did this time last year like Okay, like we'd spent too much on these veterans who are like not going to work out.

  • Let's try to find some distressed assets around the league, lets you know, work the margins and trust in our coaching staff to build those players up and to turn them into higher later are.

  • But they're much younger than Colorado Waas are they?

  • I mean, you talk.

  • Tomas Martinez may notice the least, like Mrs Martinez.

  • Just 25 not once, but she was 29.

  • Like talking about guys in different states, Thomas Martinez has not once looked like even an average MLS number 10.

  • Yeah, he's not a D p.

  • A.

  • I don't even think it's just a starter.

  • Well, I don't think he's a 10.

  • I think he should play deeper.

  • He doesn't play defense.

  • Maybe, but I think that what you're doing, he doesn't cover ground.

  • You want to give up more goals.

  • Navy.

  • That'd be fun.

  • I think they could play like what you're doing here is something, and what they've got to be doing is sort of like long term planning for the next three years.

  • That's what you should be doing.

  • We have a new head coach.

  • You're trying to change sort of the soul of the club.

  • Very long term planning should be the academy.

  • That's everything, Thanks.

  • That's what I was just about to say but you interrupted is that you should be planning on how to get the most out of you.

  • Remember?

  • Remember, he was saying he doesn't have a brand.

  • Exactly that has the room get the most out of me.

  • The assets you have scared what you can cultivate.

  • That's gonna take time for Tab Ramos.

  • But in the meantime, it's like exactly you're saying it's like you said in the short term, why keep playing the same guys?

  • I don't disagree.

  • That's why.

  • Maybe you go and, like, shuffle the deck a little bit.

  • I think they've got to find a way to re sign Albert the lease.

  • I wouldn't know.

  • I think you got it.

  • You can keep Albert the Lease and Selma notas because I think Christian Ramirez is a starting caliber center for it.

  • Maybe take what you make off of the Minotaur sale and plow that into the into the roster.

  • Info is Ramirez.

  • If if tabs hell bent on pressing, is Ramirez a starting center forward for him?

  • Can you be hell bent on pressing?

  • If you have those midfielders, I don't know.

  • Now we're gonna find out here.

  • Can I just throw one more little note in here before we move on to Doyle's winner.

  • I think Carrie Shelton has played awesome quite well.

  • Yeah, to start this season, and he is a handful at wing.

  • It kind of reminds me of an ideal day.

  • Damn, I knew, You know you're going to try to and you're gonna drag me for it.

  • But like the old CJ Sapong, nobody can.

  • Once he gets on the ball, you can't get him off it.

  • And he's turning everybody and then basically dominated any fullback.

  • He's choosing the right passes now, too.

  • I think he's top five in, run in, ground covered and like, explosive sprints so far, and it's really fun to watch.

  • And by the way, somehow Johnny Russell's like third or fourth fiddle now.

  • And he is just a monster there, like three or four times a game where you just have to cover your eyes.

  • And just like I hope that defender never sees that clip ever again.

  • All right, Doyle, here is your winner.

  • What is it?

  • The Super Draft.

  • Everybody wants to write off the Super Draft every year.

  • See the joy in your I love it.

  • The contrarian in me loves that Robbie Robinson started, picked up a secondary assist on into Miami's gold, and he was awesome.

  • He was like he was dominating that that D C center back pairing of Birnbaum and poor Briana, who was, like, look washed, but then injury.

  • Right before that, you just throw it out there for Rio.

  • Let's go.

  • The fingers crossed, dropped and said it didn't look good.

  • It did not look at Robinson looked impressive.

  • His teammate Dylan Neal is started on the right wing in that 3433421 But like that, wasn't it?

  • Yeah, it was.

  • It was a much better pastor than the other options.

  • And you looked having three at the back.

  • Meant that, like the defense of concerns, weren't as huge about him.

  • I thought he was very good.

  • Ryan repose.

  • So the fourth off overall pick he came on for Vancouver and that win at L.

  • A had the secondary assist on the only goal of the game look quick, decisive in his movements and, like he has touch on the ball when he passes, help them break out.

  • When l A was throwing numbers.

  • Yeah, I was I was really impressed with Raposo.

  • Uh, then who else?

  • Ah, Henry Kesler started again at centre back for Ah, New England made what I thought everybody thought should have been the game winning play when he just completely muscled Robert Barrett off the ball and then played Brandon Buy in on the overlap.

  • Absolutely, perfectly.

  • Justin Ren IX Miss Decider.

  • But Kessler has looked very, very good through two games.

  • Patrick Siegrist started again for the Red Bulls.

  • Wasn't great, but on the road got employ his name saying his single name.

  • What?

  • The super Draft pick of the week.

  • Another winger in the stable for Toronto FC.

  • But they threw him out there against against a N Y C F C, and he got the better of Anton Tyner home.

  • Who I think we all agreed, was the best right back in this league last year.

  • Attract like he was kind of lost in transition moments defensively, especially.

  • But like every time he got on the ball and then in like, simple combination moments in the attacking third, he was devastating.

  • It was fun, like it was a good week for the superstar.

  • I saw a quote from him and It's such an amazing quote.

  • Quote.

  • Soccer is awesome.

  • I just love playing it.

  • It gives me confidence.

  • It's just pure.

  • Yeah, that is so pure and wonderful to get that game winning goal.

  • And they've said from the start, he's He's been great.

  • Your guys Tsubasa Endoh Maybe has some.

  • Well, Sebastian was injured.

  • It was, but he's got a child.

  • I'm sorry, Theo.

  • Everyone at this table Char's my guy.

  • You talk about him, you're more.

  • You could get out of my face.

  • I was texting TSC front office saying, I like that draft pick and they're responding with who also went to BlackRock Word.

  • Jack Harrison came from as well as Jacob Staffenberg dropping the knowledge like Endo, Chappelle, Berg, Nick Daley own Piatti Gallardo.

  • Well, those 1st 4 were her.

  • I think I came out her, but like it's just like they have so many wingers in that in that well, anyway, it was all just didn't have that.

  • You said that wasn't that wasn't a thing.

  • There were no Yeah, All right, here's my winner.

  • Colorado Rapids baby had that big build up a full week.

  • They're just banging the drum.

  • We're coming home.

  • We're coming home.

  • Good crowd.

  • Crowd saw win units.

  • Anomaly.

  • He's a baller.

  • Been hearing all preseason.

  • Good left foot.

  • Really good on the dribble.

  • His shot we saw was very good as well.

  • This is what you want from a home opener.

  • Your DP scores and then you get a late winter from the ledge.

  • The MLS Cup winner back in the day.

  • Drew Maur set pieces, set pieces, set pieces.

  • Doyle still can't stop these guys two in two weeks, and William Yarbrough signed, which is random and awesome, too.

  • Well, the only reason they were so good at set pieces.

  • It's pricey, pricey.

  • May his delivery.

  • Who's that I had in my notes?

  • The assistant coach.

  • They've been shouting out sharp Christian, your goalkeeper coach.

  • And, like, apparently, they're set piece coaches.

  • Well, again, I said this all off season.

  • They had 17 70 schools last year, and I wrote like five reviews about the rabbits being like I like the way they played.

  • Robin Fraser seems like a good coach.

  • No way they're scoring 17.

  • Set his goals again.

  • They have to in two weeks.

  • Um, they look unstoppable.

  • Any time there's a restart, I thought from open play.

  • They did pretty well, but they were lacking a little bit of touching a little bit of polish.

  • But that's why you go out and you get a number 10 DP like Eunice Nam Lee because that guy could get you a goal out of nothing, which is what he did.

  • I would like to see this group when Venezia gets back, because Nicholson I think he's played while they like what they've gotten.

  • But it's not the same ability to break that last Nickel simply has like, yeah, but goals and nine assists, in your view, trashed on Robin.

  • Phrases coming through that wall take you out so I don't want to be out on the latter.

  • I did not want to take that risk, but Ben is.

  • They will bring more quality, I think.

  • Expect a goal.

  • They were only at about one, but they dominated possession against Orlando.

  • But like so it moves.

  • So you only get credit for expected goals if you actually get a shot off.

  • And that was the problem with both Nicholson and she is Tiana Shiki is that they were constantly getting into good spots and the final pass quality You know, I'm going to say Jonathan Lewis should have been out there for more than a minute and 1/2 but maybe they figured with Louis going off to Olympic qualifying, let's run with the guys who are starters, because that's what we're gonna have to win with for the next month anyway.

  • Quick shoutouts to Shelby, More wife of Drew.

  • More.

  • Who put out a text conversation between them at this game in which two more goes, I have to stay late because I gotta do this man of the match thing and she says, Okay, cool, congrats.

  • I'm so proud of you.

  • And then the next message is a few hours later when he says, I'm locked out of the house.

  • Get in, huh?

  • Of course, the's like these things work.

  • The spouse has to shame the other person.

  • It's like very typical ring.

  • Your key drew more war.

  • Get that knew where you get the code.

  • Those garage has the code that's normal in a code on my There's Our winners for Week two and wounds fans who've been feeling extremely spicy on Twitter all weekend and more specifically after they dropped a five to win on Santa's, his head on the road there.

  • Second road win in the Western Conference so far this year, probably thinking he has never get us any credit unless Adrian Heath blows you up.

  • You don't want to talk about it in less dot com.

  • This is all a sham, and that's where you're wrong.

  • Because we invented the Adrian Heath gaffer off the week for this exact reason.

  • Congratulations, Adrian Heath.

  • We don't have a number.

  • That's like the first time in a long time.

  • Adrian Heath, you are our gaffer of the week.

  • Congratulations.

  • Five to somebody should probably mark Michael Para in the 18 year bark.

  • San Jose.

  • Somebody talks all had in wide open opportunity as well off a corner that he and finished.

  • And then they gave up a penalty.

  • Hello, Caches First half was, and this is kind of self inflicted by, like, full credit t Minnesota United for taking advantage of everything the quakes were doing wrong, but cash is first half like he didn't mark like on the ah on the first goal, he gave up the penalty by grabbing.

  • I've grabbing.

  • I mean, dude, Andy Rios did it last week to Josie.

  • Yeah, but And then he stood and watched.

  • Stood watch.

  • I don't think that's a Robin.

  • Looked like this.

  • This I do not like Florida.

  • Youngworth should be back in that line.

  • We're going to have a conversation, perhaps quickly, about San Jose later in for teams that alarm bells should be ringing Minnesota little bit.

  • Let's go, Yang Grey Goose.

  • Just serving.

  • He's a baller.

  • Luisa Maria, the Steph Curry of Major Marie Rose.

  • Everybody off!

  • It's in our way, but by the way, have courage.

  • Really.

  • Countdown is on.

  • He's going to two and two games for me.

  • If he doesn't hit 40 it's a failure.

  • But he's gonna do it so I don't even care.

  • Maria for 40 shooting from midcourt.

  • I don't even care.

  • Guys out here bawling should have the P K.

  • That's that actually hurt.

  • It did well, but it kind of didn't her because in Robin would got in there.

  • And he's been getting a lot of stick for not scoring or assisting on.

  • Literally.

  • He just hasn't done either of those things.

  • My mom, Maria, it's kind of like, you know, when the striker sees his teammate that needs a pick up.

  • You could have this p a.

  • I couldn't let him take it.

  • Luiza Maria was like, I know you need this.

  • So I'm going to set this up for the rebound and and then you're gonna get the rebound.

  • We're gonna be all good, but they really 25.

  • They blitz them in the first half.

  • They saw that the second half fairly simply for Minnesota.

  • The perfect road trip to start the year now can they?

  • With expectations coming home with teams now seeing what they've done, can they continue if you had to choose between the three teams at the top of the Western Conference that are currently perfect Sporting Kansas City, Colorado Rapids, Minnesota United.

  • Who has Minnesota because they have the best defense.

  • You didn't even wait for the question.

  • Didn't even wait for the question.

  • Appreciate it.

  • Like Michael Box all struggled when he first came into this league, but he has improved markedly over the past year and 1/2.

  • Part of that is playing, you know, behind Ozzy Alonso on young Gregor's part of it is playing next Iike a para.

  • But like, that's fine being playing better soccer when you're surrounded by better players is a skill in a valuable one, so there are no weak links in that spine.

  • They have depth because of Hasani dots in there.

  • Um, you know they're centerback.

  • Depth isn't nearly as proven, but I think Brett Column's given them good minutes.

  • I do think they upgraded a goalkeeper this offseason.

  • Um, they're full backs are arguably two of the best in the league at their respective spot on super draft and yet shadow Super Draft again.

  • They don't have a ton of depth at the fullback spots, so you know, maybe they need to address that.

  • But like if that's what you're looking at, and clearly they're more difficult to break down year over a year, Um, and then they're going on the road, and any team that comes up field against them, they are annihilating on the counterattack, out on set like beds and identity.

  • Give me that team.

  • All right, takes Minnesota there.

  • Uh, we'll say, there was a moment when Kevin Molino sat down on the field where everyone held their breath in Minnesota.

  • They still still have.

  • They still have the cone like Jacko needs.

  • That is like they spent $4 million on him.

  • He's not even making the game.

  • They roster.

  • So at some point, we're gonna see that kid play next five games for gas.

  • So I'm just looking at him right now.

  • I'm kind of trying to extrapolate here home against the Red Bulls next Sunday, then their home against Montreal, then their home against San Jose, then their home against the Galaxy.

  • And then they're at Houston.

  • It is not inconceivable.

  • I'm not gonna say they're gonna win all those games.

  • Come on, that be insane.

  • But it's not inconceivable that they're going to be at the week seven mark sitting atop the Western Conference and thinking we got a decent lead at the top.

  • That is, that is well within reason for Minnesota at it.

  • So congratulations, Adrian Heath, are Adrian Heath.

  • Gaffer of the week.

  • You know, we had to do it.

  • Hey, producer wonders.

  • How many minutes did we wait to talk about Atlanta united?

  • Can you get oh, while you're doing that kind of shadow?

  • Happy birthday, Derek.

  • Turkey also apologize for trashing him for not setting the jersey, which he sent me and I just couldn't find about shoes.

  • Promise me.

  • Oh, yeah.

  • Uh, yeah.

  • I don't know, Durkee, if you're listening, wants those shoes.

  • There's a little happy birthday present.

  • Okay?

  • It's been 36 minutes, and we've managed to not talk about Atlanta United.

  • So I got the itch.

  • We got to do it.

  • Their first game without Joseph Martinez.

  • A 21 winter line.

  • They beat Cincinnati at home.

  • They got Kendall lost in defending in space against Petey Martinez.

  • There was only one way that was gonna end.

  • Marco made a nice run.

  • Petey had two assists.

  • Barco had a golden assist.

  • Emerson Hyman second great second, nice game in a row.

  • Had a nice performance from their academy center center back.

  • George Campbell.

  • Good.

  • Good, will you?

  • We don't know about, You know, they didn't change.

  • They didn't change their formation, which is right.

  • I agree.

  • They like Petey and don't run yet.

  • Let's see how it goes.

  • Petey Embargo Clearly more comfortable playing underneath.

  • Ah, true center forward Now Adam John is not going to be Joseph Martinez.

  • You never shot.

  • He was fine.

  • No shots.

  • He made the right runs.

  • Its they cited J J.

  • Williams.

  • Maybe J.

  • J.

  • Williams compete in wins that job.

  • He's got a lot of talent.

  • Um, they were, I think, pretty willing to get out in transition.

  • Brooklyn in had a couple of nice passes, initiating.

  • They're fine.

  • You beat Cincinnati at home.

  • That's what you're supposed to do.

  • Rosario made his debut as well.

  • Yes, it's big wearing the number nine, which is weird.

  • There was with Ezekiel Barco.

  • I still have so much hope for because there are like 67 times a game where he is sort of on the precipice.

  • God did that run.

  • He's ignored for the grip it and rip maze game a car Right now.

  • It was awesome.

  • That was awesome.

  • But then they were like the moments where it's a three V one and you could just see his brain like melt down and really did just play the ball of space.

  • Just kick the ball for words.

  • So I'm hoping for a man.

  • I still think that 20 golden assist combined barren T.

  • But everything we've seen so far this year from Emerson Hyman is better than what we saw last year.

  • Just in combination.

  • Play confidence to be an option all the time.

  • Play the ball into tight spaces surprised me how good he's been, and that's what they get.

  • They need an upgrade somewhere else from what they were.

  • Ancient team.

  • Yeah, and Cincinnati at home.

  • So take it with a grain of salt Foot Lake.

  • Don't, uh What's that?

  • Overblown.

  • We're gonna win some or this next week because you made a car.

  • There's a chance this gets I mean, alarming.

  • White gets hurt thing on the back line from a forward from us.

  • L getting injured.

  • It could get ugly.

  • Copa America migh

So you got a kid now?
