It's never been the most exciting car on the road, but that does not mean it's without virtue.

In fact, Toyota has delivered some 46 million examples since this thing first went on sale back in 1966.

But you know what?

This is the brand new 2020 sedan model, which was just unveiled in Here are five important things you should know about this car because, well, everybody loves a list video, right?

Well, yes, sure.

Perhaps the most important thing about this car is that, like practically every other offering in the automakers lineup 2020 Corolla sedan is built on the Toyota New global architecture.

That's TNG A.

For short.

This means it should be stiff, refined, spacious and efficient and exactly like it's more boldest stablemate passengers are treated to the same upscale interior enhanced seating position and greater refinement.

As with five door, this car's roof and hood are lower, plus its tracks.

Both front and we're are wider than the outgoing models.

But one key dimension did not change.

Despite writing on the same 106.3 inch wheelbase as its predecessor, 2020 Corolla sedan looks far more interesting.

Curiously, that hub hub span is 2.4 inches longer than in the hatchback model, which is an unexpected engineering change.

Lower, leaner.

And they're saying, even attractive.

This fresh faced car can be dressed up with alloy wheels spanning up to 18 inches.

Adaptive front headlights are also on the menu, as is a brand new paint color and iridescent you told Celestine Rae.

Metallic between the front fenders to different engines will be offered.

L L E and Excel E models will feature an improved 1.8 leader unit that should be good for 139 horsepower and £126 in store sport.

Here s e N excess e grades will feature a zesty to leader dynamic Force four cylinder brandishing both pork and direct fuel injection, and it's rated at a much more invigorating 169 ponies and 151 units of twist.

As for transmissions, a dynamic shift CVT with a physical first gear is offered, and it should provide a more direct driving feel along with laudable fuel efficiency.

It's standard with 1.8 litre engine but for more driver engagement, a six speed manual gearbox is also offered, one that even features automatic rev matching for buttery, smooth downshifts every time it's available with two liter power plant, as is the CVT, because you can't not offer an automatic in America.

Finally, all 2020 Corolla sedans comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, the automaker suite of Advanced Driver AIDS.

And this, of course, includes goodies like adaptive cruise control, road sign recognition, automatic high beams and much more.

Now, if a lot of this information sounds familiar, it should.

The sedan version is essentially a hatchback model with a deflated roof line in a slightly longer wheelbase.

Now, I actually had the chance to review that hatchback Corolla about six months ago and found it to be unexpectedly excellent, and I expect similar good things from the sedan version here, which is slated to go on sale next March.
