After completing their preseason in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Philadelphia Flyers are headed to the Czech Republic, where they'll open their regular season against the Chicago Blackhawks as part of the NHL Global Siri's.

It will be a special experience for Jacob or a check right winger who was born about 20 miles west of Prague and is excited for an NHL game in his native land.

What are these few days probably mean leading up to this.

What they really mean for me that I get to see my family and friends.

So when the flyers return from Europe, 19 year old Joel Farabee will be sent to the American Hockey League to join the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

As for 31 year old Chris Stewart, he'll stay in limbo.

Is tryout with the Flyers, technically still continuing his hope, still alive of eventually securing a roster spot this season and returning to the NHL?

You know, there's a lot of things are going on there out of my control right now, so I'm kind of just focusing on one day at a time and I say I'm not playing tonight, so there's gonna be a little bit of disappointment, But, you know, I'm still here and I'm gonna do it everything.

Everybody lives there.

My sister, my parents, my grandma, uncles and everyone nieces, cousins, You know, I always come back home, and it's a good feeling.

I played a few games few times for you world championships in front of Czech fans, and there's nothing better than that.

So I'm gonna enjoy it.

As much as I can focus on a team win on, we'll see what's gonna happen.

The Flyers hotel lobby makes for a tranquil setting on the morning of the team's opener, a stark contrast to the controlled chaos that will rain on the ice in a few hours.
