in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month,

對於那些誰遺失。對於那些誰是寂寞的。對於那些誰正在尋找。對於那些誰已被發現。

as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

正 是 約 雅 斤 王 被 擄 去 第 五 年 四 月 初 五 日 ，在 迦 勒 底 人 之 地 、迦 巴 魯 河 邊 ，

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself,

耶 和 華 的 話 特 特 臨 到 布 西 的 兒 子 祭 司 以 西 結 ； 耶 和 華 的 靈 （ 原 文 是 手 ） 降 在 他 身 上 。

and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

當 三 十 年 四 月 初 五 日 ， 以 西 結 （ 原 文 是 我 ） 在 迦 巴 魯 河 邊 被 擄 的 人 中 ， 天 就 開 了 ， 得 見 神 的 異 象 。

Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures.

我 觀 看 ， 見 狂 風 從 北 方 颳 來 ， 隨 著 有 一 朵 包 括 閃 爍 火 的 大 雲 ， 周 圍 有 光 輝 ；

And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

從 其 中 的 火 內 發 出 好 像 光 耀 的 精 金 ；

And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

又 從 其 中 顯 出 四 個 活 物 的 形 像 來 。

And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides;

他 們 的 形 狀 是 這 樣 ：

As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man,

有 人 的 形 像 ，各 有 四 個 臉 面 ， 四 個 翅 膀 。

and the face of a lion, on the right side:

在 四 面 的 翅 膀 以 下 有 人 的 手 。

and they four had the face of an ox on the left side;

至 於 臉 的 形 像 ： 前 面 各 有 人 的 臉 ，

they four also had the face of an eagle.

右 面 各 有 獅 子 的 臉 ，

Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward;

左 面 各 有 牛 的 臉 ，

two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

後 面 各 有 鷹 的 臉 。

And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot:

各 展 開 上 邊 的 兩 個 翅 膀 相 接 ，各 以 下 邊 的 兩 個 翅 膀 遮 體 。

and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

他 們 的 腿 是 直 的 ， 腳 掌 好 像 牛 犢 之 蹄 ， 都 燦 爛 如 光 明 的 銅 。

And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, were full of eyes round about.

他 們 全 身 ， 連 背 帶 手 和 翅 膀 ， 都 滿 了 眼 睛 。

As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches:

至 於 四 活 物 的 形 像 ， 就 如 燒 著 火 炭 的 形 狀 ，又 如 火 把 的 形 狀 。

And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

這 活 物 往 來 奔 走 ， 好 像 電 光 一 閃 。

When they stood, they let down their wings.

他 們 站 住 的 時 候 ， 便 將 翅 膀 垂 下 。

And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters,

活 物 行 走 的 時 候 ， 我 聽 見 翅 膀 的 響 聲 ，像 大 水 的 聲 音 ，像 全 能 者 的 聲 音 ， 也 像 軍 隊 鬨 嚷 的 聲 音 。

as the voice of the Almighty, a tumultuous noise, as the noise of a host:

這 是 我 在 迦 巴 魯 河 邊 所 見 、 以 色 列 神 榮 耀 以 下 的 活 物 ，我 就 知 道 他 們 是 基 路 伯 。

This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.

我 又 觀 看 ， 見 基 路 伯 旁 邊 有 四 個 輪 子 。

And I looked, and behold, four wheels beside the cherubim,

這 基 路 伯 旁 有 一 個 輪 子 ， 那 基 路 伯 旁 有 一 個 輪 子 ，每 基 路 伯 都 是 如 此 ；

one wheel beside one cherub, and another wheel beside another cherub;

輪 子 的 顏 色 （ 原 文 是 形 狀 ） 彷 彿 水 蒼 玉 。

and the appearance of the wheels was as the look of a chrysolite stone.

四 輪 都 是 一 個 樣 式 ， 形 狀 和 作 法 好 像 輪 中 套 輪 。

And they four had one likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

至 於 輪 輞 ， 高 而 可 畏 ；四 個 輪 輞 周 圍 滿 有 眼 睛 。

As for their rims, they were high and dreadful and they four had their rims full of eyes round about.

活 物 行 走 ， 輪 也 在 旁 邊 行 走 ； 活 物 從 地 上 升 ， 輪 也 都 上 升 。

When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them;

靈 往 哪 裡 去 ， 活 物 就 往 那 裡 去 ； 活 物 上 升 ， 輪 也 在 活 物 旁 邊 上 升 ， 因 為 活 物 的 靈 在 輪 中 。

and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

輪 行 走 的 時 候 ， 向 四 方 都 能 直 行 ， 並 不 掉 轉 。

Wherever the spirit was to go, they went; there was the spirit to go:

頭 向 何 方 ， 他 們 也 隨 向 何 方 ， 行 走 的 時 候 並 不 掉 轉 。

and the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

我 又 聽 見 那 活 物 翅 膀 相 碰 ， 與 活 物 旁 邊 輪 子 旋 轉 震 動 轟 轟 的 響 聲 。

When they went, they went in their four directions: they didn't turn as they went,

至 於 這 些 輪 子 ， 我 耳 中 聽 見 說 是 旋 轉 的 。

but to the place where the head looked they followed it;

在 旋 轉 的 輪 內 基 路 伯 以 下，火 炭 。

And I heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another,

火 在 四 活 物 中 間 上 去 下 來 ， 這 火 有 光 輝 ，從 火 中 發 出 閃 電 。

and the noise of the wheels beside them, even the noise of a great rushing.

活 物 的 頭 以 上 有 穹 蒼 的 形 像 ，看 著 像 可 畏 的 水 晶 ， 鋪 張 在 活 物 的 頭 以 上 。

As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, the whirling wheels.

在 他 們 頭 以 上 的 穹 蒼 之 上 有 寶 座 的 形 像 ， 彷 彿 藍 寶 石 ； 在 寶 座 形 像 以 上 有 彷 彿 人 的 形 狀 。

In among the wheels, between the cherubim, were burning coals of fire.

我 見 從 他 腰 以 上 有 彷 彿 光 耀 的 精 金 ， 周 圍 都 有 火 的 形 狀 ，

The fire went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

又 見 從 他 腰 以 下 有 彷 彿 火 的 形 狀 ， 周 圍 也 有 光 輝 。

Over the head of the living creature there was the likeness of an expanse, like the awesome crystal to look on, stretched forth over their heads above.

下 雨 的 日 子 ， 雲 中 虹 的 形 狀 怎 樣 ， 周 圍 光 輝 的 形 狀 也 是 怎 樣 。

Above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone;

這 就 是 耶 和 華 榮 耀 的 形 像 。

and on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above.

我 一 看 見 就 俯 伏 在 地 ， 又 聽 見 一 位 說 話 的 聲 音 。

I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it round about,
