What is your inspiration for Strip That Down?

For Strip That Down,

I think for me I took so long to get into the solo mode.

It was kind of a bit of a depiction of

how I felt about becoming a solo artist and where

I wanted to go.

So I thought it was quite important to lay out the paint

before I get started.

Awesome.

Did you like it?

I do love it.

You have two songs on

the Billboard Top 100 charts right now.

—How does that make you feel? –Woo woo!

No, it's amazing.

I can't believe it. I'm so lucky.

I'm so fortunate.

And Zedd wanted me to collab.

And obviously they wanted to release when they did.

So we've got two in the charts at the moment,

the big B, which is great.

I love it.

What was it like transitioning into a solo artist?

It was a strange process because you kind

of have to look inside yourself a little about

what you're like and also what people think of you.

But then also what you want to achieve

and that was kind of where Strip That Down came

from because that's the kind of place where

I placed myself best.

And I didn't really want to do a genre…

I'm just trying to see what happens.

Ever since you had Bear,

how's it been balancing your career and being a father?

It's not the easiest thing to do in the world obviously

because I miss my son terribly.

And I think you kind of almost gamble a little bit.

You might miss something.

I don't want to miss those things in life.

When he speaks first and when he giggles

and stuff like that.

That's the hard part.

But I know why I'm doing my job

and I have to go and do my job.

And I love doing my job.

It's great.

But I love my family as well.

And I'm just very lucky that he's got such a great mom.
